NBA ROBS KNICKS! New York Dealing w/ MAJOR Karl-Anthony Towns Problem | Knicks News
Listen, the Knicks should have played better. They should have been more consistent, especially with their three-point defense, which ultimately allowed the Heat to win this game. Never leave the game in the referee’s hands. All of that is true. But the Knicks were robbed. Did you see that call? Forget the goalending call. Where was the foul? The NBA legitimately costs the Knicks this game. We’re going to break down all of these latest reports today. This episode is presented by FanDuel. We have a goal of trying to reach 40,000 subscribers and we could really use your support. If you enjoy daily Nicks content, please hit that subscribe button. And now, let’s get started. The Knicks were robbed by the NBA. I’m hot right now. I am furious. For those of you mad at New York, I’m right there with you. They should have never allowed this game to get that close. On the other hand, when the game is that close, you got to call it. You need to make the call. The Knicks were robbed. As you can see here, the game was extremely close. 115 to 113. New York drops this game and they continue to lose on the road. And shout out to channel sponsor FanDuel, America’s number one sports book, for giving us this updated information on who was supposed to win the game last night between the Heat and the Knicks. And as you can see, as much as FanDuel has been loving the Knicks, last night they gave the favorite to the Heat because New York was on the road and clearly the Knicks have not won on the road yet and that probably hurt their odds here. Also, they didn’t have JB or OG Anobi likely also hurting these odds. But either way, FanDuel called it correctly because the Miami Heat were able to pull out the victory against the Knicks. Before we break down exactly what Deuce McBride did, and don’t worry, we absolutely will, we have to speak about the quarterto quarter breakdown. In the first quarter, the Knicks scored 20 points to the Heats 25 points. The rest of the way through for the rest of the game. In the second quarter, third quarter, and fourth quarter, the New York Knicks scored 31 points each and every time. in two of those quarters actually scoring a little bit more than the Miami Heat. Just like you guys, I wish New York’s offense was better last night. I wish all of their open three-point shots, which they generated, especially in that second half. I wish they went down, but they didn’t. And ultimately, the Knicks lost this game. But when the game is that close, and you just saw it by the quarterto- quarter breakdown, as a referee, it is your job to make the right call. Do your best to make the right decision. And the Knicks did not have that grace by the referees last night. They were absolutely robbed. Let’s take a look at the exact play I’m talking about. Before we watch this video, I just want to remind you guys if you’re not already subscribed to the channel, now is the perfect time to do so. We have a goal of trying to reach 40,000 subscribers. So, Deuce McBride misses the shot. Carl Anthony Towns gets it back. That’s a goalending call. Let’s watch it one more time. This time, we’re going to slow it all the way down. Deuce takes the shot. It goes up. He misses the shot. Carl Anthony Towns gets the rebound in traffic. You see him get it right there. Okay, we’re right there right now. He has the rebound. He’s trying to gather. He does. He goes back up. Now look at this for a second. What is this? What is that? He’s in an upward motion putting up the shot. Wear is not even in the blocking motion yet. Wiggins has his entire arm, forearm pressed against Carl Anthony Towns. Haimey Hakez has his arm right on Carl Anthony Town’s shoulder as he’s shooting this shot. Where’s the foul? That’s not a foul. That’s not a foul. Forget the goalending. That’s not a foul. His arm is all on Carl Anthony Towns. Haimey Hawz’s arm is on Coral Anthony Town’s shoulder. Nobody’s calling that. Nobody’s calling a foul on that. Look at this. He’s shooting. This is even a worse shot. The ball is up. He is shooting. He is now putting this ball up to hit the glass and try to go in. That’s what he’s looking to do. But as you can see, Andrew Wiggins, his hands all over Carl Anthony Towns. At this point, it looks like he’s kind of pushing Carl Anthony Towns in the abdomen. Then you have Hakez right over him trying to get the block shot. Look where his hand is. Right next to Carl Anthony Town’s shooting hand as he’s trying to get that ball up. Both of these things right now in this moment. This is a foul. It should have been called a foul and Carl Anthony Towns should have been at the line shooting two free throws. That’s what should have happened. But that is not what happened. Instead, Khalo Wear blocks the shot. Initially, they called it goalending. And because they call it goalending, now they can only review the goalending call. They cannot review the foul that came before it. And after they review the goalending, they confirm. They determine that Khalil Wear’s block is clean. They take away those points. They allow the teams to jump again for the ball. They do not allow Carl Anthony Towns to go to the line and after that the rest of the game it is over. Now maybe Deuce McBride should have took a better shot at the end. Maybe Carl Anthony Towns should have been able to put in one of those attempts at the final moments. It did not go the Knicks way and they lost this game. But do not get it twisted. What we’re looking at right here on the screen was a