There’s kinda still more to it. I’ve said this so many times, and I’ll keep saying it. The Cavs lied to Boozer about the offer they were going to give him. The stuff he criticized them for when it happened, and then years later, are essentially true.
I was friends with a basketball player at my college who grew up with Desegana Diop, who was on the Cavs at the time. I was driving him up to Cleveland for the following Christmas so he could spend the holidays with Diop (who lived in Boozer’s former house), and we were talking about it when he told me this, since Diop had told him. The Cavs were trying to sign him for less than he was worth, as noted in the video, but straight up lied to him by saying it would be a certain amount, but then it wasn’t. So, he went looking elsewhere and the rest is history. They were dumb.

LeBron and Boozer would have been enough for at least one championship, in my opinion. What could have been. Imagine LeBron, Boozer, and Redd as a Big 3.
I do wonder about what he said about the NBA warning him about tampering (maybe it was his agent?). If he did re-sign and it became a Joe Smith situation, where the NBA could have punished the team similar to the way they did Kevin Garnett’s Timberwolves.
That being said, stabbing a blind man in the back is diabolical.

I’ve always felt that if Boozer stayed, LeBron wouldn’t have been able to be as free as he was – which could’ve limited his soaring growth.
