    He blots out the Sun, and world class talent, too!

  6. Oh man, big respect. If that’s where you want to live and where you want your family to be, go with it. Jumping ship to get a Cup (or another Cup in his case) isn’t the be-all-to-end-all.

  7. Sidney, Evgeni and Kris have been a great trio for the Penguins. It would be hard to leave the comfort of that.

  13. As much as I was never a fan of Gino. You can’t argue with what he’s done during his career. And there’s a certain level of class that comes with saying this is where I’ve been for my whole career and this is where I’m gonna finish.

  15. Pittsburgh sports writers will hear this and write: “It has never been clearer that Evgeni Malkin wants to go the route of Brad Marchand and be traded to a contender this year, ending his Pittsburgh legacy”.

  16. Fucking right Geno. Habs fan for life but looking at the last couple decades Geno Sid and Letang those are some genuine legends and they are still really fucking good hockey players.

  18. Stamkos said the same thing of Tampa. Entering into the final year of his contract and no negotiations, it was obvious there were going to be problems in the off-season. I was sad to see him go, but Guentzel has been very good for us and I know it had to be hard for Pittsburgh to see him go too.

  19. With the awards and cups they have won. There is no reason to go to another team this late in their career.

  25. Penguin’s fans, I hope you know that when everyone talks about trading your players, it’s cause we are all secretly jealous. I’m glad we got to have Fluery here in MN, and I’ll be very happy seeing him likely become the first player in the HOF to have played for the Wild.

  27. People trying to drive Crosby and Malkin out of Pittsburgh are freakin annoying, they’ve said multiple times, they want to end their careers with the Pens, stop harassing them, they’re not going anywhere!

  30. I’m mad at myself for disliking the Penguins as a teen and young adult. Class act players, cool city, respectable fans, and amazing history. It’s going to be a sad day when all the core players retire.

  34. I guess he should be willing to take a deep pay cut then if he loves it that much and wants to stay there.
