The Bo Nix Slander Has Gotten OUT OF CONTROL!
[Music] You know, at first it was kind of funny, kind of like a cute practical joke that somebody continues to do over and over again. And now it just kind of borderlines on annoying and the bow nick slander has gotten so out of hand. So I am here to squash it once and for all. Welcome in Broncos country to the Broncos breakdown by chat sports. My name is Moose and on today’s episode I’m going to tell you why not only Bo Nicks’s stock is rising, but that anybody that believes Bo Nicks is still a bad quarterback is full of you know what. And the reason I bring this up is not because of what Nick Wright went on first Things First and said yesterday because while he did give the Denver Broncos credit, he still took some kind of subtle jabs at Bonick. This is the most recent article written by Jeff How at The Athletic. And The Athletic is a really, really cool website where you can find a lot of different deep dives on your favorite players, favorite teams in the NFL. They do a really good job of making sure that they get reliable and kind of creative content out to NFL football fans. And I’m going to tell you why, you know, Bo Knicks is being considered now the biggest conundrum. Before I do that though, got to tell you uh that if you want timely updates on the Denver Broncos, like literally every single time that we post, first of all, you got to be subscribed to the channel. But do me a favor, click that bell notification and select the all option. Once that happens, you’re never going to miss a time that we post a video, we go live, or anything related to the Denver Broncos. So, let’s go into this article and take a big old screenshot from it. All right, this is kind of basically what Jeff How had to say about Bow Knicks. One struggle has been consistency according to coaches and execs who have studied Bow Knicks this year. But that’s true of nearly all second-year quarterbacks. Oh, couldn’t say better myself. The Broncos have gotten into trouble when defenses have forced them into methodically working the ball down the field, taking away the bigger plays where Nicks has been known to thrive. On the one hand, Payton should be thrilled that he’s been able to test his quarterback in a variety of situations while they’ve raced out to the AFC’s number one seed. But if Nicks improves his pocket presence and the Broncos can add players who can gain yards after the catch, he could really take off in future seasons. On the other hand, the scheme fit still looks a little funky. The dramatic ups and downs on offense and doom uh could doom the Broncos in postseason. And if there’s something to the square peg round hole theory with Knicks and the scheme, it’s fair to wonder if there’s a cap on the offense’s potential. That is the conundrum. No, it’s really not a mystery. It’s not a conundrum. I can basically sum up for you what Bo Knicks is in year two. He’s the ultimate momentum quarterback. Just like Jeff House said in his article, every single secondyear quarterback seems to struggle with the ups and downs. Bo Nicks is no different. The only one that’s not struggling in year two is Drake May. And I think we can all agree that based off of the competition that he’s played, maybe there’s a little bit of a question of have they played any really great teams yet. But let’s focus on Bon Knicks. This is not a Drake May compared to Bon Knicks or Bon Knicks compared to the field. Bose’s stats are good. They’re not great. They’re fine. And yes, I agree. Bo Nicks is playing with a lot of ups and downs. The roller coaster of emotions that we go through every single week watching the Denver pro the Denver Broncos play football can be kind of infuriating. But you know what? The Broncos are nine and two and Bo Knicks has one key factor. He’s clutch. He always delivers. So, I can live with the other stuff. Here’s another interesting statistic to throw your way. Bo leads the league in passing attempts this football season. And he’s going to make the playoffs. Why is that important? Well, there’s only two other guys that have done that in all of the NFL’s great history. Tom Brady and Pton Manning. Brady did it with the Patriots. Pton did it with the Broncos. So, I think I look at this and I say, if I’m in the same conversation of throwing the ball as much as these guys did, and I’m still going to make the playoffs, the product can’t be that bad. Oh, and by the way, back to the clutch factor. There is not a single player since 1950 that has had eight fourth quarter comebacks in his first two seasons. So, in their great tenure history since 1950, in a quarterback’s first two seasons, Bonix has the most fourth quarter comebacks. You can’t teach that. It’s not something that you can put into the hands or something that you can scheme open if you’re a Shawn Payeyton. You either have that gene or you don’t. And I know that there’s been a lot of