NHL Highlights | Calgary Flames vs. Buffalo Sabres – November 19, 2025

along with Anderson on the back end as the Flames go back to back. Robin skating in Buffalo. Glad you’re with us. Sabres under a little pressure here from the Flames and Ball trying to keep that going. Cadry works it down low. Sharon go back up the boards to the line. Ball once more. Oh, a heavy shot stop. Rebound is there. They score. Rasmus Anderson in back-to back games tonight. He’ll open it up in Buffalo. What great work along the wall right here. Cadri watching. They’re going to hunt this puck down now. It’s going to come to Cadri. He just quickly chips it back to ball. He pounds it on net. Now Rasmus Anderson out of the picture. He leaves his point position for the second time in this game early in the first period and the Flames capitalize. That was such a great play by Nasam Cadri to chip it backwards, open up a lane for ball shot and there is the stair once again. Azam Cadri drop for Sharon Goic. Back to Cadri. Nice little pass in front. Farby scores. Joel Farabby the Syracuse boy lights the lamp. Two nothing Calgary. Take a look. Nice short pass. Watch Cadri right there. Fake that. He’s going to go inside to the middle. Kicks it out to Sharon Govich. And a beautiful pass by Sharon Govich right to Cadbury in front. And he throws it back to the middle. Farabby just tips this one home. All three of these guys contributing on this goal. Terrific play. And dangerous pass towards Anderson who really didn’t have a chance. He was handcuffed with that puck coming right to him top of the crease. Lane’s able to divert that to the boards, but the Savers have it back. Howard sends it over. Snap shot. Colleen scores. Okay, so this is really bad clearing. Bad pass to Rasmus Anderson. Then nobody could get the hands on the puck. That’s the first long shift that the Sabres have had tonight. And then it finished off with Dalene with a beautiful shot. A little bit of a screen by Ta Thompson and Culie thought it was going club glove side. I can only tell you what I see. I’m not going to make a prediction cuz I’m only batting about 30% on these. But there is a little bit of contact. After coach’s challenge and determined that there was goalender interference, we have no goal. Okay. trying to start the middle frame with another couple of looks generated perhaps as Cadri wins the opening draw of period number two. Caval reset savers technically on the kill out of the box is done. There’s a setup and a stop by Krebs drops it back. No shot from Dene. Faked skates in Dene in front. Point blank stopped by Culie by Dalene. Throws it right out in front to Ryan Husker told me the same this morning about how he’s made all the saves he’s supposed to, but he’s made a whole bunch more in early part of this season that nobody expected. Great story both these goenders, but this one beats Kulie on a hot shot up top. Samson will get the Savers on the board. Take a look and the Sabres, you can kind of feel this happening. They create turnovers. Comes right to Samuelson and that was a wicked brister. But you can kind of feel this. The Sabres had all the energy here in the second period. And the Flames are not moving their feet as well as they were in the first. And take a look at that incredible shot by Samuelson. Some es and flows as you’d expect on the second night of backto backs. First time ever from Chicago into Buffalo for Calgary. Dene cross ice. Thompson unloads and scores. A blast from Tage Thompson continues his point streak and ties the game. Some people may say, “Well, this is from well out.” But you got to see this shot. This is just absolutely spectacular from Thompson right in his wheelhouse and post and in. That is just a perfect pass. And in fact, you know what? To me, it looked like the puck dipped even. So, not only was it a great release, extremely hard, but it dipped on him. Give me a ice cry in bad angle. Tried it anyway. And a stop by Ellis at the trapper side post. Kubo spots it as Coronado up ice. Coronado in twoon-one with Frost. Coronado shoots. Glopped down by Ellis at the top of the crease with a little help from Farabby. Ball tucks it in behind the Buffalo net. Cadri comes up, but it works to the point for Anderson. Some traffic tipped in front. Ellis the stop and he made the rebound save without