Coach is right

  1. He might not show it, but I imagine he’s seething mad inside. Hopefully this results in better adjustments and cohesion post-BYE week

  2. There’s no sugar coating it. In the words of Phil, “That was a good old fashioned rear-end whipping”

  3. Harbaugh knows he made a mistake with Penning. Theres a reason why the Saints wanted to trade him. He is horrible. He failed at Tackle for them so then they tried him at Guard and he failed as well. The only reason he’s still in the league is because he was a first round pick and still young but he is horrible. He’s going to be out of the league soon and he had huge character concerns. I know we have injuries on the OL but we were actually doing fairly ok and winning games. Austin Deculus actually was playing decent. Penning is a headcase and to put him out there was malpractice. Penning brought the whole team down, cut his ass now.

  4. This loss just exemplified all of our weaknesses.
Terrible pass and run blocking OL
    Poor play calling
Unable to stop the run game
Lack of pressure on the QB
Normally with these we could manage a small fight but with Herbert’s subpar performance (Not entirely his own fault but still poor) we just didn’t stand a chance.
Very disappointing but we have to hope the team (espacially play calling) can learn and grow.
