“Lange, a Lee’s Summit West grad, was DFA’d by the Tigers earlier this week & is under club control through 2028. He spent most of the season on the IL after lat surgery. Notched 26 saves for Detroit in ‘23.”

  1. Man, do I love this.

As long as he can get healthy, I have faith that Sweeney will restore his powers and make him another force in the pen.

  2. Cool cool cool cool….i like the signing however….ummm bats….outfield….runs production….you know things we really need need….

  3. Love it. The ‘pen is already a strength and now we’re building with depth. Such high upside for both the Royals and Lange himself. He’s got good stuff already so with the Royals pitching lab I’m excited

  4. still has an option, so a guy that they can stash in Omaha for depth.

This does fill up the 40 man, so free agent moves going forward are going to require a roster move (pending non-tender activity tomorrow)

  5. Aye!! I used to play pee wee pop warner football with this kid. Great kid on and off the field and obviously a very talented player. A couple kids I played with had gone pro him included but I believe he was the only to make it to the majors.

I had been trying to keep up and follow him but he had been injured for the better part of two years. Super excited I’ll get to watch him for our home team.
