Avalanche End Anaheim Ducks Winning Streak. Landeskog Gets a Goal That Sticks!

Uh you get the empty netters so maybe the score looks a little bit inflated but that’s fine. Uh another fourgoal game. Uh good game. I thought this was a a good entertaining game. a lot of back and forth. You knew there was going to be a lot of speed on both sides. You wanted to see what Anaheim’s got going over there and they they they look good. I think they look good, but I think this is just the ABS just being a better team. Yeah, they are a better team and they impose their will when they needed to. Um, and you know, I I hesitate to say like, oh, this thing was in hand because you never know in the sport of hockey, but um, I thought the Avalanche, you see the confidence in their game, right? Yeah. What do you think? Completely agree. I think this for the Ducks feels a lot like on the ABS. What would that have been the 17 161 17 or 17 18 season when they first made the playoffs post 48 point season and you’re young you’re still like getting into the groove of everything. You’re figuring everything out. You make the playoffs that year. Nobody really expects it. You lose a handful of games even though you’re playing really good through most of that season to teams that are also really good and just more established. That’s kind of what this felt like. but in the ABS favor this time. The AS have a little bit more of that that presence. They played with a lot of confidence. They kept mostly control of the puck looking at you McKinnon. Um but like they did a lot of things really well even though the Ducks still played a pretty good game. So that that was kind of my overall impression of that one is two good teams. One’s just an upandcomer and one is established longterm long-term winning team right now. So, yeah. Uh, my goodness, Leo Carlson is really good at hockey. Uh, draws a penalty early, gets the goal early, and I like I’m kind of thinking, oh goodness, is this going to be a game where the ABS kind of fumble their way out of out of it, but then then they took back over and got control? I was think, you know, they they they have score a goal in the first shift of the game. Yeah. You know, 28 seconds in. So, so my thinking was like, okay, like how’s Anaheim going to respond to this? Yeah. So, you know, and we went over yesterday like the the winning streak that they were on, the teams that they have been beating in this winning streak are very good teams. So, you never know with a team that’s just not like, you know, you use the word established for the Avalanche, like they’re they’re not yet. No. So, how does something like that? And I don’t know if if that has happened in in those those seven games. I don’t know if they gave up a goal at some point like the first shift the first 30 seconds of a game. So I don’t know if they’ve been battle tested when it comes to that. Um and obviously this one was on the road. So it again I don’t want to say it could have went south for them quick. But how do they respond to that and I thought they they held you know they held their own. You know they they get the they get the equalizer with Carlson. But I think where you see the big difference between the ABS and and Anaheim right now, and this will change over the course of maybe this season and seasons to come, is the playmaking abilities. So like the the you know the ABS, I looked it up on on Money Puck, they only gave up two high danger chances to Anaheim. Okay. So, like, you know, Anaheim’s got to learn how to do things like that, create better scoring opportunities for themselves. Yeah. They I think they were tied in shots on goal, right? Like 34. It was really close. Yeah. They were each above the 30 mark. Yeah. So, 32 in in that in that realm. But for Wedgewood, um I don’t like I don’t think he was really Yeah. 34 shots or No, I don’t. Let me I want to make keep saying 34 36 36 shots on goal for each, but I don’t feel like he was like so he wasn’t tested like all that. Sure. There was a couple of plays where they, you know, maybe a scrum uh in front of the net, but the ABS were winning those battles. Yes, they’re the puck out. like he he he he kind of had a pretty I hate saying this, but like a light night in terms of needing to make sprawling saves and bailing his team out and bailing the defense out. Like that didn’t happen for most of this game. No, we didn’t. there weren’t turnovers that went and actually I think this is probably a good point on the Ducks still being a little bit younger because one of the things I know we’ve mentioned a few times I’ve brought up and I take notes I feel like in almost every game early in this season is