Checking in With Avalanche’s Pending RFA Jack Drury. Are Contract Talks Ongoing?

I hope so! He’s awesome, definitely don’t want to lose our Jack.
I love Jack. His joy in playing and being part of this team is an important factor in their winning record. I hope they sign him soon!
I bet they are, but I also bet both sides want to let the season play out and see how he does with a full season as 3C.
He wants the value of a 3C contract, the Avs want a bit more proof of concept he’s worth it, but if he keeps it up probably would offer some term too.
Jack’s been awesome. I kind of hate when Beds puts Drury on the dot, he wins the faceoff and has to skate to the bench. He’s earned more clock. He may not be a full time top 6, but he’s not really out of place there, either. And sometimes, the spark / chaos that he brings is what the top 6 needs, especially when they are in overpassing mode.
Please keep him. I don’t want to see a second young Drury leave this team.
He’s a perfect fit at 3C, they better be!
I think they cooked getting Necas and Jack. He has played very well so I don’t think they will pass him up. Especially since they resigned Kivi. I remember at preseason the speculation about our depth was an “issue” but our 3rd and 4th lines are scoring and creating chances.
Jack was born to play for the Avalanche, there is literally a picture of him as a baby sitting in the Stanley cup when his uncle won it with us (couldn’t find it tho).
We need Jack to raise the Stanley Cup with the AVS just like his uncle Chris!… it’s in the family!!!

We really have such a complete team. Sure there’s opportunity for upgrades here and there… but each player right now really is valuable and most are playing above their weight
I’m sure they’re talkin about it. I don’t see him wanting to leave.
Sign that man!!
They need to sign everyone and lock them up before winning the next cup cause after that they will be more likely to go for more cash and lifetime security elsewhere.