people, including myself, so I’ll be the first one to wear this badge. Bo Nicks’s mechanics, his footwork in the pocket has been a little bit sloppy this year, which has led him to not being that great against the Blitz until he played the Kansas City Chiefs. They were very, very aggressive in their blitzing of Bo Knicks, 24.4%. Which is, believe it or not, the third lowest for them this season. They were going to try and make Bicks throw the football a lot. They gave calculated calculated blitzes against Bo Knicks to try to confuse him. And how did he do? 24.4% blitz rate. Bo was six of eight against the blitz for 113 yards. So, a lot of good your calculated blitz, did you, KC? Bo Nicks thrived against zone coverage. He thrived on third down. He thrived in the fourth and he thrived against the blitz. Bo Nicks when he needs to show up, whether that be a game or in a quarter, on a drive or on a play, has the it factor. And that’s the only thing that you should be concerned about right now is that if they’re keeping it close, which they always do because of how good this defense is, you can pretty much bet your ass that Bone Knicks is going to come through for you. Now, coming up, I’m going to give you another unlikely quarterback comparison. I know I said that this is not a Bon Knicks versus. However, I do think it’s important to at least mention that this one quarterback that everybody touts as the next greatest thing has very similar numbers to Bo Nicks. And I’m going to explain in just a little bit. Before I do that though, I got to tell you about my friends over at Brunt. Look, fall is officially here. Moose has to do a little bit of uh fence painting this weekend. I got to head out with my dad and do some manual labor, you know, tough guy stuff. All right, so let’s just talk about what we know based off of what you saw in the first half of this video. Bo is now 19 and9 in his first 28 starts as an NFL quarterback. That’s impressive. Most fourth quarter comebacks since 2024 of any quarterback in the NFL. And he’s always had the great intangibles and presence at the microphone. Okay, all of those things are great characteristics of a secondyear quarterback. Now, let’s go really quickly to what he looked like against the Kansas City Chiefs because this is going to matter. Bo was outstanding. 24 of 37. He didn’t score, but he made every throw that he needed to to beat the best. That’s what I’ve been hearing. Kansas City’s the best. Just three weeks ago, people were saying they’re going to win the Super Bowl. Don’t fight it. Just let it kind of gloss over you like a nice sleep. Nope. Bo went out and he beat the best. So, what did I have to do? If we’re going to talk about the best, we got to compare the best. I did some homework for you. Did a little bit of a deep dive. Went out and found some interesting statistics that Bo Nicks has compared to this mystery quarterback. So, since Bo was drafted, Bo has had 28 starts. This quarterback was drafted well before Bo Knicks was. So, this mystery quarterback, I had to take only his stats since Bo Nicks was drafted. So, this is the last 28 games for this quarterback and the first 28 starts for Boone Knicks. Oh, would you look at that? They’re very similar numbers. Almost identical, actually. And who is this mystery quarterback, you might ask? Patty, the media darling. the greatest thing since sliced bread, the greatest quarterback talent we’ve ever seen. But that graphic is not meant to say that Bo Knicks is better than Patrick Mahomes. The graphic is proving that the media plays favorites. I get it. You could look at it and say the eye test shows that Patrick Mahomes is better than Bo Knicks. Well, first of all, it’s not a fair comparison. And second of all, Mahomes is labeled as a god. Everybody talks about how he’s the best they’ve ever seen. And yet Bo Knicks numbers wise looks very similar to what Patrick Mahomes has. And mind you, Patrick Mahomes has a Hall of Fame tight end. He has a future Hall or had at one point a future Hall of Fame wide receiver in Tyreek Hill. And bes and despite that, Bo Nicks still isn’t getting the credit that he deserves. And his EPA per play is damn near right in the middle. It’s slightly left of center. He’s out next to Baker Mayfield and Michael Pennix, Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence. Notice all of the secondyear quarterbacks are all lumped into the exact same area because Bonix is not a finished product. So why are we comparing him to the likes of a guy like Dak Prescott or Josh Allen or Jordan Love or Jaylen Herz or Mar, you know, not Marcus Mariota, but you get my point. All of the players that are far right besides Drake May, all of them have more time experience in an NFL system than Bon Knicks does. You’ve got to give him the patience that all these other guys do. We’re so quick to jump on the he can’t or he can play. There are outliers. There always