I was absolutely excited that Shane Bowen was going to be moved. Hints like that indicate trusted sources but it turns out once again it’s just clickbait tabloid fodder.

  2. Could Bowen get fired? Sure. But is it likely? No. Kafka has been thrust into HC for the first time in his life. You think he wants to upend the entire defensive coaching staff, change play callers and responsibilities right now? Hell no. Bowen cannot have a job here come season end, but I doubt he gets fired before then.

  5. Most beat reports are just saying opinions. IMO only Schwartz, O’Conner and M Francesca have close relations with the Mara’s and report real useful info.

  7. Maybe I am wrong but Connor Hughes does not seem particularly plugged in. He covers both the Jets and Giants and I find his approach to be more of a summary of what’s happening mixed with speculation than actual reporting. That clip posted last night did not seem like he was in the know at all, it was just speculation.

    I would consider Raanan more likely to have actual information.

  8. You can remove “NY” and leave that title as is. I think organizations across all sports are now wise to the media and how agents leverage reporters for their clients. No one saw the Cowboys trading for Quinnen. No one saw the Lakers landing Luka. Very few saw Soto going to the Mets (if I recall). I’m firmly in the “believe it when I see it” camp when it comes to these professional screamers and Tweeters making guesses.
