I am here in O San Antonio in between games. You know, it’s it’s this funny thing, man, when you travel so much. I was just about to say I’m here in OKC. Um, you know, sometimes like I’ll be in a hotel and like go to a room and I’ll be putting my key up to the door and it doesn’t quite work. And then I’ll go downstairs like, “Yo, my key not working.” And they’re like, “What room are you in? I’m I’m in 1014.” And they’re like, “No, what’s your name on the room?” And I tell the name and they’re like, “Oh, man. You’re in 706.” And I’m like, “Ah, that was from the that was from the last city.” But anyway, um that is why my setting is different. Again, for those that say, “Man, why is his setting always changing?” That is why. Uh but on today’s show, we will get into a few things. Um the dubs, obviously, we got to talk dubs and, you know, everything that’s been going on the last couple days. Uh we will go around the association. Uh Steph Curry, uh you know, and no more Under Armour. Uh Nico being fired after, you know, I went, you know, I I thought that was kind of the wrong move before it was happening, but you could kind of see it about to happen. Uh you could hear the chatter, you could see the different things that’s going on after 14 years in this league. You kind of see the writing on the wall. And so we’ll get into some of those things. Joker 55 point night, Steph Curry 46 point night. Um the Clipper struggles, talk other teams. But anyway, and a special one, we will talk Uncle Oak, Charles Oakley’s statement that I guess was made in the last couple days. I don’t know interview, but we will talk about that. But let’s get into it. since last couple days, ups and downs, things said in the media. A lot of attention on our team right now as it has been for the past 11 years. Uh but what changed between Tuesday and Wednesday. Uh and the reality is I think a few things changed. Everyone will point to the lineup change. What I would point to is the force that was played with. What I would point to is the locked in competitiveness on the defensive end. What I would point to is the way the ball was hopping offensively and different patterns that we were getting to offensively that we haven’t been getting to. Uh what I will point to was a different fight and one that you would expect out of a group like us going into Wednesday. And more importantly, uh just how we responded and how you should respond with your back against the wall. Quite frankly, I knew we would respond with our back against the walls. Um, we have always responded with our back when our backs are against the wall. You don’t become champions if you don’t respond when your back is against the wall. And so, there was no doubt in my mind that we would respond. And obviously, that was just one game. That’s not like everything, you know, but you got to get it back on the right track. And I think last night’s win was a step in that direction. Um, obviously there was a lineup change. uh JK and BP uh came off the bench and Will Richard and Moses Moody started and in large part, you know, that was due to Steve just saying he wanted more spacing. He wanted more movement on the offensive end um around Jimmy and Steph. And so, how do we go about doing that? And and that that was kind of what that was about. And you know I think you know test one it it was it was pretty good you know and you know there’s a lot that go into that obviously I think JK has been playing really well you know and so to go out of the starting lineup it kind of sucks but I think also people makes starting and coming off the bench sometimes more than what it really is. Um, when you look at JK, if you’re going to play similar minutes and you’re going to have an increased role in the offense, then you have to kind of decide like, ah, man, what puts me in the better position to succeed? And I know everybody’s, you know, everybody because, you know, everyone loves a good drama. Um, everybody’s saying, “Oh man, he’s being the scapegoat and this, that, and other.” There’s no scapegoat. We’re we’re 13 games in. Ironically, all the people that like start running around saying scapegoat are people that never won. And so you think like there’s a scapegoat needed, but like in game 12 when you know what it takes to win a championship. There’s no scapegoat in game 12. Also, when you’re not front runners and you’re champions, there’s no scapegoat anyway. decisions are just kind of made and you move on and you make the best decision that you think is going to put you in position to win. And so I I I find it very funny, you know, hearing a lot of people that never won and and you know, some losers say like, “Oh man, he’s being scapegoed.” like only