Avalanche have a turnover leads to a good opportunity pucks in the back of the net. The ABS had turnovers still tonight but the Ducks didn’t take quite the same advantage that some of the other teams the AS have played this year have. And so I think that’s kind of to your point. don’t get those high danger chances for the ducks because they’re just not quite there yet. Um, he didn’t have to make Wedgewood didn’t have to make a ton of crazy saves. He made a lot of really good saves just by being positional. And there were a couple, like you said, a couple of scrums in the front that I think were really good. I do want to give him a huge shout out and I know we’ll get to his goal in the next segment, but big shout out to Scott Wedgewood because there’s a couple of spots where uh Landy’s goal would not have been the game winner if he didn’t make a couple of saves. So, yeah, big shout out to him there as well. I appreciate him making sure the captain gets that. Yeah, he I mean he didn’t have like you said stand on his head or anything. Uh, but he got beat up in this game a little bit. Like, oh my gosh, he got he got bowled over a couple time. Well, one time was really bad and there was another time he got fall like somebody fell on top of him. Um, took a snow shower sitting on the net and like rolled off onto Wedgewood or something. It was a really strange sequence. So, so you know, he took more of a beating on on plays like that than he did, you know, uh, the pucks flinging off of him. Yeah. Um, first goalie in the league with 10 wins. Would you think that would be Scott Wedgwood uh when this season started? I don’t think anybody anybody had that one. Not for lack of talent, more just because I would have expected Blackwood to have the bulk of the games at this point. And Blackwood’s injury put Wedgewood front and center. And Wedgewood has, to his credit, really taken off with that. Right. I know one of the interviews he said he’s never really had the opportunity to be a number one goalender and he wanted to take advantage of this and show that he’s capable. Uh congratulations Scott. You have done exactly that. Yeah. I mean it’s we knew Blackwood was going to miss the beginning of the season a few weeks or something is what we were told before the season even started. Um, and I was of the mind of like, okay, well, I’m comfortable with Wedgewood in there, but as soon as Blackwood comes back, it, you know, he’s just going to get start after start after start. It’s not happening. And I don’t disagree with it. You know, Wedgewood is is playing fantastic hockey. He’s giving you the best chance to win right now. Blackwood’s going to play. Kenzie Blackwood is going to play. They’re pay paying him too much money for him to be sitting on the bench. But um he’ll get his starts and this might just be at some point during the season just hey we’re going to split it 50/50 and we’ll be we’ll be nice and and refreshed for both you guys for the playoffs. Could be a different dynamic for the playoffs goalending wise for the Avalanche. We’ll have to wait and see but you can you most times in the playoffs teams just go with the starter. Yeah. If you know if Wedgewood was playing as well he as he is, would you bench McKenzie Black? I mean, I know we got a long way to go. I don’t want to get into that conversation right now, but that’s uh it’s a fascinating topic right now and and you got to give Scott Wedgwood a ton of credit because he’s playing great. Ton of it. He has played fantastic. He’s been great. Um let’s get into Mr. Gabe Landiskog. He gets his first goal of the season that sticks. doesn’t come off the board. There he is. That that wonderful head of hair right there. Well, anybody that has hair I’m jealous of. So, uh all right, let’s get our first break and we come back. More to talk about, especially that Lance Scott goal. Uh the fourth line. Boy oh boy, were they uh they were humming. Excellent. Fantastic notch. Yep. Yeah. And uh of course, we got stats and sound checks to get to. We’ll do all that after this. First, we’re going to hear from Drip Drop. Because when you’re hydrated, everything just works better. I don’t know. Something like that. Yeah. Uh scored since the Eisenhower administration, something like that, right? I think I think they said March if I’m not mistaken, March 5th of 2022. That sounds right. It was,247 days, something like I mean just a crazy amount of time. Um, and we should have been talking about this a little while ago, but two of them came off the boards thanks to uh offsides call. No doubt on this one, but kind of funny how it it materialized. Uh, it was Sam Molinsky taking a shot. His stick