Lonzo Ball: I’m going to give you the most honest answer, and I know Michael feels the same way. I don't know if he said this or not, but I'm going to say I'm going to speak my piece. And I mean this as respectfully as possible, but ninth grade Lonzo Ball in the WNBA is going crazy. So, I would say after ninth grade, no. But before that… cuz look, in ninth grade, I'm over six feet and I'm dunking. Like, I'm coming through like… no girl in the WNBA is doing that. I'm going back door, throw it up. I'm looking like Michael Jordan out there!

  2. The physiological differences between men and women especially in a height-dominant sport like basketball make this just completely unfair.

    Serena Williams said it best, there are two different sports and she likes playing women’s tennis.

  21. I think all this chatter is for attention. Or maybe some political thing related the trans-women playing in women’s sports….but there’s no argument to be made here that women can beat men in basketball or swimming or whatever sport that involves strength/speed/athleticism.

    As a father of a girl’s soccer player I must say these girls today are playing in a different universe than the girls were when I was in HS 20-25 years ago. They’re fantastic and way more skilled and their games are so fun to watch.

    But my daughter’s 8th grade club team lost to the same club’s 6th grade boys team despite the size differential.

  23. This is such a lose lose for the WNBA players. They get asked this all the time and what should they say? If they say yes they get called delusional and stupid and if they were to say no a bunch of losers would suddenly feel validated in their hatred for a league they don’t watch.

These women need to play the game 5v5 and prove their stupid bullshit because they’ve been saying this for years but they will NEVER prove it. You know why? Because they know they will lose horribly.

  34. Basketball has got to be the only sport where people are constantly trying to compare men and women. Literally in every other sport, its treated as separate sports. In Tennis, its MEN’S singles and WOMEN’s singles. Its agreed amongst the athletes themselves that this is how competition is.

    You don’t see any mixed gender track and field events except for the mixed relays.

    Why is it that basketball players always feel the need to try and compare men and women’s version of the sport?
