As Melinda, all good in the building says, all good vibes today. Yeah, all good vibes today. Hourglass, what does the poll mean by a trap game? So, a trap game, which shout out to Melinda, all good. Let me get you your four tickets for the JJ Watt autograph raffle. Melinda, it’s all good. Her the huge, it’s all good. Um, a trap game, uh, is basically a game that you are overlooking. A game that you think it’s very easy, you have in the bag most of the time. you have a bigger opponent in the next week which Texans playing the Titans worst team in the NFL. They play the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night football directly after. So a trap game is a game where you overlook the team, you don’t think they’ll be any challenge any good and you go out there and more often than not you play down to your competition and the other team ends up having a chance to win that game when in reality the Texans are a much better team than the Tennessee Titans. So a trap game is a game that you kind of overlook. you’re not looking at and sometimes you end up losing those games. Uh Brad O’Neal, you send it Jeremy Chugs. You know what? I’ll actually put that in the uh live chat right now, my Twitter link. If you want to hit me up on Twitter, Jeremy Chugs. You can either DM me or if you just want to tweet it at me and um tag me, you can do so. That’s how you can get your free ticket. Mr. Brad O’Neal. Shout out to Melinda. All good. getting those four raffle tickets for the JJ Watt raffle. Let me know what is your confidence level. I just talked about it being a trap game. Obviously, with that, a lot of confidence because the Texans, as I mentioned, should beat the Tennessee Titans this week. Confidence level in the Texans this week. Scale it 1 to 100. One, you have no confidence. 100, we should just sim into next week. Madden sim till uh we play the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night. Let me know down in the comments section your confidence level for this game this week as y’all are getting those in. I will rego over some of the injury news that happened today. All these guys not practicing during Texans practice today. CJ Shroud still dealing with concussion-like symptoms. So, he was not out there. It looks like Davis Mills will be gearing up to be that starter this Sunday up against Tennessee. Jaylen Petri, the defensive back, still out with a concussion as well. He did not play this past week up against Jacksonville. Will he have to miss another week up against the Tennessee Titans? And then Ka Fairbar, not a concussion, but maybe the worst injury that you could have as a kicker. He has a leg injury. Um it’s like if you were a pitcher and you had a broken hand like really like that’s the thing you need. It’s the it’s the main component to kind of what’s making this whole dish work. So Kim Fairburn out another week with a leg injury. So just some names that you got to look at. Also practicing today though, Kate Stove is back at practice today. Trent Brown, I told you he was injured after that Jags game. He was at practice today. So was Titus Howard. So some good news. Even though there are some guys that are missing practice, we are getting some guys back in prep uh preparation for that Titans game. Now, we’re about to get into our first segment of today’s show, but as a reminder, use that hashtag Texans or super chat to get on the show. We’ll be doing the mailbag at the end of today’s program. So, if you want a chance to ask a question or if you just have a statement, something that you want to say around the Houston Texans, around the NFL, whatever, use that hashtag Texans or super chat so you can get on the program and we can get you going. As I do see, I said it was a trap game and producer Jack, we got 100% 99% 100% 85% 100% in the confidence meters. Nope. Yeah. Pin pole producer Jack did point out is this week a trap game? About 5050. about 5050 on saying it’s a trap game and not a trap game. So, very interesting stuff there. CJ knows Mills can’t replace him. CJ is the franchise. I agree. Alberto, what’s up? Alberto, how are we doing? Just joining in right now. How are you doing on this fine Wednesday afternoon? I’m doing well. I’m doing well. We’re actually getting ready to start our first segment on the live show. I’m be I’m gonna be talking about I know I know a lot of confidence in the chat and I want, you know, I want fans to feel good. I want them to feel confident about this team and feel confident about this game. But the first segment I’m going to tell you why you might want to have a little skepticism around this game. Because as I mentioned, I think it’s the big T-word, big trap game. Before we get into the first segment on today’s program, can we get 50 likes on this show before we get into that first segment? 91 people watching. We have 25 likes, 25 to go. Can we get to 50 likes and we’ll get the show on the road? Brandon says Mills over Bills. Dude, we need to make that into a t-shirt. And I I will say I do appreciate everybody rocking and rolling. It’s I know it’s a Wednesday. I know uh midday Wednesday leading up to a Titans game. Maybe not the uh most exciting preview that we’re going to talk about on today’s show, but I appreciate everybody for rocking and rolling. So, this is what I’m going to do. Like the video and type those H’s. I’m going to give away two free raffle tickets before we start this first uh first segment out. Like the video and spam those H’s and I’m going to give away two free raffle tickets to start this show out before we get into our first segment on the program. I see all y’all. I appreciate y’all in the chat. Let’s see. Let’s see who’s gonna get it. Who’s gonna get it? I’m gonna go with not rhythm. And then I’m gonna go with uh let’s see. Let’s see. He was one of the first people in here. I’m going to go with Stan. I’ll go with Stan. We are two likes away. Two likes away. How how would they say it in baseball, Jack? Two down. Two down. We are one like away from 50 and we’ll get the show started. We actually change that to the red uh background real quick before we Hello. Oh, I hear Oh, I’m I’m here. There we go. Little little little base in the jack. Sam. Um, all right. We are at 50 likes, so we’re going to get going on the first segment. And I mean, 50 the magic number. Is it a trap game? Officially, the live poll is 5050, producer Jack. So, really, you could you you could tell it’s a good live poll whenever it’s a 5050. Um, but all right, we’re going to get going on the first segment on today’s program. Shout out to everybody out there if you could like today’s video. Bonus points. I’ll give you a gold star if you share this video on social media. As we get going on our first segment, why Texans fans should maybe be a little bit worried about the big T-word this weekend. [Music] Welcome into Texans today, everybody. I am your host Jeremy Chugs and on today’s show we’re talking Texans up against the Tennessee Titans. Obviously Titans hate week. We do not like Tennessee. We do not like the Titans, the team that stole football from the city of Houston for multiple years before the Texans came in and saved the day. Obviously, we want to beat them on and off the field. Then our Titans host Brett Alper