IIRC, there was a chart that showed WR ability to separate and get open against zone and man coverage posted not long ago. Cooks was pretty bottom of the barrel for both.
If Shough manages to be decent with his weapons looking like Olave, Juwan, Vele, and Tipton I will deadass think he’s our next franchise savior
Averaging 2.5 targets per game w/zero targets last week. My guess is that he wants to showcase himself for a job next season and he sees the writing on the wall here. Not sure where he would get more action but he’s trying to prolong his career.
If it was mutual, I’m guessing we recouped some money? Otherwise no reason to release him mid season

Im not mad at Cooks, but i never really understood the signing. Yes, im glad we tried to put more weapons around our young QB. But he’s just not what we needed, Loomis clearly knew that seeing as he still traded for Vele.
