MIKE MACDONALD DROPS A SURPRISING MESSAGE FOR SAM DARNOLD! SEATTLE SEAHAWKS NEWS

The vibes in Seattle shifted fast after that week 11 trip to Los Angeles because what happened against the Rams left every Seahawks fan asking the same thing. Why did this offense lose its rhythm right when the team needed it most? And the surprising part isn’t just the loss. It’s what Mike McDonald revealed afterward about Sam Darnold’s decisions in the biggest moments. Seattle fell 21 to9 in a game that felt winnable from start to finish. But the four interceptions changed everything. Macdonald said he reviewed every single turnover and what he found paints a clear picture. Most of them came late in the down when Darnold tried to extend plays instead of simply getting to the next snap. That’s the balance Seattle is fighting for, letting him be a playmaker without drifting into risky hero ball. Macdonald explained that Darnold has been at his best this season when he plays on time and in rhythm. And it’s true, he’s made a lot of smart, efficient throws and even created off schedule when necessary. But against the Rams, the pressure got to him. Instead of taking the safer option, he pushed the ball downfield into danger, trying to force something out of nothing. The result for turnovers in a matchup with huge NFC West implications. Seattle now sits at 7 to3. Still in the hunt, still in second place in the division, but the margin for error is shrinking. And here’s the key. How Darnold responds from this game will define the next stretch of the season. The team doesn’t need him to stop being aggressive. They just need him to protect the ball and trust the structure when the play breaks down. The Seahawks are still absolutely in the NFC playoff mix. But the adjustment from Darnold has to come now. No panic, just cleaner decisions, faster processing, and knowing when to live for the next play. What do you think, Seattle? Can Darnold bounce back and lead this group through the next stretch? 1. The next move is not to come from Darnold. The next move is to improve the run game so that Darno.d doesn't feel like he's carrying the whole team…which he is not….but he feels the pressure. The Hawks need quicker plays, faster execution. When Sam ho.ds on for more than two seconds, bad things happen.

  2. Darnold will be fine. This is no crisis, just a tough division loss to a very well balanced and equal team that was on fire for the home crowd. The defensive pressure was intense on every down, both at the line and the pass coverage. They're very good, the Rams. So are we.

I'm mostly impressed with the improved Seattle O-Line this year – from 5th worse to about the middle of the League. That ain't no accident, and a better line sets everyone else free.

  3. The problem is the coaches also are responsible they're the ones that put Sam in that situation They didn't run the ball enough; their Play calling was questionable they act like they're behind by five touchdowns the way they played. They had plenty of time to get back in the game just because they fell behind early where LA played it safe Which is easy to if you're ahead in the game The Rams as a team was more disciplined as well as the coaching staff, they are more experienced overall than Seattle.

  4. Bummer that last, absolute perfect punt….Despite everything, we might have gotten closer to the game winning FG with a touchback….hats off to Rams punter, that one was brutal. Also, in a season and a half, Hawks improvement is spectacular, but I never saw. sB team, quite yet. Gonna be a great rest of season!

  5. Sam has to work on his nerve in times of big match! I know he can pick-up from his mistakes and own it! Still rolling on #14! Go Hawwwwkksss!!!