snaps. Yep. And the puck just goes right to Valentus who turns around right in the house, fires a shot on net, and who’s there to pick up the rebound? Gabe Landiskcog as he’s done so many times in the past. So, uh it it’s nice that you know his first regulation goal in a while is kind of like a Gabe Landiskog style goal. Net front, clean up, rebound. Yep. Exactly. It’s I feel like this is exactly one of the things we talked about as well. We said it’s going to end up being like the he’ll get the tip in off of a Brent Burns or he’ll get the rebounds and knock it home. something like that was going to end up being his goal. And that’s exactly what happened because that’s where Gabe Landiskog plays. That’s not like either of us being Nostradamus. That’s just knowing that that’s his spot of the ice. And oh my gosh, the stadium erupted. I think the TNT broadcast spent the next 25 minutes gushing over the fact that he scored a goal. Um, they were very happy that it happened with them covering the game, which was nice that they pulled their talking points away from Leo Carlson so much, which is f like I’m fine. Like he’s he’s great. He’s up and coming up and coming. Like he’s going to be a star. Uh, but they couldn’t stop talking about him. No, they couldn’t. And for good reason. Like we talked about, he’s really good. Really great. I know. So, I get it. But yeah, it was really cool to watch it just like the entire broadcast flips. It’s a total Gabe Lannis cog fest for a good chunk of the broadcast after that. But yeah, Ballerina just explodes. You hear chance of Landy Landy even through the broadcast. So good to see him finally get that. And I got to think personally just netting that one has got to be a weight off his shoulders that’s going to make them easier moving forward. Oh yeah. Like I say all the time, it’s like a bunt. Yep. You know, like uh uh someone who’s slumping uh in baseball, lay down a bunt and sometimes that can just get things it just changes the psyche. So yeah. Uh yeah, it could. I mean, he’s he’s mentally strong. So you never know, maybe this opens the floodgate for him. But I think that got that goal was really timely for the Avalanche, too, because I I didn’t love their second period. I thought Anaheim at Worth was finding their stride. I think the ice was tilted a little bit in their favor. Um, and I was waiting for something to to just ignite the the abs. Um, and you had him like before that goal was scored, Lannisagi threw a couple hits, not ones that were like open ice, laid a guide out, lay a guy out, but they were up against the boards and just nice solid hits. And you did hear like, you know, like a like a oo from the crowd like a couple times he did that and then you know they they had that possession. Um and then he gets that goal and I was like oh man that that’s what they they needed it. They needed at that time you know they were still in in in the lead but it could have changed hands during that second period. And I thought like those were the things we talked about it before too that he has been doing to to kind of just get the ignite this team. So it was that goal and it was uh you know the fourth line as well which we’ll get to in a minute. But um there there was that I want to talk about that uh goalie interference penalty. It was on Jackson Lome and that power play following that. When we talk about a bad power play, that’s what we’re talking about. And I hear Yeah, that was horrible. Like that was You hear a lot of people just looking at the numbers and like the outcome and just saying like the power play is terrible. Well, in terms of like, you know, them scoring goals, yes, it it it’s bad. It hasn’t it hasn’t looked good because they’re not getting goals, but the power play itself is looking good. But that one, if if the power play was doing that, power play after power play, game after game, we would be sitting here saying like, “Okay, uh maybe Dave Hackl has to go already.” But like that is not like So we don’t we don’t harp on the power play looking bad that much because it doesn’t. Yeah. But if it looked like that all the time, we would. That one looked hideous. I Yeah, I had notes on that one. My first the first power play, the note that I took was power play looked good, had shots, dostall pretty much shut him down. Like I thought the first power play that they had was a great chance and they just could not get it past Doall. Power play two, the only note I have is this looks bad. It did. And then yeah, 0 for two on the power with that one being over zero shots on that second power play. And I agree, it did kind of give you that feeling of like a momentum, not shift entirely, but