the goal stick. Ellis here in the second period. Watch his work down low. They’re going to get it back to Rasmus Anderson right in the slot. Fairbye with the six of nine on the faceoffs. Won’t be able to win this one. Flames will go right after it. Quinn bats that down. Handley on it up to Hubo. Now Coronado back to Hubo. Hubo drags. Throws it across. They score. What a play by Hubedo to find Morgan Frost and Calgary swings up three-2. Sabres had num numbers back and so Jonathan Hubedo great patience a little give and go with Matt Coronado but you see Oh yeah. Okay. So on the far side Rosanne he he went to the wrong guy. There’s no question he went the defenseman already had the middle d drive. So Rosanne was too late in find their game away from home. Strength of schedule. Frames have the most difficult one as Kulie makes a couple of big left pad stops. Mloud out of the corner finds Dene in holds right through the crease and out the other side. He’s trying to hang on a bit here. Rising puck stopped by Kulie with a shoulder save off Mloud. High flip does the trick for ball chasing after it. Coleman and on Byum nearly picked the pocket. Finishes the check hard against Byum who made the play. Flames keep it in. Zaryi stood up by Cage Thompson. Loose puck between the hash marks. Now Anderson shot and tapping it in. Backlin scores. Came right out to Michael Ban and the captain has given the Flames a twogoal lead. And what relentless for check. Love it. Watch this play right there by Coleman. Knock that puck out of midair. Get it back to Rafa Anderson here. Pops rebound free to Michael Backlin. Take a look at Coleman though. As soon as a puck goes in, he’s going to watch his foot where his feet are. He was definitely aware of the blue paint and didn’t want to get caught in there. Coleman right back on it. Forch checking now to Zer. cuts to the backand saved by Ellis on a good look from Connor Zer attack for check and again it’s the back line Connor Zary he’s getting close he’s getting Thompson into the corner Timmons back around claims will be tested in the 10 minutes remaining in this game and a play up by Farabby his shot scores Joel Farabby second of the game and A big one for the Flames in Buffalo. Battle Tage Thompson. He’s going to try and get separation. He thinks that there should have been a penalty on Cadri. Rasmus Anderson just chips a puck out. Fairbye skates into it. And that’s such a hard place for a goalender to stop about 2 feet off the ice on the stick side. That’s a beautifully placed shot. But that whole thing is because of Nasm Cry. Five and a half to go. Just under that in the third period. Flames up by three. Quinn a hard shot. Stop. Rebound back to Kulie from Quinn and he’ll cover up. Ellis turned it over. Sharon Govich got there before Tuck did. Sharon go into Fabby and a stop by Ellis. Puck still loose. I would add to that. The Flames cashing in on some of their opportunities of course, but you’re right, they’ve dialed it in here and Coronado chopping wildly at it. And that goes in. Matt Coronado scores the strangest one in his career. Off the glass, off the Sabres, and in the back of the net. It is the Flames night tonight in Buffalo. All right, I saw Matt Coronado whack this one, but this is going to go in the net. So, here’s a hard shot. Comes back and Ellis has no idea where it is. And it goes off his right leg. Can see done in disbelief. You know what? If if you’re going to snap out of their streak in style, 62 the win in Buffalo tonight and the first victory in Flames Colors for Devin Culie. Oh boy. Well earned. Congratulations, Devin.

Joel Farabee scored a pair of goals, Rasmus Andersson had a goal and three points on the night, and the Calgary Flames cruised to a 6-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres.

  1. As a Sabres fan I said going into this game: Calgary is NO PUSH OVER… This same exact team was INCHES away from a playoff spot last year. Hats 🎩 off to Calgary, credit where it's due 👍 🏒

  2. Not the best effort in the 2nd, but im glad the flames could finally get some goals for Cooley to get a win..

It's Buffalo.. the ongoing dumpster fire.. but no better team to play on a back to back..

Hopefully they can refresh and come out hard against the stars and start stringing some together

    Super happy for Cooley!