foul on Coral Anthony Towns that was not called, ultimately robbing New York of this game. some other reasons why New York was not able to win this game and really it was the performances of Carl Anthony Towns and Mikuel Bridges really in that fourth quarter for the rest of the game I thought Muel Bridges played a great game offensively and defensively but he disappeared in the fourth quarter when we really needed him and Carl Anthony Towns his game was all over the place last night he did give you 22 points but he did it on 20 attempts He only made seven of those. Then he was one of seven from three. A lot of those threes were contested, not great shots, and he was forcing them. He also pulled down 16 rebounds. Five of those rebounds were offensive. He also had a block shot, too. Carl Anthony Towns, defensively, he was okay, not great, but offensively he disappeared a lot last night. He could not get anything going. could not help New York really close the gap and really we needed Carl Anthony Towns to drive more, be more aggressive. He did not have that many points in the first half. In the second half to start off that third quarter, he started to be more aggressive, but he also started to pick up those silly fouls again. And as he did that, he had to go to the bench, break the Knicks momentum. Now the Heat are back into the game. They’re getting the lead and New York has to break momentum trying to get the lead back again. But in that fourth quarter, Miami, they really start locking New York down defensively, getting stops, and then they’re able to score. And New York, really like it’s been all night long for them. They’re not able to get a bucket. especially from three. Especially when they are wide open from three and when you’re missing those shots and you’re constantly turning the ball over and you’re not making the right decision with the ball and the refs are not even making the calls that they should be making, you’re likely going to lose the game. Mikuel Bridges, we needed to see more from him in that fourth quarter. Great to see it for the first three quarters, but what happened in that fourth? We need to see more from Mikuel because without OG, without Jaylen Brunson, it needs to be Carl Anthony Towns and Muel Bridges stepping up for this team. One player that did step up for this team last night, even though it did not lead to a victory, was Deuce McBride. I said it before with this type of offense, it could be anybody on any given night. And last night, it was Deuce McBride. And if we won the game last night, it would have been the Deuce McBride game because he went off. There was one play that he got the ball, went coast to coast, split two defenders, and jammed it down. It was incredible. I love to see it. I wish we could talk about that all day, but there really isn’t a point to talk about it. It’s a good play. Miles McBride did great, which you’re about to see, but ultimately it led to a loss. Deuce McBride as the Knicks lose to the Miami Heat. Shout out to New York basketball on the app X for giving us this following information. 25 points, 10 of 23 from the field. Pretty efficient. Five of 12 from three. Pretty efficient. His assist numbers are at zero. Now, I believe they would be a little bit higher if New York was able to hit something from three. But either way, Deuce McBride in Jaylen Brunson’s absence, he has to be more mindful of the fact that he needs to move the ball and get others involved. But the one turnover, you love to see that. And that was all in 39 minutes. So, Deuce McBride, he had a very good game, one of his best games of the season. But it’s unfortunate. We can’t really even talk about it because that performance, which was good, it didn’t lead to a Knicks victory. We lost. And when you take a look at the team stats, you’ll see the Knicks did exactly that. They could have played a lot better, but they didn’t. And there’s one team stat that when you look at it will tell you automatically this is why the Knicks lost the game. And really, it’s their three-point shooting or lack of three-point shooting. As you can see here with the team stats, the Miami Heat shot 45% from the field and 40% from three. Conversely, the Knicks shot 46% from the field and only 25% from three. That’s a 15% difference. And that difference was the main reason why the New York Knicks lost this game. Just think about this. If they were able to get that percentage up to even 30%. They likely win this game by maybe one or two points. That’s the scary part here. New York put up 36 threes. They only made nine of them. The Heat, they put up 35 threes and they made 14 of them. And one of the main reasons they were making so many of their threes is because the threes the Knicks allowed them to shoot were almost all wide open looks. And I don’t care what type of player that you are or what your shooting percentage is. When you’re an NBA player and you get an open look from three, you’re likely going to take and make that shot because those are practice shots. The Knicks committed 17 turnovers. They conceded 24 points off of those turnovers. The Heat, they only had 14 turnovers and conceded only 17 points off of those turnovers. So, there’s another reason right there why New York lost this game. But I will continue to go back to this stat each and every single game like I always do because every time you see it, you can know whether the Knicks lost or won this game. Team assist. New York had 23 team assist. The Miami Heat had only 29. Every time you look at the Knicks when they’re losing