definitely starting to leave the ABS favor. Yeah. And that Gabe Lamuscott goal comes just a little bit after that. Uh what four minute two minutes after the power play expires. Yeah. So, it’s it really is like you said, it’s a very timely goal to be able to knock that in because I think from that point on it went just sort of abs in control. It did. Yes. Yes. Like that that’s that’s was my thinking too. Um and that came from Yeah. I mean, how can you not get excited for a Gabe Landiscott goal? Yep. Um, and then just kind of use that as momentum going forward. And you can see it energizes the team, energizes the crowd. Everybody gets just so pumped for the captain scoring. It it absolutely turned that around. And and one more time, shout out Scott Wedgewood for keeping Landisk’s goal as the gamewinner because you just he had to do it. I feel like he’s sitting in the crease going, “Nobody’s getting one past me here because Landy or gets this. This is Landis.” Yep. Um and that fourth line was was great in this game. Um, and I I mean you you get Parker Kelly gets the the empty netter at the end and it was almost like if anybody was so deserving to get a goal in this game. Uh, you know, empty netter or otherwise, it was Parker Kelly. played a great great game and it was just nice for him to get guys like him, you know, the the hardworking guys, fourth line guys um that don’t get goals aren’t, you know, on the Nathan McKinnon level or who is but um just just a a nail in the coffin obviously and for him to get it after just a hard working game is just is nice too. That was another one of my notes, too, is Kelly deserved the empty net goal, not based on the empty net goal itself, but his play leading up to it. Like, that felt like the hockey gods aligning to make sure he was the one there to knock that one in because he had a monster game. He was all over the place. It felt like he was creating opportunities. He was playing fantastic. And Brinley again, like the kid gets a contract today, an extension, two-year extension, and uh just pops out and decides, I’m going to even show up what I’ve been doing or at least try to. Uh he doesn’t get the goal, any goal today, but man, he again, just look, he’s so fast. He’s such a shoot mentality. Such a shooter mentality. He’s going to be so fun to keep watching. I we say it I feel like after every episode right now, but it’s true. He is so good. Yeah. We’ll talk more about his contract uh tomorrow’s episode. Yeah. Um but Parker Kelly led the team in in uh shots on goal, I should say. Five. Yeah, Parker Kelly had five shots on the goal in this game. Yes, that’s more that’s more than uh Nathan McKinnon. Um he was out there doing doing work like Yeah. I mean he knew Yeah. He was he was amped. Uh according to natural statre that line of Gavin Brinley, Bartikov, and uh Kelly had a 16-1 Corsy4 Corsy against rating. Nice. I don’t know if that’s maybe I should check that in the morning, see if that’s an error, but that is crazy good. So, you know, that that’s a 90 Well, round it up. 93% expected goals four percentage. That’s outrageous for a fourth line. That’s outrageous for any line. uh for a fourth line 16 to4 uh to against that. That’s that’s exceptional. Exceptional. Yeah. So that is wild. That’s crazy. Um all right, let’s get a final break in here and then when Oh, and by the way, just seeing this now, the ABS have reassigned Jackan to the Eagles. So I thought he had a pretty good game today. I thought he had a very good game. That’s got to mean uh Sam Gerard because he was in a full contact jersey. So that’s got to mean his return is this next game on Thursday. Eminent. Yeah. But uh I thought I did. I thought he played well. So it’s nice to know you can bring him up uh if you need to. And he can he can put up some minutes. So that was good. Agreed. Um all right, let’s get our last break in. We’ll do uh some some stats and uh some sound checks and hear from our subtext people as well. And I do want to mention that Martin Nes uh penalty not penalty at the end of the game just because we’ll bring it up. We’ll do that next. All right, let’s hear from FanDuel. The NBA is back. There’s no better place to get in on the action than of course FanDuel, the official sports betting partner of the NBA. And even if you miss the start of a game or want to ride the hot hand, FanDuel has live bets on everything from who will score next to fourth quarter comebacks. Plus, you can even combine your live bets into a same game parlay for a shot at a bigger payout. Uh how the Nuggets looking? You’re my Nuggets go-to. Uh last I saw they were up going into the half. Joker’s well on his way to another triple