has been talking a lot of [ __ ] because he had a couple videos earlier this week that I’m not going to lie, they did pretty well in getting subscribers. We are behind them this week in terms of getting new subscribers on the channel. So, I need y’all’s help. If you haven’t subscribed already, hit that sub button. Free Texans content all year long. We are the number one Texans community here on YouTube. and just hate the Tennessee Titans and want to see them get another L this week. Make sure you hit that sub button, send it to a friend, send it to a friend of a friend, and let’s beat the Titans this week. And coming up, three reasons why the Titans game worries me. Even though I should feel really confident in this team, and I should really feel confident up against the Tennessee Titans, because I mean, let’s be honest, they are the worst team in the NFL. If the season ended today, they would have the number one pick in the NFL draft. And the reason why I’m worried, it’s the big T- word. It’s a trap game. I think the Texans could possibly be looking ahead, be looking past the Tennessee Titans. And that worries me a little bit. I’m not going to lie to you folks because the Texans play the Bills on a short week. It’s going to be Thursday Night Football. Yes, all these games you see on screen right now, I will be live for. I go live for every single Texans game during the season. But obviously, you’re playing the worst team and then you play a big team in the AFC, the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen. I definitely think the Texans could possibly be overlooking their opponent this week. No matter how bad they’ve been, no matter how bad they play, no matter how much the Texans put a whooping on them in their first matchup does worry me a little bit. The fact that we have some big games. We have the Bills, Colts, Chiefs right after the Titans. Could definitely see this team looking ahead of Tennessee just a little bit. But what say you? Do you think this is a trap game for the uh Houston Texans? Give me a yes. give me a note down in the comments section. I’m actually filming this live during one of my live segments on Texans Today Live. I go live every Wednesday at 3:30 Central time. And I’m not lying. The live poll right now is this question and it’s 5050. Let me know what you think down below in the comments section. My take is I 100% think this is the definition of a trap game. And that worries me because, you know, as I’m filming this, CJ Stroud did not practice on Wednesday. And I’ve heard from multiple people that even if he was to practice, the sentiment at NRG was, well, it’s just the Titans. Why not start Davis Mills one more week and make sure that CJ Strad is good to go up against the Buffalo Bills? Which in theory makes sense, right? You don’t want to, you know, risk injury against a lesser opponent whenever you have three big games coming up. But can I remind you of last season when the Texans overlooked the Tennessee Titans and this was the result. This was a home game for the Texans last year and they lost 32-27 to Tennessee. This was just last season and this was maybe with a worst quarterback in Will Levice. So any given Sunday, anything can happen even against the worst team in the National Football League. So, I 1,000% think this is a trap game for your Houston Texans. Out of all the games on their schedule, this is probably the one that teams are, you know, this team in particular is like, oh yeah, you know, it’s not that big of a deal. You know, it’s, like I said, it’s the Tennessee Titans. That happened last year. And what happened? The Titans came into NRG. They whooped our butt. It was I know it’s a 32 to 27. That game, I don’t think it was as close as the score lets on. the Titans really did kind of dominate that game for most of the game up against the Texans last year. So, as a reminder, don’t overlook the Tennessee Titans this week, even if they are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Now, coming up, two more reasons why this game worries me a little bit on the Texans front. Even though, like I said, Texans heavy favorites. They should be, you know, well off up against the Tennessee Titans. But I have two more reasons why I’m a little bit worried. You know what doesn’t worry me? Playing daily fantasy sports on my favorite app, Prize Pick. Because this hard-hitting football action is even better with Prize Picks. The weather, it might be a changing, but the feeling of being right never gets old. So keep the season rolling on Prize Pick by getting $50 instantly in lineups when you play your first $5. It’s super simple. Just pick more or less on at least two player stats. If you get your picks right, you can cash in and win big time. And this is the lineup that I’m rolling with for this weekend. I’m using one of the new stacks features on prize picks. What does that mean, Jeremy? Well, I’m glad you asked. It means you can use one player with multiple projections. So, I have Cam Ward. His pass yards. I’m going less rush yards. It’s only four and a half. And this Texans pass rush has been awesome. I think Cam Ward will have to scramble at least a couple times in this game. So, give me the more on that. Going a little risky with some Demon picks here. Jaden Higgins.5 for a rushing or receiving touchdown. I’m going more. And then Woody Marks, I’m going more on his rush yards. The Demon picks means you have a little bit of a higher payout. So, I don’t know. Might be worth it. You can use my lineup or go ahead and make your own Price Fix. They put their users first. So, all withdrawals are fast, safe, and secure. Price Fix offers Vinmo, Apple Pay, Mastercard, and more for quick and easy deposits into your account this football season. Download the Price Fix app today. Use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It is good to be right. Reason number two why I’m a little bit worried about this game. I already mentioned more than likely CJ Shroud will not be playing this week. The Texans have had a couple injuries kind of piling up as the season has progressed. Here’s some season ending injuries that we’ve already seen. MJ Stewart went down this past week. He is out. Jaylen Smith was put on IR for the second time in the season. So that means he will miss the remainder of the season. Revan Jordan got hurt in preeason. And then the last two I just added Joe Mixon and Tank Dell because maybe they might be out for the entire season. We don’t know. But as of right now, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Joe Mixon or Tank Dell anytime soon. And not only with that, also you had a multitude of Texans who were out this past week up against Jacksonville. CJ Strad did not play. Titus Howard, he did not play even though he is practicing today. Also, Ed Ingram was practicing today as I am filming on Wednesday. Ky Fairburn did not practice today. And Jaylen Petri did not practice today. So, you have a lot of guys who missed last week and the injuries, like I said, piling up a little bit. And this kind of leads into, oh well, you know, CJ Strad, maybe you don’t play him. Oh, maybe you know this guy, that guy, you don’t play him. Trent Brown, he was injured versus the Jags. He did practice today. His X-rays