bad teams and like um losers panic in game 12 of an 82 game season with 70 games left. Now, is there going to be a sense of urgency? Are are you going to address some things when you’re six and six? Of course, because you know, okay, six and six is a good enough sample size to where we need to do something different or in turn you’ll be 12 and 12. So you need to figure something out that you’re doing in order to improve to change the outcome of what’s been happening. And so I thought that was very interesting to hear people yelling the word scapegoat. Like there’s no need for a scapegoat. Like Steve Kerr is who Steve Kerr is. Like Steve Kerr’s job security is exactly what it the word says, security. It’s secure. So, like you don’t have to like scapegoat people when you’re in the position that we’re in. Like that’s not how this thing goes. Which is why I found it very interesting people saying, “Oh man, Draymond is blaming the young guys.” When in my statement that I made where they said I was blaming the young guys, I said we we need to do this. We And so to say that I was blaming the young guys is essentially just what you all would be doing because Draymond is actually someone who’s who doesn’t go on the media and blame anyone. Anyone. I actually go and blame myself. If you watched my press conference in Denver the the the couple nights before Yeah. I said I am failing this defense. I the defense is struggling so I have failed us. That’s what I said. So to think I’m as wishy-washy as y’all and then a an interview later would be like it’s them. I don’t move like that. I point the finger this way always. You go watch any of my interviews over time. I’ll say, “Man, I did this wrong. I did that wrong. I [ __ ] up here. I [ __ ] up there. I don’t say it was that guy’s fault, it was his fault. I say me. You know why? Because I know how to lead and I know how to win. So I point it back this way. So for all of you guys who’s like creating stories because you need something to talk about to stay relevant. Um yeah, that’s what the Draymond Green show is for. You don’t have to ever try to interpret what you think Draymond is saying. Draymond say what the [ __ ] he wants to say when he wants to say it. That has not changed. That’s why y’all hate me. That’s why you can’t wrap your mind around how I became who I became, which we’ll also talk a little more about later. But yeah, so I find that very interesting. I found that um the great coach Steve Kerr challenged Brandon Pazimki and he came out and played his best game of the year last night. That’s what I saw. I saw that Kamingo was already struggling with knee tendonitis before the game and Rick Cabbrrini was watching him warm up to see if he was going to play last night and he ended up not playing because he wasn’t really feeling it. But of course, people are going to create drama and say, Kaminga didn’t come out after halftime because he was mad he didn’t play. But unfortunately, guys, I lived this thing. So, I know a few more things that y’all don’t know. And I know JK was questionable because his knees were sore before OKC. Voila. Oh my god. It’s not what y’all thought it was. Unbelievable. Look at that. How about this? JK’s been one of the most bought in guys on the team all year. How about that? Oh my god. He’s not the [ __ ] [ __ ] and baby that y’all try to make him out to be and think he’s always complaining. How about that? You speak on accepting a role. JK has made it very clear he wants to be an all-star. He think he has allstar potential and he wants to fulfill that. He’s made that very clear 1,000%. We all know that. So when you feel like things aren’t quite going your way to align with that, you’re going to be upset as a competitor. Of course, kid works his ass off, of course you’re going to feel some type of way. Who would want someone that doesn’t feel any type of way? Great. I’ll show you a loser right to your face. So, I found that very interesting. Um, you all just kind of try to take whatever you want and spin it. And, um, I’m here to tell you that you you never have to do that with my words. You never will be able to do that with my words. they will always come very clear for me. So there you have that. And moving on, um Steph Curry 46 points. Uh you know, he kept saying uh Tuesday, and this is no excuse. He kept saying Tuesday, man, my lungs is burning. I can’t feel my lungs. U you know, and so I think that first game back, like he was just kind of in a days and just trying to figure it out, trying to get back in the flow, get back in the rhythm. But first half of last night trying to get back in the flow, trying to find the rhythm and then boom, the third quarter came and he found that