will be. Drake May seems to be an outlier. Patrick Mahomes was an outlier. But you know who wasn’t? Josh Allen. If the Bills would have quit on Josh Allen, they don’t have the run that they’re on. It’s okay to just let things play out. And nobody understands that better than the Denver Broncos. In fact, his teammates nothing but great things to say about Bicks. Adam Troutman. I’m going to bring this up one more time. that that quote that he gave to the media was one of the most candid, authentic, and real statements I’ve ever heard from an NFL player. And I absolutely loved every second of it. So, my final question to you before we take on off out of here and get you back with another video later today. Is Boone Knicks the franchise quarterback of the Denver Broncos? Type Y for yes or type N for no. Of course, he is. And anybody telling you that the Broncos are a quarterback away or that Shawn Peyton could be interested in drafting a quarterback, they’re full of and they have no idea what they’re talking about. Bo Nicks is going to be the quarterback barring any major injury for this team for the next few seasons. You’ve just got to live with it if you’re a Bon Knicks hater. And if you’re a Bon Knicks lover like me, if you think that he’s not a finished product and you can’t wait to see what he’s got, then strap in because it’s going to be nothing but bone nicks for a while and I’m excited to see where he goes. That’s going to do it for us on today’s episode. A reminder to hit that subscribe button, like today’s video, mile high salute. Be cool. [Music]
Today’s Denver Broncos news surrounds the “conundrum” that is Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. In a recent article written by the Athletic, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is called the NFL’s biggest mystery, claiming that Bo has moments of brilliance and also awful play. Broncos Breakdown host Trace Moustakas claims that Bo Nix is not a tough quarterback to figure out. Moose claims Nix is a momentum quarterback, as most young QB’s are, and is blessed with the clutch gene. Moose breaks down Bo Nix’s stats since 2024 when he was drafted, and says that since 2024 Bo has almost identical stats to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Yes he is our future
Y all day, and twice on Sunday!
Bo is the Broncos QB and I can’t wait to see him have a SuperBowl run like the Pats or the Chiefs!
I am one of the ones that don't dig bo too much with him being inconsistent and bad footwork blah blah ….however I will say he played miles better than he had been ..his footwork looked better he was able to hit the deep passes (struggled all year with this) and he stayed in the pocket and climbed up in the pocket which was great to see …. No TDs but no int from him either was a better game from him and of course our d played lights out! Still not a huge fan of bo but happy to see my team 9-2 going into a bye week ….I've always said I thought bo was a mid qb (average) and hope he keeps getting better like this
Nix was dissed by multiple NFL analysts in the draft. He was graded second round by many. The Broncos were excoriated for drafting him at 12. He was dissed as the last of the QBs chosen in the first 12. Lots of folks HATE eating crow, and that is why Bo Nix will be put under the microscope and criticized unmercifully. Get used to it folks. It will take several years of success before his critics finally get used to eating crow enough that they will sit in silence or grudgingly admit they were wrong.
Be interesting to see a comparison with Mahone''s first 2 years.
We sitting at 9-2 and the Haters still talking at this Point we Could care less about what People has to say about the Broncos we Glad to Know we got Yall Attention Peasants…lol
They'd rather call it bad games by the other teams than admit they're wrong. Good, keep it coming it's all just fuel.
Yes absolutely
Yes. And Stidham could step in if Bo gets injured and keep things going. Exciting times for the Broncos.
Great substantiation of Bo's value. That comparison with Mahomes stats needs to be trumpeted far and wide.
HELL YEAH…HE IS OUR GUY!!!
In year 2 of John Elway's career, we heard the same hate. That guy turned out pretty well!
Yes we got our fran qb
Y
He’s got what it takes
I know the eagles lost before too the broncos but as an eagle 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅 🦅🦅🦅🦅 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅 fan we will be in the superbowl 2026 the Denver broncos are good on defence but they give up way too Many penalties a game and also Payton and his play calls.are a joke bottom line Denver win there div but that's it for them
When a player plays bad, they get slander. When a player plays good, they get praise. Bo has played sub par for a majority of games this year. Having 1 good game a month doesn’t prove the “haters” wrong. This is just Drew Lock all over again.