came back negative, uh, thankfully for his injury that he sustained up against Jacksonville. He was out there practicing, but I do wonder there, you’re like, you know what, we’ll just put Titus Howard in right tackle. We won’t even talk about moving Titus Howard back into guard as those injuries are piling up. And on the flip side of things, I will say the Titans don’t come in unscathed uh unscathed themselves. They have Jeffrey Simmons who missed the last Titans game. They had a by-week the week before. All these guys missed. Calvin Ridley, Xavier Woods, and Ardan Key. So, they have some injuries, too. But the Texans, they have some injuries. And I also don’t want to see any more injuries sustained in this Titans game because maybe you’re kind of taking a playoff here or there. maybe you’re not taking it as serious as you should and you get injured on a play up against Tennessee when you have some bigger opponents coming up in the coming weeks. The last reason why I’m a little bit worried is people out on CJ Stout and this one might get an eye roll. This one I might have some people in my live chat who are like, Jeremy, what are you even talking about? CJ playing this week was already 50/50 before the news came out that he didn’t practice Wednesday that he hadn’t cleared concussion protocol. He was already 5050 this week because concussion protocol and because he was on a short week. And I put multiple polls out on my social medias and after the Jags game, a lot of people were saying, “Hey, why don’t we just have CJ Strad be the backup for the rest of the season?” And I want to just say this, I’m 100% team CJ. Mills, really good quarterback, really good backup, but CJ is the future. CJ Strad is the franchise. And the one thing that has me worried is, you know, Davis Mills comes in against a bad opponent in Tennessee, plays really well, and the heat starts kind of growing. The heat starts growing of, you know, we should play him over CJ Strad. People saying, “Oh yeah, I’m out on CJ Strad.” I I’m I’m honestly kind of tired of that rhetoric because at the end of the day, anybody who has two eyeballs knows out of their entire body of work, CJ Strad has looked much better at his highest than Davis Mills has ever. Even this past week up against Jacksonville, Davis Mills played a fantastic game. And there’s a reason why he was extended this uh during this season for next year already. There’s a reason why they’re paying him $7 million to be a backup because he’s a really good locker room guy. He’s a really good teammate. And at the end of the day, he’s a good quarterback that can get you a couple wins. But if we’re talking starting 17 games, I would not feel confident in a team with Davis Mills being the prolonged starter, the guy for 17 games or for an entire season. CJ Strad is head and shoulders the top guy on this team, the top guy for everybody out there. So, the reason why I’m a little bit worried is because, yeah, you’re playing a, you know, opponent that you should beat. It is a little bit of a trap game, but at the end of the day, I think the Texans will win this game. And I I do wonder if Davis Mills goes out there and lights it up again. Will my comments section be flooded with Davis Mills should be the starter? We need to bench CJ Strap. I really hope not. Quick reminder, I will be live for this game. It is kicking off at noon, so I’ll be live 30 minutes before kickoff per usual. Make sure you pull up as we are rooting on our Houston Texans. We have a chance to get back to 500. Let’s not squander it this week up against Tennessee. All right. And as I just kind of laid it out there, if both were healthy, who do you think should start? I I gave my point. I I will say, you know, everybody’s entitled to their own opinion. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. And you know, as by the live polls that I’ve done, the people like the people that I’ve talked to on social media, there are multiple people that do think Davis Mills should be the starter. Let me know what you think, though. If both were healthy this week, who do you think should be the starter? I’m slamming my CJ. Um, hourglass. That’s funny. DM this week and CJ next week from Alberto. Okay. Um CJ7s. I see a lot of CJ7s. Davis Straoud from Enrique. CJ uh Pray in the building. He says, “Get well soon, Pastor 7.” I trust D Millie, though. That’s a good thing, right? You you you paid a backup to uh to kind of be there if you need him. Break glass in case of emergency. And he did just that. He stepped up to the plate. And you know, this isn’t a segment of I don’t think Davis Mills is a good quarterback. I think he’s good. But in the grand scheme of things, is Davis Mills a franchise quarterback that I want to, you know, h like hang my hat on for the next couple seasons? No. No. Like he he’s not bad. He’s serviceable. He reminds me of a you know what, Texans fans, if you’ve been a you know, Texans fan for a long time, you know, you know who Davis Mills is? Davis Mills is Sage Rosenfeld’s. Let me know if you know that reference. Jack might be a little too young for that reference. Do you know who Sage Rosenfelds is? If you’ve been a Texans fan since the inception, since the very beginning, I think that’s an exact comparison. Sage Rosenfelds was good. Like, he was good for this team. and he started instincts for I believe it was uh David Carr. Let me let me double check. I think it he did start in stints for David Carr and then we went we ended up going to uh Matt Sha trading with the Atlanta Falcons. Look at my list. Yeah, I I want to say he’s he started for Derek. Yeah, Sage. Oh, no. Sage Rosenfeld started for Matt Shop 0708. Okay. Yeah. Matt Shop’s first seasons. He got injured and Sage Rosenfelds came in. Maybe a little TJ Yates, the Yates of Hell. Do you you know that reference? TJ Yates. Yeah. Oh, there we go. for for the little bit younger audience, TJ Yates, 49. Um, as a reminder, the super chat menu for today’s program, any super chat gets you up on screen. $10 for a JJ Watt autograph picture raffle all throughout the month of November. It is salute to service. So, we will be giving away a JJ Watt autograph picture. He’s in his salute to service jersey. He’s carrying the American flag. It’s absolutely dope. $20 gets you four raffle tickets. And if you are veteran or active duty, make sure to message me on xjeremychugs a picture of you serving, something that shows me proof that you served, and I will make sure to get you a free raffle ticket. Another super chat coming in from Pay Strad, 1,000% Mills, a top three Texans QB of all time in my opinion. I uh I highly disagree with that. I don’t think Mills is a top three quarterback even though the Texans haven’t been a franchise for a long time. Um, I would take Matt Shab over him. I would probably I would take CJ Stra over him probably. I mean, you got to even though how it ended, even though all that stuff, you know, off the field, if we’re, you know, separating the art from the artist here, Deshun Watson’s in that top three. I Ryan Fitzpatrick I think was better. Case Keenum played really well for this team. I think all those guys might be a little bit ahead of Davis Mills in my opinion. In my opinion. Harrison Diggs put it put it well. Top