double and yeah, they’re still just rolling. Like Yeah, this is Well, like you said, are they at home? No, the ABS played at home tonight. Oh, duh. What the heck? Yeah. No, they’re playing uh Sacramento, the Kings in Sacramento today. Where I was going with that was the home uh which which happened anyway because a lot of them Yep. Yeah. So, uh that that still holds true. And uh right now, FanDuel’s giving new customers $300 in bonus bets when your first $5 bet wins. You can throw that on, of course, the Avalanche at home uh or when the Nuggets are playing at home at the same exact time. Uh, so head over to fanuel.com to sign up and play your game with FanDuel, the official sports betting partner of the NBA. I know I know the crew that switches between the ice and the court are pretty quick. I don’t think they’re that fast. Oh, man. All right. So, yeah, I just wanted to bring up that that Martin Houses. Uh, it was it was I mean I I don’t want to call it a high stick because it wasn’t um you know he the thing that was killing me was the TNT replay just kept showing it in slow motion. Don’t show it in slow motion. You see how quick this game is and it’s a follow through. There is no way you you can you can follow through and then react and make another move for a high stick in a half a second. Yeah. And I thought Joel Quinnville like going ape, you know what, like he was on the sideline like fine. Like you you want to try to get that to be a penalty especially for because he was bleeding. So it would been a 4-minute. They call a penalty on the aftermath of him grabbing a mask or something which I didn’t see. So yeah, I couldn’t hear over TNT’s broadcast on what the actual penalty was. I guess it’s roughing. I’m not sure how that works when it feels like four Ducks players converge on Marty Nos, right? And he’s just like I don’t even feel like he did anything to him. I’m not sure where that came from. Yeah, that one legitimately to me and I think it was ABS fam on Twitter put out like this felt like the referees went we have to call something with how much is on the ice and so this is what we’re going to call. I agree. I don’t think you necessarily really have to, but I that’s the only thing I can figure is they felt the need to call some kind of penalty cuz the abs are up and the guy’s bleeding apparently a bunch of stitches. It looks It sounds bad. It looked bad and and hope it’s okay. Yeah, of course. But like you watch that play and they finally did show it in in regular speed after like three minutes and dozens of times showing it in slow motion and like you watch it. It’s a follow through. He he he went to throw the puck into the zone and I don’t remember who it was on the Ducks runs into his stick from that follow through. There’s no reaction time. There was zero reaction time to to throw that puck in the net and then adjust your stick to see where that guy’s coming at you to hit him with a high stick. It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. So, um and they kept saying it on the broadcast like, “Oh, he he made a double move and readjusted.” No, he didn’t. It Martin Nes will have should join the the ball arena crew to switch the from the ice to the to the hardwood because his are the best. Yeah. If if he can do that. So, uh, I I just whatever that is what it is. So, um, all right, I want to bring up the hockey stat card as well. Um, interesting thing here. I mean, it overall looks good. You have those three purple lines going to the left and that is team defense and that is your top line. Yeah. Between Nathan McKinnon, Tory Lechin, and Martin Nes all going to the left. So, uh, but other than that, uh, pretty good game all around here for the AB. Can’t get Saminsky again at the top of that. He has been at the top of these cards pretty often this season, it feels like, and just playing really well. Yeah, he was uh his game score was 2.47. Um, your your top let me see. Okay, your top three guys or top three guys for the entire game actually. Molinsky with 2.47, Manson at 2.07, 07 and then Parker Kelly at 1.78. So, you know that that’s you’re going to have all a bunch of games where Nathan McKinnon’s at the top and Kale Mar is at the top. Um but when guys like that can be, you know, your your top three guys, um that just shows you that your depth is uh well intact, right? Agreed. So, good game for them. Um yeah, go ahead. Real quick, hopefully Val is okay. I didn’t see what the injury was. I know he left the ice. He went down the bench or left the bench, went down to the locker room. Uh I think Darren McKe Dmac from Altitude put that the uh X-ray room was in use when the Ducks player needed to get