[Charania] The NBA fined the Cleveland Cavaliers $100,000 for violating the league’s Player Participation Policy when the team held Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley out of the team’s game against the Miami Heat on Nov. 12 for rest.

  1. Eliminate back-to-back games. Feel like there have been more than ever now. Kind of dumb they sat, but I don’t remember there being so many games like this.

  2. As they should. Zero excuse for these guys to be making $50 million a year and sit out to REST.

  3. Seemed like a silent protest by Kenny after the whistle they got in the first Miami game. I think they said the was the 1st or 2nd ejection Kenny has had as a coach.

  4. Didn’t the season start like 5-6 days later than last year? Idk the end date but maybe that has constricted the schedule

  5. It was a pretty blatant violation – I don’t think they get fined if they sit the guys against Toronto. League rules say you are supposed to rest players at home when possible.

  6. Is it cause we won with our bench players? And played perfect defense which isn’t allowed in the NBA lmao

  7. The schedule has been absolute ass. A ton of away games followed by two games in Miami with a back to back after the second where we had to travel back to Cleveland. Make a better schedule.

  8. This was the fourth game of a Five-games-in-seven-nights span.

If the NBA doesn’t like this they can fix their schedule.

  9. I don’t like players sitting out of games healthy, but how can you blame them when they play a game in a different city almost every single day ? The Nba schedule needs an overhaul.

  10. On a back to back when our roster already has injuries the nba wants to run our team into the ground . Eliminate back to backs . Until then I’m glad we have a rich AF owner and this is like me getting fined 84 cents

  11. Good. Load management is one of the big reasons why the NBA comes off as a pretend sport.
