Zac Taylor Press Conference – November 16

[Music] working like crazy, talking like you’re crazy. It’s just got to show up. Just tough. I mean, their defense did a great job. You have to give them credit. They’re well coached. They have great players. Um, you know, we we had some some drives there in the first half. We weren’t backed up, per se, but, you know, – 10, -15. Um, felt like we were working our way out of that thing and you just kind of stall out of midfield and so just didn’t sustain it, didn’t get the explosive plays we we’d like to get. And that’s, you know, that’s that’s a credit to them. That’s that’s how they played us. And um they were going to go make us go the length of the field and we just weren’t able to do that first half outside that first drive. [Music] Yeah. Because we we had them behind the sticks plenty of times, you know, and I think that was it was great, you know, for our guys to do that and and some opportunities to take advantage of and and so then when they convert Yeah. that that takes the wind out of you a little bit. Just three catches for 30. kind of Yeah, they again I don’t I don’t think we we were ever in a tremendous rhythm in any facet. Um and and you have to credit them, you know, they they had a great plan. They played well. Um at times we found some momentum and just it wasn’t enough of that to to go out and score enough points to win the game. You credit Chase for keeping us cool there when it Yeah. Yeah. I mean, these guys are in emotional matchups. We all know that there there’s a lot at stake for teams. There’s a lot at stake for these individuals. Um, it’s competitive. When when you got great players going against great players, it’s going to be emotional at times. And Jamar’s always done an excellent job of of controlling what he can control and and so I respect that about him. You said Pittsburgh tackled better. That’s a big reason why they were able to win. Feels like every week we ask you about tackling. Is it to a point where you guys have brought it up in practice so much and talked about it so much after games that you might need to just make some personnel changes to see if that can help tackling? I think this might have been what you’re talking about with Charlie here, but on on the Jaylen Ramsey objection like he was obviously the only one objective, were you comfortable with how you guys? I have no idea. I I didn’t see any of it. I I got the worst view in the house. So I again, they didn’t call us for anything. So I’m proud of our guys. I I have I have the worst seat in the house. No idea. How frustrating is it to be three and seven through 10 games last year? Kind of similar record this point of year, you know, given a hot and just being unable to capitalize on how frustrating is that right now. Yeah, you feel them. You feel all the losses. They they you feel them all. They they eat at you all. Um you know, we’re working we’re working like crazy to make sure that this doesn’t happen. Um it happened today. It’s disappointing. Our option is to come back tomorrow and keep fighting and find a way to get a win. And we got a red hot team coming in here. Um and so what that’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to do everything we can to clean this up, correct the mistakes, get back to work, and fight another week. and find a way to get a win. Message to your team, Zack? Same. Just what I just said. Same thing. Do you feel like it was maybe a missed opportunity, especially with Joe Windows opening, just to kind of tighten things in the AFC North? Of course. You know, it’s we were our goal is to be three and0 in the division, you know, coming out of this game and that’s that’s not how it played out. What’s kind of ahead of you now? You said this was a big win that you guys needed. Where do you go from here? New England. I mean, it’s simple. find a way to scratch and claw and get a win and get the feeling we had back three weeks ago when we beat Pittsburgh, you know, and um gave us a good opportunity and and so that’s where we’re back to. We’re back to just find a way to get a win against New England and try to capitalize from it. That is our only option right now. Okay. Thank you all. Thanks, sir.

  1. Zac Taylor is absolutely trash! This guy has no clue. Glorified Offensive Coordinator who’s the BIGGEST PARASITE of a HC in the NFL. What is he even doing here.

  2. What kind of presentation is this? Is that a funeral dirge playing in the background? What's with the weird gray filter? I thought Zac had it figured out, but he completely went away from what was working. If I'm joe Burrow, I let them know tomorrow that my toe still hurts and I'm not coming back this season. Why come back less than 100 percent and have some guy who goes past Orlando Brown like he's not even there and puts what this time may be a career ending hit on him? It's time to embarrass this organization the way they embarrass us each and every week, and have the national media cover how an NFL team got to the point of playing in an empty stadium. It's the only leverage we have. Stay home until this bunch is sent packing.

  3. Can he come up with something new to say? He says the same damn thing every week. This dude better lose his job along with Al Golden after week 18 at the very least or the front office is going to feel it in their pockets Come 2026. Too many fans are sick of mediocre. I doubt Tobin gets fired he’s Mike Browns, Katie’s and Troy’s puppet. If they don’t realize the window is shutting quick and will be completely shut if they keep this same staff then they’re the most incompetent FO not only in the NFL but sports period.

  4. Why the music? Btw, as a Steelers fan, I HAD a rivalry-hated respect towards Ja’Marr Chase… until today. He’s a remarkable athlete! But spitting on another human being…any human being, is absolutely disgusting and despicable. That act changes a person’s perspective towards the accused. I can never give anyone the same respect prior to that act. Ja’Marr went too far and he (and anyone else who does that) will never have the same respect prior to. It’s unfortunate because he’s an awesome player.

  5. Zac is fond of saying that everything outside their building (meaning anything you or I have to say) is "noise." Fine. Let's show them what it's like to play in silence. Stay home everybody! Just imagine that visual and the coverage, and the embarrassment that comes with that, of an empty stadium. Don't sell your tickets to the opposition fans. You've spent that money, consider it gone. All of this complaining has no effect. Vote with your feet. Stay home. It's the only leverage you have.

  6. Going for 2 was the first bad call of many bad play calls. But it was the inability of our defense to get into the Steelers backfield and our tackling failures that gave the Steelers the W.
Fire Taylor and Tobin…..but especially Tobin.

  7. It didn't help by firing Anarumo did it. Defense is worse than last year and Anarumo is doing well beyond expectations at Indianapolis. Should tell you something about owners on down about this organization. They don't care. It's a shame players like Burrow, Chase, Higgins are wasting time there.

  8. This was a great game at first, Jamar did the vet move to get us in the red zone 6-10 if we scored we could’ve did something but the Steelers made the best mid season trade for Kyle Duggar & jabril. We just gotta finish hard. It’ll be tough. If not just draft defense & another guard
