Draymond Green Breaks Down Heated Pelicans Fan “Angel Reese” Moment

The fan actually had a pretty good joke one of the first couple plays of the game. I laid the ball up and I missed it. Tapped up miss. Tapped up miss. Obviously those are off his rebounds. He’s like, “Oh, you you Angelice.” And so I laughed. I’m like, “Oh, okay. That was a little funny.” As the night goes on, he continues to go, “You Angelice.” And then there’s a little more said with it as a man with four children soon to be five. Once you start to add the different fillers onto your Angel Reese, at a certain point now you’re disrespecting me as a man to where your message is a little different than what you were saying before. Like you’re not going to just keep calling me a woman’s name. I am Draymond Green. Make no mistake about it. No disrespect to Angel Ree, but you’re not going to continue to just call me a woman. Enjoy the game. Watch the game. Cheer your team on. To continue to yell to me that I’m a woman. That just ain’t going to work.

  2. But the taunt was never about calling you "a woman" at all. It was comparing your game to Angel Reese specifically. Not sure how he understood that at first but then later just heard "a woman" in his own mind, completely changing the fan's joke.
