Popular opinion? I want these to be the alternative jerseys

  2. Absolutely not a popular opinion lol. I think I am the only one in the world that has positive opinions of these jerseys. Even if we won that game I think most people wouldn’t like it.

    I once saw a variant of this jersey that was pretty nice, I think it made the entire section below the orange chest stripe blue. 

    I personally like it though. There are certain players that I think “match” certain jerseys well and I think this is a good one for some players.

    EDIT: Also I gotta say the coach gear for these jerseys was sick. I want that sweatshirt or whatever that Roy was wearing:

  5. Do we have a schedule for the alternate jerseys? Doesn’t look like we have one on the team website. Would like to see either the fisherman or NY jersey for a couple games

  6. Contrary to another comment here, if they didn’t blow that game, this jersey would be an all-timer. But they did. And it isn’t. But I accept that extreme pain and PTSD is part of the fandom.

  9. Now that we have Darche, and more marketing and creativity in the front office, I’d like an actual nicely designed 3rd jersey. I love the ones I’m seeing around the league like the Redwings and Oilers. I’d hope for something better than this. I’m dying to buy a Schaefer jersey and almost pulled the trigger on the cancer night ones, but decided to wait. I’m really hoping we get a good design.

  10. Can we just wear the reverse retro navy blues as our alternate? We actually won with those on and they look slick.

  12. The Islanders current alternates are really clean but I’m ready for a new, more creative take on it. I’m shocked the fisherman retros did not stick around personally

  14. My take is they work better as a sweater than a jersey. I generally like the design but I think it looks too collegiate for an NHL team.

    The killer to me though is how awful that game was.

  16. I often think that when they make jerseys like this one they are not for me and they are trying to hit different demographics. My 1st take was I didn’t like it, It grew on me. Way better than the Islanders across the front black jersey.

  20. I want the navy blue with the og logo that they wore during the pandemic to be the primaries

  21. I was very unimpressed when these were released, but then having the added trauma of watching the Isles blow a multi-goal lead on national TV to the #$%&ing Rangers really killed any chance of me ever wanting one.
