Josh Naylor named Tucker, the Mariners’ clubhouse dog, as one of the reasons he re-signed with Seattle

  1. It was fun to watch Naylor play in the ALCS (said as a Blue Jays fan).
Glad he’s found a good place to be.

  2. Somehow, Josh Naylor managed to make himself even more likable. God it was tough to route against him in the ALCS but he was killing us

  3. As rocking the baby against Cole, I hated this man, lol. And I’m sure the Bronx felt the same way. But to see his do his thing time after time after being traded, to see him find a home, kudos to him. Good pickup for the Ms.

  4. Did he do something with his hair? It looks way better than his Cleveland days. Maybe it’s just looking shorter and healthier.

Anyway, it’s easy to jokingly give credit to the dog, but I assume it’s because Seattle is a cool place to live and play, the team clearly can be successful, and also they gave him the type of deal he was looking for. Why risk it for more money elsewhere when you don’t know if those other clubhouses are good?

  5. Every team in MLB has now announced they will be introducing a dog to the clubhouse. Except the Yankees.

  6. It would be very funny if a reporter in the room didn’t know that Tucker was a dog.

    Make a good /r/nottheonion headline

  7. I miss this guy like crazy, but honestly he looks so much happier and healthier since going to the Mariners that I really can’t complain, and I’m happy that the M’s fanbase has embraced him just as much as we did.

  8. Miss him, but he’s such a great fit in Seattle.

And I love that Seattle has Tucker. How many other teams have a clubhouse dog?

  9. Man, I know he got a decent amount of hate during his time in Cleveland, and it’s just so nice to see him somewhere he’s happy, and fans are excited to see him play every day. Helluva ball player and seems like a real standup guy.

  10. I didn’t go into today knowing I’d be a big Josh Naylor fan but here we are living life to the fullest

  11. I had no idea the significance of Tuckers place in baseball history. I hope that good boy is well looked after
