And you got the Dallas Mavericks coming into this one 4-1 11 on the year, 6-9 against the number this season, while the Knicks 8-5 straight up and against the number. The Knicks still looking for their first road win of the season. They fell 115 113 at the hands of the Miami Heat while Dallas took a 120 to 96 loss on the road at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves. And for New York, you know, it was just another frustrating performance from the Knicks on the road. But you look at the New York Knicks and who they’ve played on the road this season. They played, you know, the Miami Heat twice, the Chicago Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks. And, you know, those were just games against teams that could potentially be seen by the Knicks again down the road, you know, in the playoffs should any of those teams make it. It would not surprise me. Um, but now you go on the road to take on a Dallas Mavericks team that just hasn’t been able to find their footing. Don’t really know which way is up right now. And while they did get the win over Portland in overtime in their most recent home game, the fact of the matter is that was a game where Dallas was behind for a lot of it. I think they were a little bit lucky to pull it out of the fire in the end and get the win when all was said and done. But the fact of the matter is that defense has been an issue for the Dallas Mavericks in some of their recent home games. They gave up 123 plus in each of their last three home games. And I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it with the Dallas Mavericks. With Dallas, it just feels like it’s always something. If the offense shows up, the defense has a dud. If the defense shows up, the offense is nowhere to be found. And sometimes it’s both where the offense doesn’t show up and they get crushed on the other end of the floor. And I think that that’s something that could happen here. Now, obviously for the Knicks, you want to verify the health status of guys like Jaylen Brunson and, you know, um, you know, obviously Carl Anthony Towns, you know, OG Anobi. But right now, I don’t have an injury report at the time this video is being recorded for the New York Knicks. We’ll do our best to update that for you on Wednesday’s morning show. But the way I’m looking at it is that, you know, the Knicks, even in that game against the Heat, even though they lost it, it was back and forth the entire way. The Knicks went toe-to-toe with the Heat in that game. You had 23 points from Muel Bridges. You had 22 from Carl Anthony Towns. You had Josh Hart with 14-9. M um Miles McBride stepped up as well. So, this is a heat uh excuse me, a Knicks team that can still live without Jaylen Brunson. You just obviously want him back in the lineup because it’s hard to replicate 25 30 points a night. That being said, I just don’t see the Dallas Mavericks competing here. I think that this is a game where Dallas is going to figure it out eventually, but they need to take advantage of winnable spots against teams that are kind of on their level right now and not that step up. and right now that the Knicks are just one of those steps up even though they haven’t been great on the road this season. For me, the way I’m looking at it, I would need more points to consider Dallas in this spot. I just think the Knicks with or without Brunson are the better team and I just don’t see the Mavericks being able to hold down the Knicks for a full four quarters. I think the Knicks pull away in the fourth and get the win and cover in this one. So, I’m going to go with the New York Knicks.