rhythm and he did what Steph Curry does. He was absolutely incredible. He’s shooting multiple bank shots, crazy threes, getting to the hole, fouled the whole thing. Fouled on threes, fouled at the He did the whole thing. He was absolutely amazing and it was beautiful to see. But that’s what champions do when their backs are against the wall. Jimmy Butler showed up in a major way. Gary Payeyton was huge off the bench. Brandon Pazuchi was huge off the bench. Al Horford big threes. Moses Moody big shots in the first half. Like really big shots. Garden. Everybody who came in played a role. an important role and it was a complete team effort. Now you have to go build on that. Now you have to go build. I saw Steph Curry one more game one game behind Michael Jordan for the most uh 40point games after turning 30. George is at 44. He’s at 43. I expect that to be broken by the the end of the month. How about that? Let’s break that by the end of the month. Three. Oh, there you go. Uh, no, but I mean to see those lists, man, you’re talking Mike, you’re talking Kobe, you’re talking obviously Steph. Um, James Harden’s on that list. Uh, there’s some more guys I’m missing, but what an incredible list. And Steph just continues to show. I told him last night when he walked off the court, I said, “Man, vintage Steph or the same, whatever the hell you want to say. It’s all the same. Vintage and now it’s the same.” But man, just to continue to have the opportunity to play alongside someone that great. Uh see night in and night out up close someone that great. See day in and day out the work ethic of someone that great. Um it’s always an honor. It’s always an honor. And also just getting into Tuesday OKC. What impressed me most about OKC is and why I was speaking about guys knowing their roles because I was actually paying homage to champions which is why the question was then asked to me about our roles and then a question was asked to me about agendas. So come on now I’mma fill y’all in on this thing now. So, I was paying homage to the champs and how everybody played a role and how that reminded me of what we were when we were champions. Ah, what we were when we were the champs at that time. We’re still champions, but we were the defending champs. I was pointing to that. And I was pointing to that because I was pointing to those champions over there. So make no mistake about it, since my words were taken and tried to be twisted, what I was doing was just paying homage to some champs because champs always have my respect. And so in playing against OKC, uh what I found was very interesting was I said, “Man, these dudes are a welloiled machine.” Like you just watch them. They are a welloiled machine. And now they got the confidence of like we champs, we know what it is. And I’m telling you that is one of the most dangerous things. When you become a champion and you get that confidence, oh, we’ve been through it. We know what the end of the road looks like and we know what the road travel looks like. So, let’s travel it again. That’s the most dangerous thing when you become a champion. And you got the team to uphold that. and they got the team to uphold it. So, I was telling AV, I said, “AV, walk to the back with me.” It’s in the third quarter, end of the third. I said, “Man, AV, it’s interesting.” He’s like, “What?” I said, “Um, it’s interesting to see, you know, to to once be that team that just [ __ ] whooped everybody. It’s interesting to watch it happening.” It’s like, that’s interesting. And what I was what I was getting at is no, not that I don’t think we can’t become the team this year to compete with them. I do think so. I don’t think we can compete with them right now today as a show. Until we show that you can, right? So, there’s that. However, I also know that winning a championship is a month by month by month by month by month by month in total about an eight to nine monthlong process. And we will go through that process. And we’ve been through that process before where within the process it didn’t quite look like we were going to win it. 2022 we won a championship. We lost seven straight games that year. Seven in a row. That year. So when people say scapegoat, point fingers. I’ve been through too much to do that. I don’t have to do that. I’ve been through way too much. And if I point the finger in me and say, “Man, I sucked.” Guess what? It’s going to happen after I say that. I’mma still be me. So that team, man, Shay is incredible. Chad’s incredible. AJ Mitchell has grown so much. Caruso plays his role to the tea. Isaiah Joe shoots that thing. Kasem Wallace don’t even care about the offense, man. He is just honking your best player. Right. And then he’ll get