three quarterbacks in history. Straoud one. Groper Cleveland two three Matt Shop. I mean, say say what you will, and you know, I don’t condone anything he did off the field, but Watson was a great player for for the Texans. You’re taking Mills over Fitzpatrick. I I would take Oh, Alberto, I would not take Brock eyes Osweiler. I would take Davis Mills over Brock Osweiler. That’s This isn’t a good time to say that. You any other player you can you can do that. Osweiler was cheeks. Osweiler was so Osweiler was so bad that they gave up a draft pick to trade him away so they didn’t have to pay him anymore. That That’s how bad he was. He was so bad the Texans were like, “We’ll give you a pick to take him off of our roster.” Not Rhythm says, “I try to forget that guy.” Yeah. Sebastian says, “Tom Savage.” H I remember the days whenever I thought Tom Savage might be the answer. I I Those were the days. Those were the days. Coming up, we have a mailbag. We have one more segment, but then a mailbag, but producer Jack’s telling me we need more Texans questions. So, you want to get on the show, use that hashtag Texans, or you can super chat any amount with uh a question and that’ll be able to get you on screen as well. Um, but I am being told that we do need more questions or else we we just won’t do the mailbag at the end of the show. If if we don’t have enough questions, I I obviously we need your questions to be able to to answer the questions. So, if you want to get on the show, use the hashtag Texans, ask me whatever. You can just have a statement, whatever you want to say, but make sure you get in with those hashtag Texans before we get into the mailbag. All right, coming up. I have Texans that I think deserve to play more. They’ve earned more playing time throughout this year already. And I’m looking straight at you, Demo. I’m looking straight at you, Nick Kaylee. Everybody in the Texans front office, you need to play these guys more or else the season won’t go how we want it to because these guys, they are budding playmakers, butting, you know, starters for this team. And the fact that they’re not getting enough playing time is absolutely brutal. So, coming up, I’m going to tell you the guys that need more playing time on this Texans squad. Coming up on today’s show, I’m going to be breaking down Texans who need more playing time during the second half of the season. Obviously, sitting at four and five, it’s not the start that Texans fans or anybody expected slash wanted this year, but hopefully we can get back on the right track with a win up against Tennessee this week. Get back to 500. And it is a trap game, but hopefully our guys go out there and play well. But I have some guys who they’ve been playing well already, but the snap c counts haven’t reflected that. They haven’t been getting on the field nearly as much as they should be. So, drop some names in the comments section. Who do you think I’m about to talk about? Who do you think needs more playing time? Let me know down in the comments section. And maybe you’ll see one of those names coming up on today’s program. The first one, maybe we see some, maybe we don’t. Jarrett Patterson and maybe center, maybe at left guard because this past week up against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jared Patterson did not look half bad at all. And I would say this, out of all the interior linemen, I think he’s the smartest and best pass blocking interior offensive lineman that the Texans have. He was starting at center for this Texans team before. He was a starter at center for Notre Dame for multiple seasons. He’s a very intelligent intelligent player and he hasn’t got really any run this year. He came in for you know Jake Andrews in stints at the center spot, but this is the first time he got any of guard reps this season for the Houston Texans. And I thought he played really well and his communication, the fact that he’s been a center. Centers are usually the guys who are the best communicators up front on the offensive line. I think having him at the left guard spot next to the rookie and Aronte Ursery is actually going to help his progression a little bit more as well. You insert him, a smart player, a good pass blocker at the left guard spot. You know, I don’t think they’re going to switch out Jake Andrews because that’s Cole Papovic’s BFF forever. They uh you know, he played for him in college, so they’re not going to replace him at center. Why not play Jared Patterson at that left guard? There’s been a rotating, you know, door of Lake and Tomlinson and Juice Grudge and they started City S this past week. Whoever decided to start City S, your job should be on the line cuz that was absolutely atrocious. Either way though, I think Jarrett Patterson throughout his tenure with the Houston Texans has shown he is a reliable pass blocker and he’s a smart player. So, why not insert him at the left guard spot, see what we have, and we go Ursery, Jared Patterson, Jake Andrews, Ed Ingram if he’s healthy, and then Titus Howard. I I would be willing to try that out if you’re the Houston Texans. Also, another guy who I think deserves a little bit more playing time, British Brooks. Oh, British Brooks. Yes, the fullback British Brooks. I think he needs more snaps. whenever he’s gotten in there, he’s shown that he is a excellent run blocker and he only got a couple snaps up against Jacksonville, but he looked really good up against the 49ers. This play right here, he absolutely levels the defensive tackle on what is known as a wham block. A wham block is whenever a fullback or a tight end basically come across the formation, usually in motion, and they block a down lineman who the center and guard just like let loose. And British Brooks absolutely levels this guy. And for Texans fans, it’s actually really good news cuz I think we could be seeing a lot of more of these wham blocks, a lot of these, you know, pancakes in the middle of the field by not only British Brooks, but Kate Stove, who returned to practice this week. I think we need some more of those wham blocks. open up the running lanes for Woody Marks, who it’s another guy I think is getting more playing time. I was going to put him on this video, but he was actually the RB1 for the Texans up against the Jags. By far got the most carries out of any Houston Texans in week 10. I think it’s a good sign that we’re seeing more and more Woody Marks for this squad. He’s a really good runner and a really good pass catcher out of the back field. And I think if we’re going to use Woody Marks more, why not try and use British Brooks more and open up some of those running lanes for Woody across this formation? I think having in British Brooks and then letting him either block for Woody March or even, hey, sit in there and be a little bit of a pass blocker for the quarterback position, I think British Brooks deserves a little bit more playing time on the offensive side of the football. And this is probably the name that everybody’s gonna say. This is the name that I saw the most in my comment section during my live show and it’s obvious. It’s Jaylen Null. He needs more snaps. Got less than 40% of the offensive snaps up against the Jacksonville Jags. But had one of the biggest