The 2025-26 NBA Season Begins | Warriors Way (Ep. 1)

Oh, my fault, Gary. Outside. Get out of here. Yes, sir. I won the ball. We got
a crowd outside over there. Want to hopefully get off to a good start. Shoot it, BP. You know,
the West is tough. A lot of competition. Yes, sir. Yeah. The wins and losses are always in our
control. It’s just a matter of we’re going to do the little things each and every day. Great
offense, White. Hell yeah. You have a lot of guys that’s been in the fire before and know what
it takes. Bring your hard hat every every game, every practice, just trying to get get better
every day. You embrace the process. You enjoy the process. You take everything that comes with
the process. Want to be able to position ourselves and be healthy come playoff time. And then we know
we can beat anybody. No matter who the matchup is, we just want an opportunity to do it. Great cut,
Will. That kid’s pretty good. on the other night. You know, all these cuts only. Really? Yeah.
It’s exciting. No, Will going to be good. No, he’s good. Good job, fellas. Bring it in.
Bring it in. Some rookies to the line. Yes, we do. Post. You’re not out of this
yet, brother. Still a rookie. Still a rookie. Happy birthday to you. And
then what’s the black version? Happy. It is the Lakers and the Warriors in a
Pacific Division matchup that is slated with star Luca Donuch in his first full season
as a Laker. Steph Curry in year 17 as a warrior. Welcome to year number 80 for the Warriors
franchise. Enjoy this fellas. Let’s do what we do. Just 1 2 3. Tonight, Golden State
will begin chapter one of an 82 game tome. It starts right here in Los Angeles
where they will take on a divisional rival, the Los Angeles Lakers. We got to
come out and be ready to play. I mean, you got to find the best version of
yourself as as quickly as you can. And um I’m confident we’ll do that just by mixing and
matching our lineups early on. I have to. You see, I have to this year. Nothing but excitement
in the training camp in the preseason for the Golden State Warriors trying for another
title. That’s what this is all about. Let’s go. The Jeffy head up with the dribble. Air flapping
in the breeze. Crossover dribble down the lane. Left side goes right corner to Butler. He’s
off, but he fires. Three ball. Right corner pocket. Warriors lead by one. Top to Draymond.
Scream for Curry. It’s a three ball on top and it’s good. Stephen Curry with his first three
of the season. Reed’s on the go. Goes up strong. Rejected by GP2. Swatted that one out
of bounds. My goodness. Big attack to Butler. Beautiful pass and he slams it down.
A little elevation sensation. Oh, he disco 5554. That’s our score at the break. Good to get
off to a good start. Fighting upstream most of last year. You don’t want to do that this year.
So, it’s important to get off to a good start. Ka steps out, receives the ball and nails a three
to open the second half. Back door cut. Curry got away from Venton and he laid it in to eight and
stripped and stolen as Richard came from the weak side. The rookie took it away from the big guy.
Leads a threeon two. Lob play up good. What a play by Will Richard. Buddy Heel takes his time. It’s
a three ball for Buddy. Buddy Heel is killing the Lakers defensively. He gets inside, gets to his
spot. He’s up to 40 leads. Attack ball for two. Time out Golden State. It’s a two possession game
with 4 minutes to go. 105- 99. Butler goes to work to Draymond. Has to take a corner three. And it’s
good. Draymond Green. A clutch triple right there. Warriors looking to close the door. It’s Butler
patient for the bucket. going to shoot Yuri deep one bullseye and Laker fans shaking their head
start to head to the exit. The horn sounds and game one is in the books and Golden State has
come away with a win 119 to 109. How eager are you to see where you guys measure up with all the
teams in the West? I mean, the West as usual is loaded. Not getting too ahead of ourselves.
Every game is an opportunity to get better. We’re just plotting our way through night after
night. take a game at a time and enjoy, you know, this process. Opening week of the 202526 regular
season rolls on from San Francisco with two recent NBA champions, both with a legitimate shot and
a he returned to the mountain top. The energy is electric. The most excited I’ve been for the past
few years from Luton just outside of London. We flew over today to come to the Warriors game. I’m
just here with him. This is his bucket list. So, we’re here. We don’t have too many more years of
this left. So I think everyone’s just excited to see them succeed. I think we got another title
running us. So yeah, let’s see it. Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry have two full years left. Greymont
Green and Alford have one year plus of player options. So they have collectively kind of decided
it is a two-year sprint to the finish line. It provides a level of like career urgency
