I hate it here. Not OC.

  1. I like how when both these decisions were made, they had pushback by the fanbase because of what *could* go wrong, but they/we still tried to be optimistic, just for the things that *could* go wrong went wrong.

Hell it doesn’t even stop there.

“Oh we hired Raheem? Hopefully it goes well!”

“We should probably go DL…but Pitts has generational potential!”

  2. The meme is right and it’s because we signed a possibly washed vet QB with a torn achilles and drafted a QB with 4 season ending injuries including both ACLs.

  3. Most of teams have some sort of qb hell. Vegas, NYJ, CLE, CIN, ARZ, DC, TENN, Maybe MIA PITT MINN CAR (when not facing ATL), and those just outta Hell Den Pats NYG TEX COLTS SEA TB Bears

  4. We should have taken Mac Jones in ‘21 to sit and learn behind Matt. But that’s something a good organization does and this isn’t a good organization.

  5. Qb hell can be fixed real quick with a competent coach and offensive weapons. Look at how Darnold, Daniel Jones, Mac Jones and I guess you can throw Baker in there (I think is more the weapons and his talent)…..we fell into the Falcons misinformation trap that Mooney was a #2 rec (great year last year but he is small and fragile and now mix in alligator arms) and that somehow this was finally the year for Pitts. Outside of them we have a bunch of 7th rounders and UDFA at ball catching positions. Mix that with horrible coaching and there is nowhere to go.

  6. The FO who wanted Deshaun Watson but lost only because the Browns exist is *bad* at getting QBs?

  7. Hitting on a QB is not easy, and it’s exactly why the above things were done.

Kirk could have returned to his pre-injury self and been a solid top 12ish QB. He just didn’t.

Penix had 1st round capability – but those guys only hit 25% of the time. 3 of 4 1st round QBs end up being bums. I think the jury is still out on his ability, but his age and injury history were definitely concerns.

I’m generally fine with taking a top 10 (draft overall) QB if you don’t have a sure-fire top ~7ish QB on your squad. Things not working out doesn’t mean the process didn’t have merit.

We were spoiled with Vick->Ryan eras. It can be decades before you find another QB.

  8. Even “a broken clock is right twice a day” doesn’t apply to this organization. It’s beyond the pale.