plays. Remember it was fourth and short. They ran kind of a, you know, it was a pre- snap motion, a yo-yo motion where he runs to the right, runs left, and then runs back to the right. And they got him in the flat for a first down. It was a massive play. Then what happened? They directly took him out. They said, “Get out. Get out. Jaylen Null, you made an amazing catch on fourth down. You move the sticks. You’re good. You can sit out the rest of the drive.” Jaylen Null has shown you he is electric with the ball in his hands. Not only pass catching, but also as a return man. So, I want to see more Jaylen Null on offense. I want to see him being used more. Yes, they’ve tried here and there for like gadget plays on jet sweeps and, you know, wide receiver screens, but Jaylen Null, he’s a good route runner. He’s a good player. They drafted him in round three for a reason. So, let’s use him more on offense. Why are we not doing that? It’s actually it’s it’s actually really frustrating. And speaking of Jaylen Null, I want to know out of all the cyclones on this Texans offense, Jaylen Null, Xavier Hutchinson, and Jaden Higgins, who do you think gets a touchdown this weekend? Let me know down in the comments section. You think it’s JN Jaylen Null, XH Xavier Hutchinson, or JH Jaden Higgins? I want to know what you think down below. And if you have any strong feeling around any one of these guys scoring a touchdown this weekend, I have the app just for you. It’s called Prize Picks. If you’re looking, Jeremy, what lineup are you putting in? Well, I got you covered on that one, too. I’m also using one of the new features on the Prize Fix app. It’s called stacks. You can choose one player and have multiple uh multiple projections for him. That’s what I’m doing this week for Cam Ward. I think he’s going to go less on his pass yards. The rush yards, it’s only four and a half. And the Texans front five, front four. They’re going to get after him. So, I think he’ll have a couple rushing yards just escaping Will Anderson Jr. and Denil Hunter. I’m also going I type my JH Jaden Higgins for the touchdown and Woody Marks I think the more on his rushing yards. You can use my lineup or if you’re typing one of those other guys if you were typing you know Jaylen Null or Xavier Hutchinson go ahead and make your own lineup with those guys in it. It’s good to be right. All right, let’s look on the defensive side of the football now at some guys who deserve some more playing time. First up, defensive tackle Tommy Togi. He I think deserves more snaps as well. And I know it says zero sacks there, but when you look at the pass block win rate for defensive tackles on the Texans team, Tommy Toga is up there. He has been able to get pressure on quarterbacks, get a lot of pressure up the middle, force them out to let Denil Hunter or Will Anderson Jr. get those sacks. I think he’s a really good player. There’s a reason why the Texans ended up giving him a contract extension. And you know, I’m not saying that Sheldon Rankings, Mario Edwards Jr., Tim Settle, Deno Autry, those guys are bad necessarily, but I think the young guy has a little bit of the hot hand. I would like to see more Tommy Togi as the year goes on. The one question mark with him though is obviously he’s a bigger boy. Does conditioning have anything to play with this? Because the Texans like to keep those guys fresh, keep them rotated in. Tommy Togai maybe won’t get more of the snap count, but I do think he deserves to be in on some of the more important plays during games, you know, like fourth quarter snaps, third down snaps as an interior pass rusher. I think on more key plays, we should see more Tommy Togai. Maybe not more snaps because I don’t know if the conditioning is, you know, good enough for him to play, you know, 60 70 80% of the snaps for the Texans defense. But for more important plays, I think Tommy Togai, the defensive tackle, we seen a couple plays of him getting some TFLs. Maybe we see a little bit more of him and see some sacks coming in for the defensive tackle. Let’s look at another guy who deserves more playing time. And maybe, you know, he deserves it, but also the Texans kind of need him to get more playing time. It’s Miles Bryant who stepped in for MJ Stewart after he went down in that game up against Jacksonville. Now MJ Stewart is out for the remainder of the season. So Miles Bryant, he played well against Jacksonville. I think he deserves some more playing time and 100% I think he’s going to get it because I don’t foresee the Texans making a splashy move in free agency. Even though there are some safeties out there, I did make a video earlier this week of some guys the Texans could sign if they wanted to. I think more than likely they’re just going to say Miles Bryant, who they did sign to the active roster this week, they had just been elevating him from the practice squad. I think they’re going to look at him to say, “Hey, we need you to step up more.” The one problem in that though is is Mile Miles Bryant is really good. He’s a he’s a really good player. Um, but he plays predominantly in the slot. So, I do wonder if we see some other guys step in like a Jaylen Reed who maybe the rookie gets more work. No, you know, I want to say maybe he got one defensive snap last week. He’s played predominantly in special teams, but up until that Jacksonville game, he had had zero defensive snaps for the Houston Texans. I think Jaylen Reed, who played mostly free safety at Penn State, should get a little bit more run as well. And then it is to be noted during practice this week, Jaylen Mills, who is on the practice squad, was also getting safety reps for this Texans squad. But somebody who played really well, he played well last year for the Texans as well, is Miles Bryant, who I think has showed he deserves some more playing time and will definitely get more playing time with the injuries that has stacked up. Last one, I’m going to cheat a little bit. I think with the injuries, the people that deserve more playing time is some three linebacker sets. The Texans, they run a 425 base package, which means it’s four down linemen, two linebackers, and five defensive backs. But with all the injuries to the secondary, I think we should go with some more three linebacker sets, which means more snaps for two guys in particular. EJ Speed, who the Texans signed this off seasonason. I think he’s been a really good signing for this Texans squad. He’s been flying around the field. He’s played well. And same with Henry Toeto. I know he’s had a couple plays here and there that, you know, didn’t go how he wanted, namely that week two missed tackle on Baker Mayfield in the fourth quarter, but besides that, I think Toeto has played pretty well. pretty decent in coverage as well. So, I want to see some more 4-3 sets with all the stuff going on in the back end. If we can’t kind of figure out that safety position, maybe we run a lot more three linebacker sets to help out, you know, the thin secondary that we have and get the linebackers a little bit more involved. That’s all I have for you on today’s show, folks. If you want to hit me up on X, you can do so at Jeremychugs. My DMs are always open. Maybe send it to a friend of a friend. Let’s beat the