A few weeks without the teams best shot creators. I really think this is a good opportunity for guys like Coffey Sims and Harris to get their hands dirty.
In my personal opinion Bobby should start and King Kuz should lead the bench mob. . I personally dont think the seasons over. Not by a long shot. It really comes down to making the playoffs relatively healthy.
Then comes the most glaring obstacle to overcome on the season as a whole. Those damn dirty scumbag refs. I'm intelligent enough to know that while some conspiracy theories are simply not true, some are. Watching this team night and night out. Its so painfully obvious that Giannis is simply treated differently then any other player. Guys like Shai, Brunson, Luka, and LeBron to name a few get a friendly whistle, meanwhile Giannis is getting fucking checked like theyre playing ice hockey out there and zebras are doing their best Ray Charles impression, night in and night out. Wtf is that? We all know the prevailing theory.
Regardless, something has to change. What's sad is that if Giannis flailed wildly every time he felt a defender graze him. He might get those whistles. So is that what Silver and the NBA want(aside from GA out of MKE)? More flopping?? The NBA wants what?! Giannis disingenuously flopping around, jerking and contorting his body, feigning as if he was just hit with a .50 caliber bullet like these other guys?
Thats what I love about Giannis tho, is that he doesnt do that stuff. His approach is more old school like the 90s/2000s era. He doesnt do that whole clown routine and prides himself on playing fast hard and most importantly with integrity. Regardless tho something has to change. If I was Bucks F.O. I'd be filling the NBAs office with complaints. I'd have personal writing them daily. What do you think?

Good news is KPJ and GA come back around the same time. Hopefully we’ll get a nice moral boost if we can stay afloat these next couple weeks. If we go 4-4 next 8 games I’m happy but realistically looking at the schedule I’m thinking 3-5. We play a couple teams coming off a B2B so at least that’s in our favor
I love watching non-Giannis games, it because I hate Giannis, but because it exposes so many things all at once: is coaching gonna figure something out, who’s minutes should be cut/increased, and who’s gonna step. I hope Sims gets more minutes, because the team needs more defense rebounding versus scoring. Maybe even Nance gets minutes. Gotta start taking minutes away for shit play.
I think they aren’t called because they are basically told to let the Freakshow go on. It’s like a circus strong man. How many defenders can he dunk on? Will the Freak survive the 4 challengers? Or will the get the better of him?
That’s what I always picture. Like a caged freak of nature being forced to fight for his keep. I think they believe the performance is theatrical and people enjoy seeing those physical feats generating more viewership & therefore they don’t call it.
The locked on bucks podcast from today said the bucks play like a 58 win team with Giannis, and a 14 win team without him. That is about where my expectations are right now.
Right where expected. On pace for a 44-ish win season. Showing flashes of incredible offense and lockdown defense, needing chemistry and consistency. Doc leaving some tactics and game-to-game game planning on the table.
.500 would make me happy but I’d be surprised if they eeked out more than 3 wins in the next 8. This is a .500 team with Giannis and a bad team without him. Maybe they’ll shock us but given Docs inability to shape the offense when Giannis isn’t in I’m not expecting much.
I’m not actually feeling too bad. This is the first time in a while that we’ve had a team that I’m actually excited to watch without Giannis. Let’s see what Doc can do with the guys that we’ve got, you know? Maybe it turns out Rollins just needed an opportunity and he ends up averaging 25-30 over this stretch. Sure it’s optimistic, but I can hope. Without Giannis, AJ, Gary and Cole have to step up as scorers too, and I’m excited to see them hopefully take the bull by the horns from the three-point line. My prediction is we’ll be running Rollins first option hoops until Giannis gets back, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. We’ll see how he does against Maxey and Cade these next couple games.

This team needs to figure out how to at least be somewhat competent rebounding the basketball with Giannis, let alone now, without. I could see Andre Drummond having 17-20 rebounds against us. Especially if Embiid is still out. The second chance opportunities opposing teams are getting is truly maddening. Couple that with averaging nearly 15 turnovers per game, is not a recipe for success.
The Bucks as a whole needed these few days off to catch their breath. Their schedule as also been a tad brutal the number of b2b and playing 7 game in 10 in days. A lot of that type of crap and how a bunch of the games are organized seem.moronic 2 away game that are b2b one day off fly home play a Team from Houston Texas, day off then following day fly TO Texas to play Dallas. 2 Days wow shocker on the second day off North Carolina, day off fly back home for a set of b2b first one home rematch with North Carolina second one if the 2
b2b we fly to L.A. a prime time game where L.A. is coming off 3 days rest….
Like WTF MOST other teams schedules don’t seem this poorly organized and dysfunctional maximum jet lag and minimal comfortable sleep or practice just rush rush rush.
With every team’s strategy being limit as many easy buckets as they can, so no easy buckets for Giannis MAKE the refs blow their whistle and decide. Hell but the ref want to TRY and call the game in a balanced way or maybe with the home team having a slight home court advantage.
Not with Giannis. It’s worst than with Shaq back in the day at least back then team and ref would KNOW okay the opposing teams whole or partial game plan is Hacking Shaq if he gets the ball within a certain close in area no easy bucket force the bad average Free Throw Shooter to Shoot Free Throws. Okay ref called the fouls certain team would literally employ at the endof their benches an extra big just to soak up fouls on Shaq.
In today’s day-and-age in the modern NBA some refs just don’t want to hear ANY thing from either team about their gameplan or strategy. Also opposition teams don’t WANT to tell the refs nowadays anyways even if it wouldnmade their everyones job easier that, “Hey, our gameplan is no easy buckets, so foul foul foul Giannis, force him to shoot free throws as a part of a Bucks win condition for the game. It’s just a Giannis thing either opponent know that the Bucks team just aren’t that great overall shooting from charity stripe certain.opposing team use that to their advantage and make it they put it in both ways. In the ref hand and mind on whether to call foul or not… While also making it so we end up beating ourselves or have certain winnable games all of a sudden were getting blown out of the waters and the opponent’s lead just Poof! Wide open due to say Kuz missing a FT here, a pair of misses in a row by Bobby there, two by GTJ going 1/2 twice in a short window. This is just a hypothetical example I’ll say this all our missed FT sneaky in certain games or at certain time it.game way closer than they ever needed to be. Where-in the same quarter the Bucks actual get stsrt getting a few whistles go their way but the end up missing a couple here.one there and to.even the players that miss them, rushed not focus or its just a whatever, all happening in the 3rd. That’s the difference of going to the game late and you try sneaking in only to told no dice outside.the doors or by security no freebie for you that gamenight and youd would have made it in right after the 3rd for an epic 4th quarter showdown with then 4th quarter starting us done at home 89 to 94 compared to being able to sneak right by security if I would need to as normies.as leaving way to early giving up their seat and ticket to me. The game too starting in the 4th with it the score though at 89 to 99 and most of both teams starter arent playing, and half about the 2nd unit player arent either this game is a match up of each team playing three 2nd unit NBA players the rest end of the bench guya and 2-way contract dudes playing the 4th.
