If we keep him at guard it’s a win, we try him at tackle instant L.

I got a lot of heat for this take on Trevor Penning when we traded for him!!

  1. The minute the Saints got anything for him, they won the trade. He was going to get benched at guard and he was never going back to tackle.

  2. Watching Penning in the Jacksonville game hurt my soul. I felt like Herbert was getting a feel for how the line worked as a unit and what their shortcomings were and how to work with it. The way Penning was getting pushed straight back into Herbert he had no way to make any decision to escape the pocket inside or outside.

  3. Crazy to think that a guy in the nfl can’t get a kickback technique for T correct. I learned that shit in high school. It’s like the absolute basic starting point for being a T.

  4. Its incredible this was pretty known throughout the NFL that Penning cant be left on an island… and what does our incredible coaching staff do on the first chance they get? Leave him on an island…. over and over and over and over.

And of course, this sub will hate on Penning instead of looking at the coaching staff that put him in a position to fail.

  5. I know Penning might be the latest whipping boy in this sub but hot damn was that defense bad. Players watching players gain yards bad. Only thing i was confused with on offense was how wildly different the scheme seemed from the previous week. Ionno. Penning seemed the least of our worries sunday.

  6. i feel like watching penning would’ve been like them starting james over bozeman. i’m sure the coaching staff won’t make that mistake again if starting someone they aren’t 1000% sure about