games, those team assist, they’re under 30. If New York can move the ball and get that number to at least 30 assists a game and they’re hitting their shots, they’re playing good defense, they’re rebounding the ball well, they’re likely going to beat every single team they’re on the floor with. Most times they’re not. If they’re hitting those shots, they’re going to blow out the team. But when they’re not hitting their shots, when they’re turning the ball over, when they’re not really dominating on the boards, they’re winning, but they’re not dominating. That leaves some room there for another team to come in there and beat New York. And last night, Miami did that. They executed their game plan perfectly. The Knicks were not able to do anything. They really couldn’t respond. And their offense, once again, was one of the main reasons they lost this game. But their three-point defense was one of the main reasons Miami was able to seal this victory over New York. You cannot allow a team like the Heat to get wide, open, clean looks from three and expect to win the game when you’re not passing the ball a lot. You’re turning the ball over a lot and you’re missing a lot of your open attempts. It’s just not going to lead to a victory. The Knicks need to do better. And I know a question that a lot of you guys have. Why was Mitchell Robinson not in the game late against the Miami Heat when New York was trying to scramble and win the game? In my opinion, it happened for a few reasons. Number one, if Mitchell Robinson is in the game every time he gets the offensive rebound, they’re going to foul him. And I believe until 2 minutes, they can continue to foul Mitch without any type of issue. So, if he was playing at 3 minutes and they continue to foul him, maybe he misses a lot of shots and the Heat, they’re able to build up that lead a little bit faster. That’s one reason. But I also think if Robinson’s in the game and he’s getting you offensive rebounds before he’s able to pass that ball out, Miami, they would foul him. They would put him at the line. He would be missing a lot of free throws and likely the Heat, they would have ran that score up a lot higher. The reason you saw the players in the game that we did without a Mitchell Robinson is because Mike Brown felt that whoever got fouled in that lineup, they could make their free throws. That’s my thinking and understanding. Anyways, at this point, New York has to refocus and get ready for Dallas on Wednesday. We have no idea if the captain Jaylen Brunson will be making his return that game or not, but one thing is for certain, New York, they have to be better defensively. They have to move the ball. They have to communicate on offense and on defense and they need to play better as a team. The Mavericks, they may be struggling right now, but if New York does not play together, they’re going to allow the Mavs to beat them and they’re going to still be winless on the road, and that cannot happen. Refocus, get back to it, and make sure come this Wednesday, you are locked in and ready to play ball. Play ball the right way. Do not leave it up to the referees, but if it is on the referees, do not blow the call. Do not rob the Knicks. Allow it to be a fair game. What happened last night, no matter what you want to say, New York, in that moment on that play, they were robbed by the NBA. And you’re not going to make me think anything different about it. But what about you guys? What do you think about New York dropping this game to the Heat 115 to 113? Let me know in the comments section below, guys, because honestly, I would love to hear from you. But that’s going to do it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you did, go ahead and smash that like button, leave a comment below, and of course, guys, please subscribe to the channel. Until next time, Nick fans, take care of yourself, your families, and each other. Peace and
THE KNICKS WERE ROBBED! Could the Knicks have played better? Yes! Could their defense have picked up at the right time? Yes! Could the Knicks have passed the ball and hit their shots more? YES! All of that is true BUT the Knicks were robbed by the refs during a critical final play. Karl-Anthony Towns’ play continues to be a detriment to the Knicks when he forces shots up or cannot get by his defender. This is something that needs to be looked at, especially Towns shooting from three… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

We miss 6 free throws too
The best rebounder, shot blocker (Robinson) sitting in crunch time? 🤷🏽♂️
That is marginal contact from Wiggins and the refs aren’t calling that. If anything, the Knicks caught a break at the end… Towns stole the jump ball but the refs didn’t see that. Hart always pushes off on rebounds and drags that pivot foot driving in the lane. Refs called a travel one time when he does it all game. In addition, the Knicks shot 24 free throw attempts, Heat shot 13.
That's why it's not good to play closed games on the road 😒
Deuce was not the one who supposed to have the ball to take the final shot.
Kat was fouled the Refs blow it . Coach Brown should had challenged this.
Offensively Kat supposed to dominate Bam Amabayo was not playing
Deuce is not a point guard don't expect him to distribute the ball constantly that isn't his game
Let's stop arguing with the refs on every play, especially Hart and Kat. It's annoying to watch. Great Players Play. You want to be a Championship Team, play through. Lucky the refs don't give us more techs. That was a Great Game! On to Dallas. Let's Go Knicks.