his offense where he can when it happens. Spot three. Hawking your best player. And I mean hawking them hard thing. Rebound, rebound, rebound, set screens, flow game, dirty work, trap ball screens, get back. OJ Dub, Jaylen Williams off the bench knocking the three down. Hard playing positional defense. a welloiled machine. That was with no Lou Dort. That was with no Aaron Wiggins. That was with no Jay Dub. That was with no Kendrick Williams. That team is a welloiled machine. And lastly, uh before we move around the association, I think for me playing against Wimby this year is completely different um than it was a year ago. He is special. Um, his handle has gotten better, his shot has gotten better, his feel and passing the ball has gotten better. He understands it all better. He’s gotten better defensively, which was already really good defensively. Um, the whole nine yards. Like I said earlier in the season, he don’t look like he want it later. He look like he want it now. I know people say, “Man, he’s 75. His droo, how you can take it?” Let me tell you something. You ain’t taking that dribble. You going to reach and think you taking that dribble if you want to. Nah, it ain’t that easy. He got that thing on the straight. So, um, his improvement has been incredible. But make no mistake about it, Stefon Castle is also special. I said this before, I’m a big fan of his. Uh, lot of game and he ain’t even figured it out yet, but he’s a winner. He plays winning basketball. He plays both ends of the floor. He knows how to use his size. Um, that kid is going to be special. So, um, this Spurs team, Harrison Barnes, shooting the lights out of it, shooting over 50% from three. Uh, you know, they got a team and a young team, but everybody play their roles as well, you know. So, I think that team is going to be good. Uh, they’ll continue to get better and better. They’re figuring more and more things out, but man, couple special young guys they got and they will be able to grow with those guys for the next 15 years and it’s going to be special to watch and I won’t be here for all of them. So to you guys that will good luck. After the break, I have a little more to say on the Nico Fire and I’ll get into the struggling Clippers and I need to respond to what my uncle Oak Charles Oakley had to say about me right back after this. As promised, we are going to take it around the association. First stop is Steph Curry is no longer with Under Arour. Uh Steph is moving on. Uh that could be to another shoe brand. That could be to him independently building the Curry brand, however he so chooses to with whatever partners he may so choose. Um I think to be in the position he’s in right now, like this may be the biggest opportunity of his life. Like we all know how great Steph Curry is. We all know the love that Steph Curry has and the Curry brand already has a presence. So where he takes the Curry brand next. Um it’s not like their starter from ground zero. Steph Curry is Steph Curry. And so I think that’s interesting. Um I think that’s exciting. Uh you know when you look at the the Under Armour deal, I think it’s been great for him over the last 13 years. I think he has had some challenges over the years. Uh be that the company isn’t a welloiled machine like Nike or even Adidas for that matter. Um, I think he’s had his challenges over the years, you know, but he being who he is, um, and loyal as he is and dedicated to the things that he’s dedicated to, stuck through it, worked through them, even at times when I think he could have decided to do that way much earlier, you know, but he made a commitment some 13 years ago and he saw it through. And so I commend him on that. Uh, job well done. uh built an incredible brand, an incredible line, had people wearing Under Armours like they were cool. No one was wearing Under Armour basketball. You only saw Under Armour on the football court uh football field. And then Steph Curry went to Under Armour and all of a sudden Under Armour basketball shoes became cool because they had the Steph Curry logo on them. So I will be very interested um to see what happens next. I think it only it for me at least someone who kind of understands a little bit of the shoe business. It it makes you take a step back and wonder what would his business be today had he gone to Nike or stayed with Nike, right? Like if Steph Curry stayed with Nike and became the Steph Curry that he was going to become regardless of what shoe brand he was in and he was building Curry brand under Nike, Allah Jordan, Allah LeBron James, Allah Kevin Durant, guys who have built brands with Nike. What if Steph was building that brand at Nike? You can only wonder how huge that would