Kurt Warner- “There’s no guarantee that if you get rid of a good one, you’ll get a great one”

Edited because my Analogy isn’t precise enough:
You can’t win if you don’t play.
We can’t win currently, so we must play.
Okay but suppose we get rid of one that doesn’t care because he can snipe in a video game, what are the odds we find one that gives a damn about football?
sign me up for 7 more years of playoff free football to keep a fringe good one. who needs to be able to pass from the pocket, when they once had elite athleticism but now terrified of running and getting hurt.
This time it’ll be different though. Right? And if not this time, then next time or the time after that or the time after that or…
I absolutely fucking hate this logic. Yes. We could draft Josh Rosen. But we could also draft Josh Allen. Between Rosen, Kyler, and Allen, you need Allen to be great. The goal isn’t to go 9-8.
Don’t let that stop you from looking.
The reason why this is even really a debate is because we have already endured 3 rebuilds in the last decade and have had significant failures in the draft during that time.
I honestly don’t care what we do. We are fucked in the short term either way. The only real way to come out of this with some hope is to fire off a trade for a good starting caliber QB, but even then there aren’t really any amazing options.
Basically, we are perpetually fucked and that is our MO
The Cardinal’s fan credo: “It could always be worse, and it probably will be.”
This is Kurt’s way of saying the Cardinals are a bottom tier franchise and aren’t capable of helping a QB reach his potential. I have very little faith in Kyler ever being a top 15 QB but I have less confidence in Monti hiring the right staff that will develop whichever QB falls to them in the draft.
He’s right but you can still look for guys who might replace him or give him competition at least. I don’t trust the organization, however.
There’s a guarantee that as long as Michael Bidwill owns this team, we will spend eternity circling the bottom of the toilet bowl.
The one time monti drafted a QB It was Clayton tune who didn’t even show a sliver of upside and was one the worst QBs I’ve ever seen granted it was in the 5th round but still 😂😂
who’s the good one?
Scared money don’t make none. Gotta make moves with risk involved.
Absolute shit logic that only Arizona sports fans are dumb enough to think.
Kyler isn’t a good qb. He’s an average qb on an awful contract.
Eagles got rid of a good qb in Wentz and won a Super Bowl.
Chiefs got ride of a good qb in smith and won super bowls
Rams got rid of a good qb in Goff and won a Super Bowl
Hell the Patriots got rid of a good qb in Bledsoe and won super bowls
