  1. Such a bust of a trade deadline. Urias barely played and has now been released and Sanchez played way more than he ever should have

  2. I know the article says he didn’t hit well, but the hits he had came in clutch moments. I’d like to have kept him around.

  3. There’s just no room for him. The infield is crowded and we have Dubon as our utility guy.

  4. Well, that answers whether or not it’s Doobie or Urias that was staying. I assumed (and preferred) that Doobie stay with the team, but this all but confirms it.

  5. The problem was that Urias was scheduled to make around $6M (Spotrac) in arbitration…steep price for what would likely be the end of the bench guy. My guess is they tried hard to deal him, but no team wants to pay him that much next season. He was an insurance policy in case guys on the IF couldn’t go, but we really didn’t need him in the end.

Sanchez is due $6.5M (Spotrac) and might be next, although, you might be able to get something for him. Problem is, other than his arm and slight hints of power, he really isn’t good at anything.

  6. I’d imagine that Sanchez is next up on the block. He either gets traded or DFA’d as well. He’s projected to get about $6+ million in arbitration.
