But uh let’s get to this one between the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks. And the Miami Heat coming into this one with a record of 7-6 on the year, 8-5 against the number this season, while the Knicks 8-4 straight up and against the number this season with Miami coming in off of their loss to the Knicks 140 to 132 for back-to-back losses. while the Knicks come picking up the win at home over Miami got them their sixth win in their last seven games. Now we have the true traditional home and home, the kind of home and home that I’m used to. Not in today’s NBA where you play the backtoback in the same building that we’ve seen a lot of times. But uh you know a lot of times in the past I’ve thought that well you know there’s not usually enough time between games to make that much of an adjustment to expect a different result from what you see in the first meeting. And that would obviously suggest that maybe the Knicks pick up another win here, finally pick up their first road win of the season. But like I said, they’re also 0 and3 straight up and against the number this season. And they’ve lost by double digits in two games. And they’ve also lost their first game in Miami. They were laying three points. Lost 115 107. And that was a game where, you know, they had Jaylen Brunson who put up 37 points in that game. You know, Carl Anthony Towns had a double double 15 and 18. But you don’t have Jaylen Brunson for this game. And I’m not saying one player makes a whole team. I’m just saying that that is a big loss to have for the New York Knicks who did admittedly put up 140 points against Miami without Brunson in that last game. I mean, you had 39 points from Carl Anthony Towns, 3911, you know, Mitchell Robinson had 10 boards, but the way I look at it, you’re not going to get 36 points from Leandre Shamut um on a consistent basis. You’re not going to get 24 points from Jordan Clarkson game after game. He can definitely he’s capable of putting up 24 points obviously, but I just I don’t see it from um from, you know, uh Clarkson or Shaman on a consistent basis. I think the Miami Heat, you know, are still we’ve seen this team really switch up their play style, switch up their philosophy to where they like playing fast. They like playing these these uptempo, high-scoring games, a lot more pace in this Miami offense. And I think that without Jaylen Brunson, I think that that pace is going to make the New York Knicks extremely uncomfortable. And I just think that the Miami Heat are the more trustworthy side in this matchup. You know, they’re obviously missing Tyler Herro, Bam Adabio, but they’ve been able to win games, especially at home without those guys. They’re five- one straight up and against the spread. Their only loss coming to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they’ve been able to take care of business against some decent teams. They beat the Cavs, they beat the Blazers at home. So, I’m going to roll with Miami in this one plus the point and a half and maybe take them on the money line and that’s going to be my free pick.
