Brian Burns was credited with two sacks yesterday vs the Packers. He now has 13 sacks on the season in 11 games, a single season career high. Burns also has 17 TFL on the year, tied for the most in his career in one season.

  1. Burns also has 7 passes defended, one behind his single season high of 8 he had last year. He has 21 QB hits too, his career high was 22 in 2022.

  2. Dude I’m just pissed at how much of a waste this season has been. Aside from our secondary, we went into the season with average to above average players at almost every position group.

And because of atrocious coaching/scheming/development, it’s all a waste. Imagine someone like Sean McVay with our roster. Just annoys me.

  3. burns has been great

with that being said he was not good yesterday multiple 3rd and longs amd he was nowhere to be found

  4. I mean does AC or tibbs have anything to do with burns racking up sacks. I wonder if there’s any correlation to ACs pressures turning into burns sacks

  5. Burns is great, but yesterday he had two of the easiest sacks you can pick up.

The 1st sack was when Love tripped over his own linemen when moving up in the pocket and Burns was able to touch him just before Carter.

The 2nd sack was when Love slid for a sack to keep the clock running at the end of the game and Burns gets credit for being the closest defender.

But with that said, being in the right place is how you pick up these easy stat padders.

  6. Sucks that this is coming during such a shitty year for the team, but he’s been awesome. I’m glad we have him.

  7. Defensive MVP… Arguable just as important as sacks, he’s in the backfield pressuring the QB almost every play. Never let this man go

  8. That makes sense but it’s not like mason grahm was less productive than abdul , and he impacted winning more tha abdul did too in college

  9. This is a DPOY candidate and because of Shane Bowen he’s probably not going to get it. Just a waste of suck a great season for him, i’m sick of this nonsense.

  10. Disappearance act in the 4th quarter. Burns never gets a sack when we desperately need one ever all year.

People love pumping up how good some of our pass rushers are, but they do nothing every 4th quarter.

Carter is starting to get mainstream media criticism about his 1/2 a sack all season. They mention his pressures, but ask why can’t he get sacks?

His half a sack was literally game 1 of the season. So nothing since wtf

  11. Unfortunately you’re probably not winning DPOY if your team defense is atrocious.

Amazing year by Burns though! It’s strange, we’re seeing down years (statistically speaking on sacks) from Thibs, Dex and Carter, but Burns is leading the NFL.
