It happens gradually, but it can happen. We now look forward to a Falcons loss every weekend and find ourselves disappointed if they manage to eek out a win. We’ve been to two games this year (both losses) and my wife is always brimming on the drive home talking about all the team’s mistakes.
It’s sad but here we are.
I was displaced from the South for a long time, and while I paid attention to the local team where I was living, as long as the Falcs existed I was still interested in what they were doing. It’s easier to ignore and wait. Shit, I’m almost 50, why pick up a new team now?
I have the Dawgs and my wife is a Green Bay fan. At least I can watch good football, too.
Damn that’s pretty funny! Now can we get this swirling in front of AB? ( you are not a dumb owner it’s ok to fire every damn body)
ahhh thank you
I wouldn’t even know who to pick.

I’m a Falcons/Gamecocks fan. Fuck my life. Loyal and dumb.
I live in Richmond and listen to the sports junkies every day – I might have to be a Commanders fan now

Can’t do it. I’m down for life. I will pass down my love of falcons and receding hairline to children. I will make sure this pain stays generational!!
FIRE RAHEEM
What other team would you guys choose? Maybe not giving up the Falcons entirely and having a side team. Or completely switching teams? Bandwagon or not, I want to have fun watching “my team” play football. I like watching the Bills, Ravens, and Buccaneers the most. I’d probably pick Bills
Has never worked for me and can’t say I haven’t tried. Mom’s side of the family is from Baltimore and the Ravens are kinda-sorta my back up team, but I’m not hype or sad when they win or lose. It doesn’t HIT.
I’m in AZ and live a few minutes from where the Cardinals play. Tried to care, lot of Cards friends, but same deal. When they would win, lower-case yay. *shrug*. When they lose, I don’t care at all.
The dumb Falcons are the only ones that move me, for better or worse……….obviously, almost always worse haha :(. Best I can say is when the “hopeful/maybe we’re good” phase is over each season, I don’t center my days around when they play. I’ll watch if i can but don’t hesitate to switch to something else if it gets ugly.
This is meant for Raheem to see, right? Get him to resign?
ARTHUR BLANK: THE FALCONS WILL WIN NEXT YEAR. WE WILL BE BETTER NEXT YEAR.
WE WILL BE BETTER NEXT YEAR.
WE WILL BE BETTER NEXT YEAR.
WE WILL BE BETTER NEXT YEAR.

Tired of this. Am I happy with the falcons? No. But Georgia and Atlanta are my home and I’ll always root for Atlanta no matter how much they suck or break my heart. Always gonna rep the A.
After 13 years of watching every single game this team plays, this season hits different. Most seasons have played out as any reasonable football fan expected it to. This season was full of hope, tho. And we didn’t come close. At all.
I’m tired, boss. So tired.
I don’t know why I tune in every single game knowing we’re gonna get our ass whooped. Watched all of 13, 14, 20 after our 1-7 start. Will watch the rest of this season. And I don’t fuckign know why.
The curse is going to continue. Maybe new ownership can break it. The curse is not preventing us from winning a Super Bowl. The curse is preventing from getting to another one because every team cannot hold onto a lead, without celebrating like we have already won the damn game. When did we last have a top 10 defense in this league? This all started when we decided to present an award before the game was over to Dave Hampton when we assumed he was going to end the season with over 1000 yards. Guess what, he didn’t!
The 1972 Atlanta Falcons season was the franchise’s seventh year in the National Football League (NFL). The team failed to improve on their previous season’s output of 7–6–1, finishing 7–7 and failing to reach the playoffs.[1] Standing at 7–5 the Falcons traveled to San Francisco with the NFC West division title on the line. However, the Falcons were never in the game and saw their playoff hopes dim with a 20–0 shutout loss. Facing the Kansas City Chiefs in their final game of the season, Running Back Dave Hampton surpassed the 1,000-yard mark. However, a play later he was thrown for a six-yard loss to end the season with 995 yards, as the Falcons lost and finished 7–7.
Honestly im not even trippin, as long as rich mckay is here nothing gonna changed. I dont even hate raheem but who tf gave him permission to build a staff top down…mckay
I can’t. I feel like you could go back in time and tell an Atlanta Braves fan that in 1990, a New England Patriots fan in 2000 or a Golden State Warriors fan in 2013. I refuse to give them up. Fuck! I’m an idiot.
I lived through the 80s and 90s. I can handle this.
I’m a Browns and Falcons fan. Somehow the Falcons have depressed me more than the Browns. It’s the hope that kills you and the Falcons appeared to have a lot of potential this season player wise. Browns were always destined to stink.
I’m a die hard fan but I’m easily loving my love for football. I used to watch all the NFL games but now I just keep the falcons game in the background and just do other productive shit now.
Damn, I was hoping this would work
Spent too much on merch this year thinking like a fool. Throwing that shit away. Never again. Fuck this team. I hate football now.
😂🤣😂
Man, I’m a Bills fan for 40+ years and a Falcons fan for 20+ years.
Peaks and troughs. I’ve seen some really shitty coaches; some really incredible teams;
You just… celebrate the good and do what you need to to get through the bad. And sometimes for your own mental health you just gotta give it a passing notice only for the wretched.
I remember the Bills going 0-9, and *The Onion* having a sports graphic that was something like “Bills players dump garbage on coach in celebration of 0-9 start”. Fucking brutal. Much less talented squad than the Falcons, but I would have been almost happy with a 3-7 start over 0-9 (think they finally got a win to be 1-11…).