have been. I mean, I’ll go out on a limb and say if he was building that Nike, it may be his biggest Jordan brand, which is interesting. I mean, that’s that’s saying a lot. No disrespect to MJ the goat. MJ, you know, when it comes to the shoe business, has done it better than anyone ever have and probably better than anyone ever will. I I really wonder if Steph was still with Nike. Would it have become that? Because he became that and Nike know what to do with that. It’s not like they need to rewrite the will or like, you know, Under Armour was trying to rewrite the will, you know, they were trying to create this thing that they had never created before. Nike’s actually created that before. And so, it’s almost like plug and play. And then Steph’s smart as hell, right? Like he got his own ideas and he has his own twist and all these other things. But man, if he was still with Nike, what would that have been? Think about that. Um, and moving on, uh, Nico Harrison fired by the Dallas Mavericks. Um, kind of saw this coming, which is why I know you all on Tuesday morning was probably like, why in the hell does Draymond recording at 6:00 in the morning when this news came out? And the reality is I actually had did that the day before. Um because I mean being around this business you can kind of see the writing on the wall. The fans were never going to move on unless they were 12 and0. The fans just weren’t going to move on. Um and so you can kind of see the writing on the wall and now you want to talk scapegoat. Now we can talk about that. Now yes, Nico did make the Luca trade and all those things. As I said before, I still don’t think he got a chance to see his vision through. What his vision actually was. I don’t think he got a chance to see it through. Not saying that’s right, that’s wrong. It would have worked. It would have He didn’t get a chance to see it through when he sat out, made the decision he made. He didn’t get an opportunity to see that through. Um, and so, you know, I thought that’s a tough position to be in. You know, you hear a lot on Willie Green. Willie Green has never, as I said before, Willie Green has never coached a Pelican team he thought he was going to coach. That’s sometimes how the cookie crumbles. That’s just sometime how it crumbles. And so, um, you know, I’m looking forward to seeing what what Nico’s next move is. I think, you know, Nico is is very smart. Um, very well respected in the business world. Although a bunch of fans has tried to act like he’s a complete idiot. He’s not. Uh, a large part of Nike basketball over the last 20 or 25 years. Nico has been behind a lot of things when it comes to Nike basketball, you know, and most importantly, um, Nico’s daughter, Nia Harrison, just committed to USC for track. So congratulations black man on being an incredible father on raising an incredible young girl that goes to USC the school the track and field that Allison Felix built and is going on a full scholarship. That’s incredible. That’s the stuff that matters. So congratulations to Nico Harrison on that. I know you all hate to hear him being told congratulations on something, but that is what it is. And moving forward uh to Jo uh Joker’s 55 point night. Uh the strategy was to let him score and take away assist. And you know that strategy works maybe sometimes. I know a few years ago there used to be like some stat. I’m not sure what that stat is today, but a few years ago, the stat used to be if you held him under six assists, their winning percentage was like way low. And so the goal would be like to hold him under six assists and like if he go score 40, he go score 40. 55 is a little different than 40, number one, double nickel. But I think you also got to have the defenders that can make it tough. And I didn’t watch the game, so I’m not saying the defenders didn’t make it tough. Uh, but do I love that theory? Um, I don’t love the theory of letting anyone get 55 points, but I will tell you, we’ve used that theory before on some guys when when we used to play the Rockets team. We would say, “Yo, let James Harden go for 40 or go for 50.” And we just stop everybody else. We win the game. And so I’ve understood that strategy before. I’m not quite sure if it really works on Joker. Yeah, they took the assists away, but he went for 55 and they got the dub and and and you know, Jamal had 15 like Aaron Aaron Gordon maybe somewhere was around that. And so you still had other guys still doing a little bit of what they needed to do while y’all just was letting him go ISO. And so I don’t know that I love it though. Um just letting the best player dice your defense up. I understand it, but I just don’t know that I love it. Um and moving