  1. My mom was 43 when she passed from pancreatic cancer in ’23. Every year these “I Fight For…” videos make me tear up.

Hoping for all the best for Finnie and his family, and anyone else going through something similar.

  2. My dad died from brain cancer and I’m going to the game tonight completely as a coincidence. I think I might get a little teary-eyed.

  3. Perfect for the islanders with schaeffer❤️ I hope Fin and family are doing all right

  4. This kid is inspiring, wish for nothing but the best for him and his family, cancer fucking sucks

  5. my mom survived cancer twice so i know how hard it is. i really hope she pulls through and gets better soon. such an easy kid to root for, we’re lucky to have him.

  6. My dad technically beat lung cancer, but they had discovered it when doing tests before replacing his aortic valve. They wouldn’t replace the valve until he was free of cancer.* So they did after he got the all clear but he ended up dying a week or so later because things had deteriorated so much in the ~6 month delay. So cancer both did and didn’t cause my dad’s death, if that makes sense.

    * well, *insurance wouldn’t cover surgery* before the cancer was gone since why pay for the surgery if he’s just gonna die from cancer? I get a bitter feeling of pleasure when I think about how those fuckers caused the delay but he ended up getting both cancer treatment *and* the surgery so he cost them a lot anyway. Fuck health insurers.