stitches. I got to assume it was Val. I don’t know, but hope he’s on because he’s I mean he was still up there on that card and he’s been a huge impact on this team again this season. So, yeah, let’s Yeah, we’ll wait and see what we what I hear on that, but All right, hopefully he’s all good. Absolutely. Um All right, so over on subtext, we’ll hear from a few subtext people, then get to our sound check. Uh Christina was at the game. Looks like she had really good seats, too. Sent a picture where her seats were. So, uh said Wedgie took a beating that game. Groin, leg, and ice shavings to the eye. Uh played a great game, though. Landy finally gets a goal. Uh, like I said, she was there for the game. First playoff game back, goal back, and now his first regular season go. Oh, she was at that game, too. That’s She was at the playoff game where he scored. Oh, nice. So, Christina, go to all these games, right? You got to be there. I don’t It doesn’t cost that much money. Uh, because if you’re there, Landisk is um said the crowd was loud and electric. A few lapses here and there, but for the most part played a great game. Uh, duck was on the menu and the boys served it up. Piping hot. Oh, Christina, she’s I like it. She’s throwing throwing barbs here. Love it. Uh, Var for Landy. He’s doing the immigrant song by Led Zeppelin. All right. I mean, all right. I’ll I’ll I’ll allow it. Uh, I wish his last snipe counted, but I’ll take this one. Uh, he’ll have four goals in November is what? Okay. Hey, I I tend to agree. I think this opens the floodgates. Yep. Yep. Um, okay. Was that the game, too? Sweet. What a blast. They said Wedgewood is making a serious case for the starter. Gabe finally gets one and the boys roll on. Um, Katie has just threw out the sound check. Dangerous by Roxet. Okay. And then puts a Swedish flag. Oh, yeah. Isn’t Isn’t that band Roxet? They’re Swedish. Swedish. I’m pretty sure they are. You want to look that up on me? I’m Yeah. I mean, it makes sense. They They I remember their videos. They look Swedish. Whatever that tracks Swedish look like other than blond. The image here definitely right. That gives All right. You came out of Sweden in the late 80s. There we go. Uh, Adam says, “Not going to lie, I keep expecting the ABS to have a stinker. I feel like they’re due for one, and yet they continue to plow forward through everyone. They’re fun to watch right now.” Uh, sound check for Adam’s queen. Don’t stop me now. I like it. You know, it’s it’s true. Like, you keep saying like, “Okay, well, what what is going to be the stinker?” Um, it’s tough to predict that, but when you just play so many games that you’re playing well, uh, you just maybe just anticipating one where you take the foot off a break a little bit. I don’t know if this team is built that way. Uh, I think, you know, last year is going to carry over for mo this entire season, how how how last year ended up. Um, that doesn’t mean you’re not going to have a stinker. Of course, you are. It’s just tough to predict when they come. Yeah. So that is true. Yep. Um Heather, oh I love this. Uh due to the actions of Vanuskin, the Gabe Landiskaga goal is a good goal. Uh but really I think everyone is expecting a tighter game. Any update on Chusin leaving the ice? No, obviously just I haven’t seen anything yet. Yeah, I’ll scroll real quick if you got another one. See if I can find something. Yeah. Um, and maybe I know, like I said, we’re doing this right after the game, so who knows if uh Bedar met the press yet, but I’m sure he might not. My guess is we really don’t even have an answer to it. So, we’ll see. Uh, Richard said uh that he called the Landisk getting his first goal. It wasn’t an empty netter, but he got it. Well fought game. So, I don’t blame you saying it could have been. That’s what we were saying. We said, “Hey, empty netter. Goals a goal.” JD Landy finally got a goal. Got a goal to stick in Madam Battle axe. Uh this one did not disappoint first. Hats off to Anaheim. Uh they’re really playing amazing right now, but she called it as well. Landiskog would score and would get four goals. So Madame Battleax and uh Var like of the same mind. Very similar. I wonder do they just have is it one person and they just put two accounts in here and they’re just commenting. Uh please let’s have a moment to just appreciate Wedgie. Uh considering everything this is what we have needed the abs to do. Just a great game and because it’s Veterans Day. Yep. And uh Madame Battleax is an Army wife put in Lenny Kravitz American Woman in there for uh Okay. Very well done. Yes, I can dig it. Um, according to Bailey Curtis, Jesse Montano, Evan Raul, Ryan O’Hara, basically