Definitely our franchise QB
Yes Bo Nix is the Franchise QB
Let them keep hating and he’ll just keep shining. Bo is playing for an audience of one., he doesn’t care so why should we?
I wanted Bo Nix at 12 so far I hit my target Bo Nix outperformed Elway his rookie year the Broncos 9 -2 he looks like he just graduated from the Air Force Academy as a fighter pilot
Big Y. Known it since I saw his processing speed in the first preseason game!
Drake has had an EASY schedule this year, the EASIEST!
Slander Bo nix because the NFL darling mahomes is an old man just like kelce, and no one gives a damn about kelce and swift…..get over yourselves….lmao
Eh. Bo's still learning. He's a sophomore quarterback. He's winning despite his struggles. Yes, the defense has been awesome. They've made a huge difference. But we often have a terrific defense, and the quarterbacks we had prior to Bo couldn't come through when it mattered.
Remember Russell Wilson? He won a few games. But when it mattered, he couldn't pull it off. My brother said it was pathetic. And Russell was a veteran with tons of experience. Bo is still young.
Now, we should be aware that we are only assured of a winning season right now. We still have to win more games. We're not in the playoffs yet. I refuse to be overconfident. One game at a time. If we get to the playoffs, like it seems we will, I'll hope for one win. If we can get that, I'll raise my expectations. I try never to count my chickens before they're hatched.
Amen…
WTF HE IS OUR SAVIOR AND FRANCHISE QB 🤔💙🧡🔥💯💪🏽👍🏽
Y
I NEED EVEYRBODY WSTCHING THIS TO GO SEE “ oz the mentalist at the la rams super bowl prediction “ he’s been very spot on befor and he literally told the rams two days ago they will be in the super bowl with the broncos and beat the broncos by a couple points . guys the fact he mentioned us is crazy because if he’s not a insider he’s legit . look up his past “mentalist tricks with football teams “ he literally guesses the superbowl in one way or another
Y❤ Y❤ Y❤
WE BO-LIEVE! 🎉

Let them hate
Anyone and everyone that has to do with broncos are piles of dogshit, can't wait for em to get destroyed in playoffs
Colin Cowherd had a segment on Bo today and showed stats that since entering the league, Bo is 7th in total yards, 6th in wins, T-5th in overall TDs, and T-1st in GW drives. So, Bo is top 7 in the NFL after 28 games in all the meaningful categories. At this point, if anyone is dissing him, they're pretty much showing how clueless they are!
YES
Y
He doesn't watch him play point blank. He's a winner he isn't losing the games! He is learning one of the most complicated offenses in the NFL. Payton knows how to get him to to play clutch, the rest of the game is learning and getting it right. It's right there. Drops are the bigger problem and penalties. Fix those and see how much Bo shines js . Bo Broncos ! I believe in you and was proud we drafted you!
How many of our drives got cut short by the reffs? When they can't see BONITO being held and ridden into the ground on every snap but somehow can't miss ANYTHING Riley Moss does? How when we get a chunk play there is someone holding or someone lining up 1" in the neutral zone or 1" off tackle before a snap…I saw KC lining up in the NZ on almost every snap..WTF? BO BEATS THE ZEBRAS,thats the hardest thing to do..Aint no team that can stop you easier than the zebras..Also that reff who ran Shawn Payton over, really? He couldn't see him? He moves down our coach and didn't even look back at him as 3 flags come flying behind him..Are WE TO BELIEVE THAT WASNT INTENTIONAL? IM A BO-LIEVER! FTC,FTChgrs,FTR and FTZEBRAS!
Yes!!!!
Drake Maye is playing in a much more simplified offense. Nix will take off and own this complex offense. Nix is Top-notch and all class!!!!
Y
Yes
Y
YYYY
Yes
Last year they all said that scheme and fit where the only reason that Bo was succeeding and now it is supposedly going to be his downfall?
Bo will continue to make them all look foolish!
U clearly see a complete difference in the offense when Payton gets the play in fast!!
Given our Young and inconsistent WR room, C grade TE”s, and offensive line that won’t be going have players going to the pro bowl, Nix is doing a great job. And let’s not forget a group of RB’s who are injured or rookies or above just ok.average