Titans on and off the field this week. All right. Now, I was talking a lot about a lot of Texans rookies in that past segment. So, I want to know rate the Texans draft from this season, ABC, B, C, D, or F. Looking back, you know, the Texans traded out of the first round. They took Jaden Higgins, then they went Ursery, then they drafted Jaylen Null and um they drafted the corner um why am I Jaylen Smith. Then they took Woody Marks. So, let me know what do you think of the draft so far and the guys who they selected because I actually tweeted out maybe about three or four hours ago. Um, two of the best rookies, two of the best rookie offensive linemen so far this season, Arante Ursery and Tate Ratlage, who I like Jaden Higgins and I like Jaylen Null a ton. I think they’re both excellent players, but um I can’t lie, man. The thought of having Tate Rattlage and Arante Ursery together, that’s very enticing to me. Very, very enticing. If we were to have two of the best rookie offensive linemen together, they only took one lineman in this draft. I think that is maybe Cacerio’s biggest mistake. And I don’t want it to be equated that I wanted an offensive lineman. So, I don’t think Jaden Higgins or Jaylen Null are good players. I think they’re really good. Um, just the fact that we need more O line help and the fact that we didn’t take any more of them, a little upsetting, not going to lie. See a lot of B’s coming through, which I’d probably say the same. I’d probably say a B minus for this Texans um, rookie class. They played well. Would like to see a little bit more um, run for these guys, but I I agree B minus is probably where I would lay as well. Quick reminder as we get into the final segment on today’s show. If you do want to super chat, get a question in, you’ll get on screen. $10, which Melinda all good get another raffle ticket. Like I said, make sure you get those hashtag Texans in the comments section. All right, here we go. I think we have a decent amount of questions in there. Um, I appreciate you super chatting donating to the show. So, make sure you get in on the mailbag there, Melinda. Um, there’s still some open slots. All right, you produce Red Producer Jack. Producer JD. All right, JD said he’s good to go as well, so let’s get started. He He He looked nervous. He was like He was like, “Have you seen that meme where it’s like?” Um, all right. Let’s get started with our last segment here on Texans Today, our Texans mailbag. Welcome into Texans Today, everybody. I’m your host, Jeremy Chugs, and we got a mailbag on tap for you today. All these questions are from our live show on November 12th, 2025. All you got to do use Texans or Super Chat to get featured on the show. And like I said, all the questions are from our loyal subscribers who tuned into our live show. We’re live every Wednesday at 3:30 Central time. All right, let’s get the first question in from Melinda. All good. All’s good. Why not use the same old line the hashtag Texans played with this past week? They played well. Um, so in that instance, this is who we’re looking at. Left tackle Aronte Ursery, left guard Jarrett Patterson, center Jake Andrews, right guard Juice Scrugs, and right tackle Trent Brown. Now, I will say that the Texans probably won’t have Trent Brown at right tackle this week at least. They’ll probably have Titus Howard who’s back from injury. I do think that more than likely we’ll see Titus Howard at tackle. I know a lot of people are clamoring maybe we get, you know, Titus Howard pushed into guard and Trent Brown at right tackle. I don’t know. I do I do know that more likely than not Titus Howard will start on this Texans offensive line if it’s at right tackle or another position. So, I don’t think we’ll get the same line that we got last week. But, I do think Jarrett Patterson at left guard showed that he is maybe one of the best pass blocking interior linemen that we have. maybe deserves a little bit more respect and maybe some playing time at one of the guard spots themselves if not at the center spot. Good question. Meinda Stephen coming in. Hashtag Texans. Any news on Joe Mixon? No news yet. No news yet. Um, he has been more active on social media and I said it, you know, during the 49ers game, Joe Mixon was in attendance. Joe Mixon was seen at NRG Stadium. He was seen in the locker room. He did not have a boot on, did not have crutches, was walking around, pretty normal. So, the fact that he’s been a little bit more active, the fact that, you know, Joe Mixon was there at the stadium and he’s been more active on Twitter, maybe we see him. But, you know, I feel like this is like Watergate trying to get any information from NRG right now. We we nothing. It’s just nothing. They won’t let anything out. They’re not saying anything about Joe Mixon. It I I saw somebody say, “Who’s Joe Mixon in our in my chat?” That’s what Nick Cacerio says. Anytime somebody asks about the Texans running back spot, he’s like, “Joe Joe Joe Mixon.” Oh. Oh, you mean you mean number 28? The the Oh, the running back from last Oh, that Joe Mixon. Oh, yeah. No, nothing to report. So, um I’m still trying to get as much information I can. I’m still trying to talk to people around NRG, but it’s crazy because even people with NRG, you know, there might be uh there might be somebody at NRG that’s kind of controlling the flow of information in and out. And I think we all know who that is. And he’s very serious about number 28 on the Texans and making sure that no information gets out. Um let’s see, next one coming in from Mr. Unlimited # Texans. Is it safe to say Woody is the RB1 now? I would say so. Um I I I think that this past week we saw Woody Marks get the line share of the of the carries up against the Jags and I think he’s proven that he is electric with the ball in his hands that the Texans can trust him to be a good running back in between the tackles. Now that doesn’t mean I want to totally phase out Nick Chub. I think he played really well and down the stretch against the Jags, too. on that last drive, the Texans game-winning touchdown drive, he had a couple key runs where he ran for, you know, 11, 12 yards in that final drive. He was really good as well. But if I’m talking like who I want to have the majority of the carries on this Texans squad right now, if they don’t add anybody else, definitely the rookie in Woody Marks. What do you say? Do you consider Woody Marks the Texans RB1 right now? Give me a yes. Give me a no down in the comment section. Let me know because as I mentioned, I’m typing my yes. I would consider Woody Marks the RB1 right now and almost like a Thunder Lightning duo with him and Nick Chub, but maybe I want to see uh a little bit more of the Lightning than the Thunder with uh Woody Marks over Nick Chub. So, good question. But yes, I do consider Woody Marks the RB1 as of right now. Next up, Bob loves meatballs. Bob #Texans, we saw some good flashes from CJ Strad before he got injured. I agree. in that Broncos game when you look at it, Texans were able to move the ball really well and I thought CJ was moving in the pocket um better than I’ve seen him move all season. Do you think he will be closer to his rookie year self when he comes back? Good question. Uh Mr. Loves meatballs. I