and win now urgency I think organizationally but at the same time you have to take two
steps back and look at the marathon that an NBA season is and not operate with too much
urgency. These guys got to be fresh in April. they have a legitimate shot if if things break
right for them to contend to play meaningful basketball as Steph likes to call it and to make
make some noise in the playoffs. There’s a lot of good teams in the league, a lot of talent in
the league, a lot of youth in the league that, you know, they’re confident against, but
it’s going to be tough come April, May, Golden State Warriors. 116 109 timeout for Golden State.
Curry behind the back off a screen by Draymond Curry. Quick release. Ties
the game. He’s tied the game. Gordon, he’s been all night. Got another one. 10th
three-pointer for Gordon. Denver takes the lead. We love the moment. Uh that’s just who
he’s been since I’ve known him. You know, the bigger the moment, the more he rises. He’s
this quiet guy. You know, we all know Steph right how he is, but he bought a show. Draymond pops
out unguarded, gets the ball, flipped it to Curry, screens for Curry. Deep three from half court
to score. We’re trying again. 31 shot and he nailed it. We’re tied. 21.4 to go. 6 seconds
to go. Hurry on the screen. Put it on the shot. Back left. Curry curls up from down in the paint and that’s another three ball away
by Curry. He steps around Murray and lays it in. A little Euro for pumping
puts up by Butler. Top of the T3. Good. And the Warriors get a 137 131 overtime victory.
Jimmy for the home opener. How good did that feel both offensively and defensively down the
stretch? Felt great. Big time atmosphere, big time shots. It’s good to get the first one
at home. A lot of times people get sped up and often times that’s due to pressure,
you know, and lack of experience and, you know, we don’t lack that at all. And so
the familiarity of being in those moments, we knew exactly what we needed to get to.
Obviously Steph and and Jimmy, but we had a lot of guys step up and make big plays. You know,
this was a a great win against a great team. A tough loss, but kind of a schedule loss after
an overtime thriller against Denver last night. Ka spins back to Moody. Pick three. Got it. Curry
fights. Kaminga. Flies in for the dunk. That’s it. 131 to 118. Kaminga, you had a really strong
performance just going throughout the summer, you know, I sat down, you know, and really
thought about what can I had on my team that’s how can I impact Brenn just adding a rebounding
mindset I think is just a big part just keeping up that same you know that same work just hunt
in the air with the greatest of ease been a lot of talk postgame about the maturity in JK’s
game one of the things Steve said is you know you’ve kind of taken him aside in camp and and of
conversation. I’m just curious what you’re seeing out of that dynamic. I just want to help JK be
great. I mean, he’s he’s got so much like just raw talent and he’s he’s so aggressive. He’s
athletic. He’s super smart. And I’m trying to teach him a little bit of what I see throughout
the game. And we’ve been, you know, kicking it, hanging out, watching film, and just working on
our game together after practice, before practice, during practice. I just I know how great he
wants to be and how how great he can be. So, it’s now my job to double fulfill that. We all can
ask for opportunity. When you ask for opportunity, you must deliver. I think he’s been very vocal
about his opportunity and he delivered. I love my good. Curry on the bounce to Butler right
down Broadway to the rim and he slams it down with three on the clock. Post takes a three. It’s
on the way. It’s good. His fourth triple of the night. Will Richard bangs a three and that
is that. Golden State goes to 4 and one and get ready for a twoame Midwest trip. It’s fun. A
lot of smiles, joking around. That’s the way that the game is supposed to be. That’s the atmosphere
that you need to have if you want to make a deep run. You got to love being around one another.
I think we have that at the highest level. Um, we’re good. And I don’t say good in a complacent
way. I say good like everybody’s happy. Blocked by Turner. Work for an offensive rebound out the step. Gets it to Ray Wing
three. Good. Rollins for three. Driving Draymond Green. Good shot off the glass
and in with four. Aid. Oh no. Everything went wrong. We didn’t execute on offense. We didn’t
execute on defense. We fouled. We turned it over. We didn’t deserve it. They played great. These
are two games that you really should have and wanted to have to show for, you know, our start.
Hopefully, it lights a fire in all of us. There was no message, you know, not now is not the
time to say anything to the team. We got to pack up and fly home and regroup. Tonight,
the Warriors are back home after a day of rest to face a new look Sunquad. Skipped it to a
