Walker & Etienne Jr. Talk Big Win in Week 9 | Jacksonville Jaguars

All right. How disappointing was that result for you uh individually? Uh definitely disappointing. I can’t be doing that. Uh let my team down with it, but they came out with the win. But obviously on my on my end of the table like can’t that’s unacceptable, especially just being able to be there for my team. That’s the main thing and I can’t let that happen again. Did you lose your cool, you thought, or was it just something that escalated? To be honest, I really wouldn’t even say I lost my cool. It was just like a reaction. Uh it’s it’s definitely unacceptable, but it was just a reaction. And I wouldn’t say I lost my cool at all. I reacted. Well, you had a different seat to watch this one. How big of a W and what you watched unfold? That’s amazing. Uh the guys pulled it off. Everybody came together at the end of the game. Uh uh some players stepped up. Cam with some big field goals early in the game. They carried over even late in the game. Defense Deham stepping up. All the guys played a big part. It’s just like the guys just kept rallying together. But it was lovely to see. Uh I wish I could have been out there with them, but the guys got the win. That’s all that matters. And one thought on Joshu. uh he’s so close and he’s been waiting and he and he finally got it. Oh yeah. This one of the games that uh once you get rolling like that, they start to come in bunches and then for him uh game close game like this and him to go get the sacks in the moments that he did. I was real real real really major. Uh he’s been one of those guys. He he hasn’t stopped working even though he hasn’t been getting sacks lately. He has been getting a lot of presses regardless. He’s been getting to the quarterback, but now they’re going to start coming in bunches for him. So I’m very proud of him and I’m pretty sure he’s going to get that record real soon. Well, he did. He got it. He end up Yes, sir. Yes, sir. That’s major, bro. I’m proud of my brother, man. He really put in the work for it. He deserves it. And uh it’s only it’s only going to keep getting higher. Knowing him, he’s going to keep shooting for the stars. All right. Now, you got to chase here. Yes, sir. I’m definitely going to come chasing. You guys scored on the last six possessions. So, how’d you get it rolling? Uh we just got tired of beating ourselves, I guess. Uh we just locked into the game. You know, we got lock in a little earlier. Uh be better in the red zone, especially earlier in the game, even when you put oursel in those positions late in the game. But um just proud of the way that we fought, way we responded and where we came out in the second half. Do you feel like you found something with a little cleaner football, but also leaning on the run game the way you did? Man, that’s a question for the viewers, you know. You know, I feel like uh I mean, we got the W. That’s all that matter of the day. I feel like uh we give our defense a chance to get off the field, uh catch their breath, you know, and I feel like we just did a great job sustaining drives and uh just got rid of the penalties. uh we was much more efficient. Um getting down the field, we just got to be better in the red zone early in the game and uh anytime it get down there, we got to have that mindset come up uh leave a points. How fun is this for you to be involved as much when everything sets up where you can get the ball more after the last few weeks specifically? I mean, I love it. I mean, that’s why that’s the reason I started playing running back to, you know, to be able to help the team the best way I can. I just just let my skill set uh just go out there and do my job, you know. I play I I chose to play running back for a reason and uh coaches gave me the opportunity to go out there and make plays whenever you call my name. I just got to continue to just be efficient, continue to uh take what the defense give me and just lean on my offensive lineman. Two plays. What are you thinking on the Cam Little 68 yard kick and how much did that change the game? Do you believe? Not going to lie, I feel like that’s that woke everybody up. I feel like uh when that happened, just going into the locker room, I feel like everybody just had a sense of belief and uh just him making that kick, you know, I feel like there was momentum we needed in order to propel us in that second half. And then how about the last play by Deon? I mean, those are one of those moments you almost don’t want to watch, I would imagine. Oh, no. I’m watching. I’m watching. I feel like I I would hate it if I didn’t see it, you know, and I had I had total belief in my defense, you know. I I didn’t think they was going to score at all, but you know, they got down there, but um defense came up with a play. Devon came up with a great play and I feel like that’s is why that’s why we have those guys on the field and uh just thankful they’re on my