I do. I think we’ll see a energized CJ Shroud. I think we’ll see one that is ready to, you know, get back in there and prove that he is the franchise QB that we all know that he can be. You know, as you mentioned before he exited that game up against Denver in week nine. I thought he was looking really good besides the red zone struggles where the Texans weren’t able to get in in the end zone. Really had nothing to do with Strad. They ran the ball up the middle three times in a row with uh you know Nick Chub and British Brooks. I thought Straoud was on point though in week nine up against the Denver defense that looked really good the rest of the game against Davis Mills and you know has looked good all season. They’re a top five defense just like the Houston Texans. And I thought CJ Shroud was looking very good. And I truly believe if Strad was in for that entire game in week nine up against Denver, the Texans would have caught a dub. Next up, Brendan Duza. Hashtag Texans. Who is the best rookie we have? Best rookie we have. There’s going to be a sneak answer right here. I think it’s Arante Ursery, the left tackle. He has played really well. Yes, he’s had his hiccups here and there. you can maybe point to that first Jags loss of the season that, you know, he let the rusher behind him and the ball ended up getting tipped out of Straoud’s hand and it was an interception. But overall, if you’re looking at the guy who stepped in and stepped up the biggest out of any rookie so far, it’s Ursery. He has been the day one starting left tackle for this Texans squad. And regardless of, you know, everything else that’s happened, I think he’s been one of the best offensive lineman that the Texans have had this season. So, I’d have to say Arante Ursery as the best rookie so far for your Houston Texans and the best daily fantasy sports app in the world. I’m using the new feature on prize picks called stacks. That means you can play one player, Cameron Ward. Cam Ward, the quarterback for the Tennessee Titans. I have two projections for him. I’m going less on his pass yards and more on his rush yards. I also have Jaden Higgins to get in the end zone a rushing or receiving touchdown. Now, I’m going the more on the Woody Marks rush yards. Oscar 713 hashtag Texans. Who has had the best peak? Nico Collins, Andre Johnson, or DeAndre Hopkins? This is a good question. This is a really good question. I would say the best peak. I know I’m going to get crucified for this, but I think it might be dehop. I think I think de hop uh I think the best peak I you know I might get crucified with it. It’s I’m splitting hairs, but I think the best singular season probably from Dehop, but if you’re looking at the best career, it is by far Andre Johnson. He is a Hall of Famer for a reason. He is one of the best wide receivers to ever suit up in the NFL. Not just for your Houston Texans, but across the entire National Football League. But if I’m saying one season, dude, DeHop was Dehop. He was insane. He was able like the one-handed catches that he was able to do the, you know, just the fact that he was so mobile. His catch radius was insane. He was awesome. And if you look at the quarterbacks, I know Andre Johnson, you know, he had a multitude of quarterbacks as well, but you look at the quarterbacks that DeHop was doing it with before Deshun Watson got in, it wasn’t a pretty list, right? It was, you know, like Brian Hoyer, Ryan Fitzpatrick, uh, Case Keenum, TJ Yates, Brandon Weeden started in a game, Tom Savage, like he was making all those guys look really good before he ended up teaming up with Deshun Watson for a couple seasons and then the Texans sold him for a pack of peanuts. But respectfully, I think the highest peak would be DeHop. the best career obviously easily Andre Johnson and I do think Nico Collins is a fantastic receiver but he’s not on the level of Andre Johnson or DeHop just yet. Good question though Oscar not Katie’s burner. Uh hashtag Texans not a question. Just want to say Kamari is so underrated man. Yep. He is in fact 100% underrated. I think what he’s been able to do on the opposite side of Derrick Stingley has been fantastic this season. He’s been a go-to guy for this Texans team whenever they need to lock somebody down. He’s played well and been a part of this Texans defense that is the number one defense in terms of points against this year. And you look at how he him and uh Derek Stingley played this past week. I believe they were targeted like six or seven times and only let up one catch. So really good week for both those guys up against Jacksonville. if you agree with me. If you think Kamari, if you agree with me and not KD’s burner, which we don’t know if that is KD or not, I don’t know. He said it wasn’t KD’s burner, so I’m going to believe him for now, but maybe it is KD. Um, if you agree with us, go down and spam those fours down below for our guy Kamari. Absolutely. I mean, every time he makes a play and just hits his helmet like that gets me fired the f up. I love Kamari Lasser and love the spark that he brings to this squad. If you agree with me, go down and type those fours. Uh Harrison Diggs hashtag Texans. Should the Texans trade tank Dell? This is a spicy question. Um it’s tough because you know I don’t know if we’ll see Tank Dell this season. Um I’m going to go with no for right now because when you think about our receiving room going into next year, you have Nico Collins, you’ll have Jaden Higgins, and then you’ll have Jaylen Null. I don’t think the Texans are going to bring back Christian Kirk. Um, then you have other guys who are kind of like back into the roster guys. You have Braxton Barios, you have Justin Watson. I would say no. You got to keep him up into next season. But next year is going to be a big season to see whether or not, you know, Tank Dell still has it, if he still has what’s, you know, a little bit left in the tank, if that injury took anything away from him. Obviously, as a Texans fan, I I mean, the one, you know, H-town alternate jersey that I got last year was number three. It was Tank Dell. So, I I’m a huge Tank Dell fan. I don’t want to see him go anywhere. So, I’m going to say no right now. But, next year is going to be a big big kind of mark to see whether or not Tank Dell is still an NFL level receiver or that injury maybe took him a couple notches down. Good question though, Harrison Digs. Next up, Drake May Pats lover hashtag Texans. What is the grit this team showed at the end of the Jaguars game tell you about their hunger for the playoffs? Oh, that is actually a good question. Um, I’ll say this, the fact that you were on the ropes, the fact that you had a backup quarterback in and all the injuries that you had to this squad, you were down 19 entering the fourth quarter and you found a way to win that game. Just shows you how hard these guys play for Dico Ryan. And that’s why when anybody calls for Demo Ryan’s job or say like, “Oh, well, you know, this that or the other. I don’t think Ryan is good enough to be the head coach.” I blasphemous. you you should throw take their opinion, ball it up, throw it in the trash because I have never seen a Texans team I have never seen individuals play harder for the Houston Texans than I’ve seen