everybody, uh, Bednar said in postgame that he will be evaluated tomorrow and we don’t know, but it is a lower body injury. Okay. All right. Kind of what you expect right after the game. I don’t they’re not really gonna give you a unless it’s like a surefire right broken thing or something. Even then with with Bednar it’ll be uh you know he’s weak to weak. Right. Right. Yeah. They’re very vague which is their right to do. So um all right let’s wrap this thing up with sound checks of our own and that’s where we come up with songs that summarize the most recent game. put these songs up on a playlist over on Spotify and YouTube Music. You search for LOA soundcheck volume number five is what these songs go on. What do you have for this one, sir? I am going with a Colorado band uh Chilean uh influenced music based out of Denver. Band’s called Kiltro. And the song I’m choosing is Mikapitan. I love it. All of that just fits. It’s great. Look, Chilean music. Yeah. What is Chilean? Like what is they’re wicked? Uh yeah, it’s like get kind of a Spanishy guitar vibe. Um percussion that kind of Yeah, some of that kind of percussiony. Um I saw them at a music fest in Denver a few years back and have just they’ve stuck with me. All right. So, check check out that particular song and then go listen to the rest of them because they are deep. Wicked. Yep. Digging deep. Uh I’m not going that deep uh at all. The band that I have we’ve all heard of and I’m I’m gonna give I’m going to do a sound check where I give credit to the other team for for once. Not that I think like like Anaheim played like a fant I thought they played a good game. Um I think even over on on uh the money puck uh deserved to win meter. I think the avalanche were like 75% to win. Yeah, it was it was pretty hard and hard. But but you can see where Anaheim is headed and I think you have to be impressed. I think they’re going to be dangerous for years to come. Um that’s why I’m going with the Who and because they’re such a young team going with the kids are all right. Nice. So, I’ll give you I’ll give you some credit here, Anaheim, because I feel like you’ve you’ve done it the right way. You’ve drafted well. You’ve signed uh did some good solid signings uh in trades, more trades really, than free agent signings. But, um they’re going to be a problem. They’re going to be a problem for years to come. And when they have a team as young as they are, uh they’re they’re on the right path. So, um I think we should enjoy the wins over Anaheim while we can because they’re going to be more difficult and more difficult uh as the games and years go on. So, 100%. That’s where I’m at. So, all right. And with that, we’re going to wrap this thing up. So, uh Zach and I will be back tomorrow. Yes, we’ll talk about that Gavin Brinley extension. Um and I’m sure we’ll have maybe more of an update with Von Shuskin. We talked about that on tomorrow’s episode. So, make sure to tune in to that one. But for this one, thank you for tuning in, making it your first listen of the day. Always appreciated. He’s Mr. Zack Pearson. I am Chris Meli. This is the Lockdown Avalanche podcast. 1. if martys high stick doesnt get called off we go down 2men cause of his roughing penalty jesus that would of been bad,and the call was he grabbed a ducks players visor i guess .

  2. its always eddie O on the TNT broadcast just talking for no reason the guy wont shut up lol during that "high stick" he kept going on and on like he was talking to the refs and trying to influences the call lol like how many times did he say its not a follow threw he adjusted smh

  3. I actually thought the Avs weren't great last night. Very sloppy at times and seemed like they turned the puck over quite a bit. That said, good teams find ways to win on there worst nights.

  4. landy has been great all season, goals or no. love to see him get one though.

i gotta say his skating is looking good, i think by the end of the season we are going to be seeing landy looking a lot like his old self, which i never though was gonna be a thing.

  5. I think we are going to hear a lot of talk about the young guys throughout the league all season. So many of them are playing really good. It isnt bedard as a rookie unearned hype, but rather hype about what they are all actively doing right now (bedard included)

  6. 27:19 I was at the game and after marty's "high stick" there were definetly some ducks players swarming and chirping at him. it looked like he gave one of them a glove to the face from my perspective, not sure if they showed that on the broadcast. it seemed like the refs needed to call something so that the game didn't get out of hand
