We have an MLB move, be it a normal hour, it never happens. And this one, Orioles just traded Grayson Rodriguez to the Angels for Taylor Ward. And again, the thought process is, are you kidding me? This was not on the bingo card. Not that I hate the move, but I am really shocked because um what it’s telling me is that the Baltimore Orioles were ready to move off of a young talented starting pitcher, which his biggest obstacle has been staying healthy. When he’s on the field, he’s a damn good pitcher. When he’s not, and that’s been the biggest if, then you can’t help the team. So, you wonder, it wasn’t time for a fresh start. And the Orioles, yeah, they needed a right-handed bat. um especially in the outfield. So, check that box. It it helps your team. No doubt about it. I I am pretty blown away that the trade happened. But again, I think it’s more so of the Orioles are ready to move on from Grayson than anything else. But one thing I want to talk about with Taylor Ward because people are going to look at his batting average and 228 average. Um I’m not going to really focus as much on that and people are saying, “Oh, the swing and miss.” I look at the RBI’s. Dude had 103 RBI’s. That is important here. And the other thing, dude almost plays every single game. He played 156 or more games in back-to-back years. You want dependable. And what I’m hearing is no platoon. Put Taylor Ward out there every single day. And that’s something I think the Orioles need is consistency. And it looks like they’re going to get that with Taylor Ward. But let me know your thoughts.