under head coach Diko Ryan. And you can’t tell me otherwise. Have you ever seen a group of players play with as much grit, determination that we saw this past weekend under any other head coach? And this isn’t me saying the other head coaches have been bad or the Texans have never had a good head coach in their career. I thought Garrett Kubak did a fine job as a Texans head coach. Um, but no other guy has gotten the most out of his players as the head coach for the Houston Texans other than Demo Ryan. And you saw it this past weekend up against the Jags and you see how hungry this team is. Even though they had a horrible start and you look at the start that they had, honestly, every loss that they’ve had has been a one-sore game. So, as much bad as this team has had this year, as as bleak as it’s looked, I still have hope for this squad because of what you said. This team plays with determination. They play with that grit. Next up, barbecue day BBQ. #Texans, do you think Kayle’s job is safe now? Oh, I you know, after the first three weeks, I definitely was like, I’m done. I am done with Kaylee. maybe a little premature first time play caller and perhaps he does you know turn like you know turn it around for the rest of the year and you know play well. I will say the play calling up against Jacksonville I thought he did a fantastic job. I thought Kaylee maybe one of his better play calling you know halfs of the season the second half up against Jacksonville. The you know the Texans didn’t really punt at all in that uh second half. May maybe once in the second half, but you know, overall with a backup quarterback with a lot of backups playing, I thought Kaylee did a really really, you know, standup job up against the Jags. If he continues that on, of course. Yeah, if the Texans Texans continue to play well, he will 100% have a job for the Houston Texans next season. Jay Scrib 44 hashtag Texans. Any news on Jimmy Ward? From what I’m told from some sources at NRG, he’s still a couple weeks away. Um, the Texans don’t want to rush anybody back from injury and that’s kind of their MO. We talked about it earlier with Joe Mixon. They’re not going to rush anybody back from injury. Um, that’s kind of the yin and yang of having a players coach in De Mo Ryan and a former player as your head coach is he knows about injuries and he knows about what it’s like to play through injuries. So, with Jimmy Ward, they’re not going to rush him back. They’re not going to play him until they feel like he is ready to go. And I’m being told that’s not going to be this week. It may not be against the Bills, but I’ll look for that next week up against the Indianapolis Colts. That should be a good target date if you’re looking at the return for Jimmy Ward on this defense. Uh, next up, Hugo Collins. Hashtag Texans. If you uh Oh, if you had to buy a Texans jersey right now, which jersey and what player? Personally, I’m thinking Stingley or Petri. Both good options. Uh, both good options. The next jersey I’m going to get, I’m probably going to get a Jaylen Petri jersey, but uh my favorite jersey that I own right now is Will Anderson Jr. And I made a proclamation at the beginning of this season that Waj would be the number one player on this Texans squad by years in. We would view Will Anderson Jr. as the best player on the Texans roster. And I think that’s coming to fruition. Each and every week I see 51, Area 51 going out there and playing like his hair is on fire. I love my Will Anderson jerseys. If I could, I’d probably get one of every single, you know, color jersey for Will Anderson Jr. That’s me personally. If you’re if you’re telling me what’s the safest jersey I can get, what’s one that I would always be able to rock, I’m going with Will Anderson Jr., you can’t go wrong with a CJ Shroud. I like the Jaylen Petri Derrick Stingley as well. Um, Joe Mixon jerseys are on sale right now on Fanatic, so use uh chatsports.comexton jerseys. Go check them out right now. Uh, the Joe Mixon one’s on sale. If you want a cheaper jersey, you can go check that one out. But personally right now, if you were asking me what jersey to get, I’d probably get a Will Anderson uh junior jersey. That’s all I have for you on today’s show, folks. You want to hit me up on uh Twitter, you can do so, Jeremy Chugs. And if you made it to the end of the video, make sure you hit that subscribe button for free Texans content all year long. And we’re out. And just like that, we’re out. Yeah, I’m I’m good. I just need a little bit of water. There we go. Um Melinda, she said, “I’m getting in on the deal.” Melinda, all good. The MVP of today’s show. And you know what, Melinda? Because you’ve been a legend today, I’m actually going to give you eight raffle tickets for that one. 1000. No way we should lode this game, nor should it been less than a 10 point game
No game can be a trap game for us. We are 4 and 6. We are the last team who should be overlooking anybody
My bed
S.A. Texan here!! Let's go boys!!!🤘
STROUD MUST PLAY
McAllen Tx
Sage had that famous helicopter play i liked him
Also tj Yates nicknamed Bengals killer. Remember the tom savage project lmao horrible brock sweater 72 million dollar man
You even said that brother..Texans Swarm Brother
Gram Mertz..,CJ,Mills
David Mills just needs a Offense line..Texans Swarm Brother's..
David was good at Stanford and he got picked by the Texans for a reason so everything happens for a reason..Texans Swarm Brother's..
That's it Matt shaub,CJ Stroud, Deshaun Watson,David Mills..give Gram Mertz his chance..Texans Swarm Brother's..
Jaylen Noel, Xavier Hutchinson, Damian Pierce, Trent Brown, Sidy Sow,
I agree with Brooks
Higgins will catch a TD but I feel Noel will run one back for a TD
Draft grade has to be an A. Higgins, Ersery, Noel and Woody are contributing a lot. 4 of the top 5 picks hit good.
You’re too good of a football guy and too good of a Texans supporter to even use trap game with any team in the NFL. It’s only a trap game when the players play a trap game every game in the NFL is the same. I don’t care if your opponent hasn’t won in five years they’re still an NFL team. You should not be using the term trap game for any game. It’s either a win or it’s a loss and any team can beat you in the NFL. That’s why there’s a term called any given Sunday stop Mr. Chubbs please
🤘😎🤘 LETS GO TEXANS
CJ is the starter hands down
I’ll grade the Texans rookie a B+ only because they don’t play them but when they do play they are very productive
Alfred Flores from Angleton TX
People have been out in CJ Stroud because he has been playing very bad and he can't win games.. I agree that CJ has more talent than Davis mills, but CJ hasn't been able to consistently produce good football all year. It doesn't matter how talented he is if he is incapable of using that talent to produce wins. I hope Stroud can get back to the player that we think he can be, but if he can't then you have to at least consider playing Mills as the starter.
B+
Would’ve gladly drafted this:
Tae ersaray and Tate ratledge In round 2.
Jaylin Noel and Jaylin smith/ a different safety in round 3
Draft another Db in round 5 instead of graham mertz
I'M Watching From The Trill Town PIMP C Port Arthur Texas
100 plus we will win period!!!!!!