wideopen Moses Moody for three and it’s nothing but net for Moses. Moody takes another three
and buried it. The Suns will call timeout. I think he’s feeling it. Jimmy Butler not starting
this second half. Yet to get any update. Warriors in the first of four meetings with Phoenix.
Come away with a 118 107 victory. Tonight, the Warriors on the second night of a backto-back
versus the rival Kings with no Curry or Butler. 1 2 3 going on first ever NBA start. He plays defense.
He can hit three-point shots. He’s a national champion at the University of Florida. He’s
accustomed to playing under bright lights. poise, the maturity. He does not look like a
rookie on the floor. Brings a ton of energy. He’s flying around out there. He’s a player
who can connect lineups because of his passing, because of his awareness. So, we’re excited to
give him the opportunity. And I told him how this is the NBA. You know, how strange it is. He didn’t
play last night and now he’s starting tonight. Richard three ball left side. Got it. Buried that
the range. Richard ahead of the play. Dunks it. tipped in by Richard. Richard down with 14.
Oh, Richard, I mean, has been beautiful in this first half. Takes a middle, throws it
to Richard. That high arcing three is good and he got fouled. And a magical night for the
rookie from Florida continues. Will Richard, he’s open. He fires. Another three ball for the
rookie. Good golly. Tonight, 30 points in the first start. Will Richard earned himself some
big time minutes after basically getting the DMP last night against Phoenix. There’s something
to be said for the players that don’t get to play and come into the game ready when their numbers
are called. This is Will Richard tonight. Over the summer for me, I was trying to focus on like
just get on the same page, learn offense stuff, learn the defense. Oh, I’m there. Go, go,
go, go, go, Z. Stay low. Stay low. Stay low. I feel like I learned majority of the system
already. I mean, from asking a lot of questions and trying to get on the same page in terms of
all that. And then just playing in summer league, playing in practice and stuff like that. I feel
like it helped me catch up very quickly. Yes, sir. I think the coaches trust me just cuz of my
mentality and the way I approach every day. I feel like I’m trying to learn as much as possible. I’m
asking the best questions and it’s been great just being able to watch them and learn every day.
I mean, they’re going to be Hall of Famers, so it’s it’s good to be around those guys and
learn from them. 5,280 ft above sea level. The scene of tonight’s Emirates NBA Cup Showdown
again. No step. Curry dealing with an illness. Go and go. Schedule has just been been brutal. Six
games in 10 days. They’ve lost four of the last five. This is not a normal schedule to start the
year. Murray pull up three. Go. Turn it inside. Two more. Golden State has split their first 10
games as they lose by a count of 129 to 104. Steve singled out Sunday against Indiana as kind of like
a must-win game. Do you do you view it that way, too? I don’t I don’t I I don’t view game 11 as a
must-win, but um I get what he’s I I understand what he’s getting at. At some point, we have
to start building an identity. you always must protect on court and you’re going out on the
road, you know, for 10 days. So, you know, we always talk about the getaway game. This is
it. You know, it’s a team that just beat us. They kind of took a game that we should have won.
So, I I understand where he’s getting at for sure and I’ll approach it that way. Two to shoot. Got
to go. Moses Bes shot good and he hit it. Golden State Warriors will get to one game above 500 as
they start a very difficult six-game road trip with a flight to OKC tomorrow as this tough part
of the schedule to start the year continues. It’s going to be a tough trip. Uh as you mentioned, two
backto-backs. Um we kind of felt like, you know, getting through this early um part of the schedule
um in one piece and you know, if we’re healthy and, you know, win win our share of games that
um it sets up the rest of the season well for us.

  1. Moses tying Steph with the second most 3's (7) in ANY quarter as a Warriors was crazy!! 🎉❤🔥🔥

Klay still untouchable with NINE 3's tho. 😅

  2. 1 more 40+ pt game and Steph will have more of those games after the age of 30 than MJ did! 🤩🙏

Our 🐐 is still so goddarn amazing 🎉❤❤❤

  3. This schedule is so brutal and it almost caused serious grievances within the team at some point about a week ago.

The NBA once again trying to ruin the Warriors chances to go anywhere.

16 games, of which 5 back-to-backs in 31 days in THIRTEEN TOWNS??

    That's simply diabolical man. 😠😠

Glad Warriors are managing somewhat great! 👍🔥

  4. Need more interviews..and personal clips…especially after the losses if you desire to storytell…that's when we are able to see the transformation in the players and as a team=) (if need more shooters, do let me know=))
