    >But getting Kempe done, that’s a big deal.

    >And, you know, I’ll say something else, too.
Tuch. Tuchs got to be looking at that Kempe deal and saying, that’s about my number.
We’ll see where Buffalo goes from here. Can I say something else about Buffalo while we’re here?

    >Of course you can.

    >There’s been a lot of talk about Tage Thompson. I look at it this way. We talked about this a bit in the last pod.

    >The Buffalo Sabres do not want to trade Tage Thompson. Zero. Zero.
Berkeley wants to trade you more than Buffalo wants to trade Tage Thompson.
    I believe that.

    >And I know Berkeley loves his dad. I don’t joke about that. I know Berkeley loves his dad.

    >So that’s how little Buffalo wants to trade Tage Thompson. Now, if at some point, Tage Thompson wants to force the issue, at some point, and that’s not now, it’s different, Kyle.
But the bottom line is, they don’t want to do this.

    >And I watched Tage Thompson the other night, on Saturday night, he scored one goal that only prime Zdeno Chára could stop, and he scored another goal where he blasted Alex DeBrincat into the stratosphere, right?

    >And I just think that when you have great players, you keep them. Like, you force…
If they want to force the issue, you say, okay, you forced the issue. Like, we want to know, we want everyone to know that we did this because the player wanted it. And sometimes it gets to that point.

    > But if I’m the Sabres or I’m anybody else, it’s all… I’m just looking at it and saying, and I say this with LA too, hey, he’s a top player, he’s our guy, we’re not going anywhere with him. If he leaves, it’s not going to be because we want him to leave.

  2. We can’t keep trading all of our good players for hopes and prayers just because they MIGHT want out. Not to mention I don’t trust management to competently execute a Thompson trade

  3. guaranteed contracts mean stop being huge cowards sabres management. Grow a pair and let guys refuse to be paid before trading them for peanuts.

  4. Is this even real, the grammar is redundant. If at some point Tage wants to force the issue at some point. Is this a misquote or a fake quote?
