Another week or two of asserting himself as a safety blanket and I would seriously attempt to get an extension done in season; you can never have too many reliable pass catchers.
I remember a lot of folks confused when we traded for him like “He’s not gonna make a lot of big plays he just catches the ball consistently” as if that wasn’t the exact one thing we needed from a wide receiver this year.
Trevor played his best with reliable vets like MJJ, Jakobi is much needed in this offense
If the google AI overview is to be believed out of 14 completed passes yesterday Jakobi had 6 and 5 were for a first down
I’d rather have a WR room full of guys like Meyers and Washington than a WR1 that can take the top off of a defense but has trouble catching the ball.
Does Meyers give them the reliable middle of the field guy the offense seems to have been lacking?
I’m thrilled with his impact and production so far.
It’s just so odd that he’s been here for a cup of coffee and he has more chemistry with Trev than BTJ.
I’ve been a long fan of Tim Patrick and Jakobi… very happy to have them on the team
