Hey all, non bulls fan here. Why does no one talk about how damn good Ayo Dosunmu is? He is shooting 55% FG, 46% from three and 90% from the line on 15 ppg while only being paid 7 million a year. It seems like any time I bring him up in an NBA discussion people don't know he's one of the most underrated ballers in the league.

  1. Ayo is by far the most underrated Bull. He was getting a lot of love his rookie year and then had a really bad sophomore slump which took him out of any conversation. Since then he’s make steady progress ever since. So it’s normal for him to fly under the radar. He’s a glue guy as well and those get less talk because they’re doing the dirty work that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet. The team is much worse without him on the floor.

  2. He had his ups and downs before which kept him under the radar from rest of the NBA but he is an amazing 6th man, I don’t know if its local boy energy playing for their childhood team but I believe we should definitely re-sign him.

  3. He’s ridiculously efficient too. 6th man of the year incoming if the bulls win 48 games

  4. We do talk about him. He’s just buried on the bench and doesn’t make big numbers to get national attention.

  5. Contract year, but props to him for maximizing his efficiency when he’s out there.

Hopefully we can afford him. Someone is going to overpay.

  6. I’ve been saying that the Bulls need to keep him over Coby. Let Coby get his $30mil+ somewhere else. We can probably pay Ayo $15-20mil/yr and get largely the same production with better defense and versatility.

  7. The amount of people in here saying pay Ayo and let Coby walk is insane.

Ayo is a bench combo guard. He is not a starter at the 1 or 2 in this league and never will be on a good team.

This team is already locked in for playing PWill $18M a year as a bench player.

Overpaying bench players is how you ruin your team

  8. You’re right he is underrated. Great as a 6 off the bench, and at this efficiency easily a starter. This Ayo is not a mirage, although I’m sure the 3pt will come down. I followed Ayo this off-season — he significantly figured out his training and nutrition.

  9. He was a stud in college and led the #1 team in the country. Glad to see him succeeding in his home town

  10. Very impressive and dosumnu is playing great for us, but statmuse is wrong.

Assuming dosumnu finishes with a 50/40/90 split, it would be one of the lowest scoring seasons of players in the 50/40/90 club.

  11. I need to fill out one of those apology forms for Ayo. Been following him since Illinois and have always liked him & rooted for him, but absolutely did not see this leap coming, and that’s on me. The vibe I get is that he’s been working his ass off. Respect

  12. He’s been one of my favorite Bulls players since his rookie year. My phone background is a shot of him posterizing Antetokumpo a couple of years back, lol.

Overall solid player. Not a star yet, but he doesn’t need to be to have my respect!