forward, uh on that note, the team that he had 55 points on was the Clippers who’s struggling a bit. Kawawaii’s been out now for I think four straight games if I’m not mistaken. Um and they are struggling. Number one, I think the struggle is a little deeper because they don’t have Norman Pow. However, for all you idiots out there that says, “Oh man, they traded Bradley Bill for Norman Pow for Bradley Bill.” That’s not how this thing works. Norman Pow makes about 20 something million dollars a year. They signed Bradley Bill on maybe five million, possibly eight, max eight, but I think five. I don’t really care cuz tomato tomato $5 million and $8 million is a lot of money. Big difference. I’m not saying $3 million is a lot of money, but in the grand scheme of an NBA contract, it’s not. And so whether it’s five, whether it’s eight, they’re in the same boat. And so they didn’t sign Bradley Bill like they didn’t trade Norman Pal for Bradley Bill. Number one, they traded Norman Pal. Norman Pow was in a trade for John Collins. Kevin Love went to Utah. Um Kyle Anderson went to Utah. Uh John Collins went to Utah. I mean, excuse me, John Collins went to the Clippers. Norman Pal went to Miami. Oh, Bradley Bill got bought out and then they signed Bradley Bill. But for all you idiots trying to [ __ ] on Brad Bill as if, oh man, look, Norman Pal is playing so much better and they traded him for you, that’s not the case. That’s a lie. The real reason they trade Norman Pal is probably because all these people are trying to stay away from second apron as we have spoke about before. for good people. Everyone’s trying to stay away from this hard cap that our NBA PA allowed um and a sports business that’s growing and saw a team sell for $10 billion. Yeah, that’s what everybody’s trying to get away from. So Norman Pal is about to be up for a contract. And I don’t think they wanted to give Norman Pal the contract that they were going they knew they were going to have to give Norman Pow because yes, for the last couple years including this year, Norman Powell is playing at an all-star level and will probably be an all-star this year. So for everybody trying to use Norm’s play, just give Norm his love. Norman has been getting better and better and better and better since he came into this league. Can we just give Norman Pow the love that he deserves and not try to tear Bradley Bill down and oh man you [ __ ] and you this because he’s not playing right now at the level that Norman Pow’s playing, but he’s also not making the money that Norman Pow’s making. So when you all try to like mix these things in and try to make um 1 plus 1 equals 6, that [ __ ] don’t add up. So, miss me with that. Miss me with that. And all the, “Oh, man, Brad Bill ain’t earn deserve his contract.” No. Yes, he did. He earned that contract. That’s why he got it. Unfortunately for everybody that paid him, it didn’t pan out the way you thought it would when he signed the contract. That’s the business. When Steph Curry was making four years, $44 million and and winning MVPs, nobody was saying, “Oh man, them owner should rip that contract up and give him the money he deserved.” No, he had to wait. So sometimes the business work for you, sometimes the business work against you. Whether you’re a player, whether you’re owner, front office, GM, sometimes it works for you, sometimes it works against you. It works for Bradley Bill. Guess what? But Bradley Bill worked his whole life to make it work for him. So stop the nonsense and speedy recover to Brad Bill. Hey Draymond here. And lastly, moving around the association is my response to Uncle Oak. Uh, Uncle Oak is my guy, so there will be no slander here. I got the utmost respect. Uncle Oak did it to the highest level at at at what he was in this league. And I respect that. And so what I’ll say is this. Um, you know, I I respect everything Uncle Oak said. and his opinion is his opinion. I disagree uh with some of it as in like, oh man, Draymond’s style wouldn’t fit in in the NBA in the ‘9s. Um, and I disagree with that because my style and who Draymond Green is, I created my style actually. Um, I’m a basketball player. So, I know how to adjust to different situations. And when I came in this league, I was not who I am today. I created this guy who I am today. Uh when I came in this league, I scored the basketball. That’s kind of who I was and how I got here. I also rebounded the basketball and passed the basketball. It’s kind of who I was and how I got here. Oh, and more most importantly, I was a winner before I got here and after I got here. And so I became who I became while not quite being myself. Which is why I love me and I’m so proud of me because I feel