It was a clean block not a goaltend the ball was clearly still on its way up
Trade Kat for Pascal Siakiam Hands down
Brother we lost the game because of towns and hart combined for 10 turn overs, miss free throws , Kat doesn’t know how to be a number 1 option player even with Jalen out and Duece can’t take 23 shots when Mikal is 9-14 that’s our lost in so many words
We allowed 115 vs a bunch of nobody’s stop with this Miami win cause we weren’t making shots any team that is shooting 40-50 3s will lose to any1 if it’s not falling we should never lose to a Miami team that are playing their bench dam near the entire game
Don't wanna get robbed? Play better, also where's this adapting Mike Clown preached about? Knicks need to be lead, this is why I never wanted KAT, he's too inconsistent & not a number one option, he not even a good second option cause he too inconsistent. He disappears, silly fouls, plays like he's in a 3 point contest, defense has to be better, he's not a leader. When the Captain is out, Mikal should lead the number one option. Deuce has to learn when to be aggressive, I blame Brown for not telling the team that Mikal is the number one option until the Captain comes back. He should also tell KAT to be aggressive INSIDE, stop settling & tryna do too much. If Brown gave Deuce more consistent minutes he wouldn't be out here attempting that many shots. This loss is Brown just as much as the team, he shoulda "adapted" 🥱
Funny thing about it, with 2 starters out, the Cap & OG, you'd think Mitch would bring out some of that offense he been working on lmao. Did all that in the off season for what? Just to never use the ish, another Ben Simmons. Where's the dog at in him? Or Towns, like your that tall, be aggressive, dunk the ball every time, if I'm Mitch, I know I can't shoot, I'm getting lobs, dunks & pin downs all night, I'm going for 20, KAT needs to be aggressive, I'd still take Giannis over KAT, yes KAT the best 3 point shooter so what, he often dies by the 3, disappears & makes silly fouls & trash on defense, Giannis don't have those issues, Giannis may not be better offensively as he don't have 3's & a consistent jump shot but he's dominant & always show up which is a recipe for success so the way Giannis plays, KAT needs to, until KAT improves is consistency as well as domination inside, until Mitch stays healthy (or we upgrade to a TWO WAY C who can defend, rebound & score who stays healthy), OG stays healthy, Yabusele slims down & remember how to play (or trade him) we aren't going anywhere.
Yabusele got 10 minutes, which isn't much especially for somebody who's getting inconsistent minutes, 10 minutes will make someone try to do too much but that being said if you can't trust him to play him big minutes that don't play him at all, Huk shoulda got those minutes plus 5 more. Where's the adaptability that might clown preached about? Landry wasn't doing good so he could have chose to put in Huk &/Kolek🥱
People mad about Deuce taking over but at least he tried, KAT can't even leave the team because if your supposed to be the leader out there you supposed to say get the ball to Mikal, also Mikal has to call for it. Personally you should get the ball in the hands of whoever has been knocking down their shots the most which is Mikal as per usual so in this case, I would have got him the ball but that's just me.
Knicks wasn't robbed. They have become just another soft team that plays no D who lives or dies by the 3. On to the next one.
Our "second" best player and our highest paid player cannot continue to be a 0 on defense and a sometimes on offense. We hold Jalen to a standard of consistency and we should do the same for KAT being that he's a multi time all star/all nba. The levels of inconsistencies from KAT are barely acceptable for a third or fourth option. Either KAT steps up or we start exploring trade options. I'm not willing to waste Brunson's prime to try to figure something out for KAT that he hasnt been able to figure out himself in 10 years in the league
Knicks lose and Bam Adebayo the Knicks stopper did not even play dammit !!!
Nice try knicks, now moving forward
Refs did us dirty against orlando as well 🤦♂️
Yo, I agree. Knicks were robbed. They could have won by hitting their 3s and stopping Heat 3s. But the refs clearly didn't help.
But don’t you have to TRY it out with Robinson? He surprises us sometimes with actually making a few free throws. And KAT needs to drive into the lane more and not settle for long 3s so much.
You can lead the game today.Reforms they gotta kill
The references always make bad calls to no call and they do show favor to the team they like and that is wrong, the NBA need to hold the references accountable for not calling the right calls. And I believe the references are getting paided by outside people not to make calls, maybe the references are getting paided by the mod
I just really wish Kat would get this fouling nonsense together. There were numerous plays where he had a clear advantage to score and we lost the advantage cuz of an offensive foul. That just cant happen as much as it does. Its game changing
refs suuuccked the whole game!
The self-proclaimed best 3 point shooting big man was 1-7 from behind the arc. If teams are smart they will continue putting smaller defenders on Kat like last year. That makes it difficult for him to get his shot off and its harder for him to take a quicker defender off the dribble. It doesnt help that Kat doesnt like to go down low and post up efficiently. This will continue throughout the year and I do not see a fix. Unless there is a 5 out lineup out there. But if we as a team are not hitting shots its a wrap because our defense is disgusting. Oh and that zone defense is trash.