like if you task someone with becoming someone totally different to who they ever were, they may become serviceable NBA players, but they usually don’t become Hall of Fame potential Hall of Famers. And so that’s why I’m so proud of me because regardless of how I had to do it, I would have made it happen. But by no means don’t make the mistake. I I was never this player. I just happened to make this player great. So um I disagree with not being able to play in the 90s. Uh you know, the skill level wasn’t as high as it is today. Um they did not run up and down the court like we do today. The game was way slower. Yeah, guys were bigger, but And you can say guys are soft today. I’m sorry to tell you, but Nola Joic ain’t soft. Um, I’m sorry to tell you, Wimy’s a a little skinny, but he ain’t soft. So, you know, like the game ain’t bruising and like it used to be, but quite honestly, we’re not allowed to do that. We’re not allowed to play the game as physical as they played it. Also, no one wanted to see that [ __ ] So, the game kind of changed to increase the ratings of more basketball that people want to see. No one wanted to see that [ __ ] You know, I respect and love all the OGs, but it’s different. The game is played totally different today. I hate to say it and I know one no one really likes to admit it, but I actually played a part in that of how it’s played today. You know, if I must pop my [ __ ] a little bit. Again, I got the utmost respect for Uncle Oak. There would be no slander here. As far as trash talking and getting hit in the mouth, um, I can agree with that. I probably would have gotten hit in the mouth because quite honestly, I’m going I’m from Sageno, Michigan. I’ve been hit in my mouth before in the nose and everything. I used to fight J all the time. J is like family to me. By the way, we used to fight all the time and no matter if I won or lost the fight, J for some reason, he would bust my nose every time we fought. And you know when you bleed and you lost like even if you won, you lost. Jamal Jackson would get my He would bust my nose every time we Needless to say, Uncle, I’ve been punched in the mouth before. I’ve been punched in the nose before. So talking the way I talk, a punch in the mouth ain’t going to stop me from talking. But the story also just doesn’t end like, “Oh man, Draymond got punched in the mouth. Boom, story.” The story don’t end that way. You’re going to have to punch me in the mouth every time you see me. Because if you punch me in the mouth, I’mma fight you every time I see you. Whether I get my ass whooped or win, I’m going to fight you every time I see you. And then when I win, if I don’t win one, two, three, four, five, I’mma fight you on six. If I win five, if you want to fight on six, we gonna fight on six again. But the story just don’t end. Oh man, he got punched in the mouth. That’s it. I’m sorry. It just don’t end that way because I know what it’s like to be hit in the mouth. That ain’t stopping me. That ain’t gonna stop me talking and being who I am because in Sagen all like you must talk and play. So getting hit in the mouth isn’t like something that I’m afraid of. But just know that’s not how the story end. So when you say, “Oh, he couldn’t play in the 90s or he couldn’t do that. He would have got hit in the mouth.” Uh yeah, maybe. Not doubting that. I’m not going to sit here and say, “Yeah, he wouldn’t hit me in the mouth.” I probably would have got hit in the mouth. But the story just don’t end there. So, all love to Uncle Oak. That’s my guy. Uncle Oak, I still need some food. Uh for y’all that don’t know, Uncle Oak is a world now renowned chef. I need some food, Uncle Oak. But the love don’t change. I respect his feelings. And when you’ve done it at the highest level, you can speak on it at the highest level. So, I respect that to the utmost. On this episode, we have another segment of Golden Days. For those of you who don’t know, you can write in your favorite Warriors moment to Draymond Green at odyssey.com and they may be featured on the show. Today, we got one from Gabe K. One of my favorite moments is the last regular season game at Oracle when y’all came out in the throwback we believe jerseys. Such an awesome moment and would like to hear your thoughts on it. them jerseys were fire. Uh the last game at Oracle, man, that was bittersweet. Um I still got pictures of me, my daughter, my wife, like on the baseline. But you know, moving to San Francisco, obviously everybody excited, new arena, all those things. But man, it was leaving Oakland. I love Oakland. You know, wearing those we believe jerseys, they was fire. And you know that was at that you know before us like the we believe team was kind of one of the biggest moments of current Warriors history. And so to put those jerseys on you know to pay homage to Jay Rich, you know BD, Matt Barnes, Stack Jag. It was love, you know. It was love because we’re not some guys that sit around and be like, “Oh man, but they ain’t so we ain’t showing them. No, we we we show that love.” And they asked us before like, “What do y’all think about wearing the we believe jerseys?” Yeah, we love that. That’s fire. Steph also actually played in those jerseys as well. But yeah, so that was a fire moment, man. But also, like I said, bittersweet cuz just, you know, spending my first seven years of my career in Oakland was special. Oakland would always have a special um moment in my uh excuse me, a special place in my heart. Uh Oracle was loud as hell. still remember teams calling Lee saying, “Man, they’re amplifying noise in there.” Nah, these fans just loud, brother. That’s just what it is. So, appreciate all the good times at Oracle. Um, and and closing it out like that was was amazing. Um, Gabe also said, “I’m a Michigan native, Spartan fan, and a big fan of you in the show. appreciate all you’re doing and excited to watch the run towards championship number five this year. I appreciate that. Uh, as a Michigan fellow, Michigan native myself is all love, Gabe. As a Spartan dog, a Spartan fan, an alum, I appreciate you. Go green. And also, how much [ __ ] is it that we got to vacate 14 wins, but Michigan can cheat and still signs and they don’t even like they don’t give up the national championship or nothing? Like, where do these decisions come from? Unbelievable. You can do things that directly impact winning and get caught and keep everything that you got while cheating. But we lose 14 wins. Anyway, I’m sorry, Gabe. All love. Shout out to you, Gabe. But that’s some [ __ ] Make sure you all send in your favorite Warrior moments to Draymond Green at odyssey.com. So, your moments can appear right here on Golden Days on the Draymond Green Show. I want to thank you all again for tuning in to the Draymond Green show. We got a Spurs again tomorrow. I got to go chase Big Wimby around. and they running me off flares. I felt like I was chasing Steph Curry around at times during that game. Uh, nonetheless, special special game to play in, special guys to play against. Looking forward to seeing you guys next week. Until then, deuces. Our executive producers are Leah Reese Dennis, Danny Fryinger, and Greg Holtzman.

  1. Decent of you to protect your teammate probably half of the criticism he gets from fans is to combat the delusional critics of Kerr not developing him into an all star

  2. Not a Scapegoat at all! He just doesn’t mesh with the System the Great Steve runs. So, I hope he is able to address that when JK is coming off the bench as he has huge potential and only a Coach is going to believe in him enough to unlock it. Otherwise he’s going to lose his confidence and become a what could’ve been.

  3. Always good to hear you. Great episode. Hope to see you at a State game of one of these days! Last game I was at against San Jose, the student section had a huge cutout of you lol. Now that’s impactful. Go Green!

  4. Steve Kerr's job should NOT be secure. He has had 4+ seasons to rework the system to maximize JK. He is the reason the Dibs couldn't trade JK. His rotations have been horrible.

  5. Dray thank you for shutting down that crap said by Rashaad McCants and Brandon Jennings (two ex players who never won anything) you would think a guy that went to UNC could listen better and respond! 😂😂😂😂

  6. Charles Oakley is a tough guy but he didn’t grow up in an environment like Saginaw, Michigan……if you never been there then you don’t know, that’s all I got to say…….i know Cleveland is tough but you can hide in Cleveland, you can’t hide in Saginaw, if you don’t know what I mean, then this conversation is not for you!

  7. The kuminga stuff was 100% right these media dorks think it’s about them and the casual fans who are basically like gossiping teen girls who lie about eachother they know nothing about kumunga but the kawakami slater type media dorks will lie about black men for clicks and make them sound selfish and bad teammates. They did same thing to Durant and it’s all made up.
The media dorks are role playing as “insiders” and “experts”
Kawakami thinks he is friends with Steve Kerr😂and he actually thinks Steve Kerr respects his basketball knowledge😂

  8. DRAY, I KNOW YOU SEE THESE COMMENTS. LISTEN, IM THE IQ GOD AND I RESPECT YOURS. WHETHER ITS GOOD OR BAD IN THE LOCKER ROOM, I WOULD TRADE KUMINGA AND SUM OTHER LITTLE SHIT FOR ZUBAC. WE ALL KNOW THE CLIPPERS FINNA BLOW IT UP AND KUMINGA IS A L.A. PLAYER.
