It’s FINALLY Happening…
It’s finally happening. We are about to get both Kobe White and Josh Giddy back in the starting lineup for the first time this season, potentially as early as Sunday versus the Jazz. And with our recent drop games, looking out of sync offensively, this couldn’t have come at a better time. What’s up everybody? Welcome to Bulls Digest. We got a great show for you today. Even in these dark days, there is light in the Bulls fandom, especially getting our two superstars back. This is very good news. Uh, incredible news. But, uh, before we get started, please make sure you hit that like and subscribe button. We’re noticing that only 32.5% of you who are stopping by the channel are hitting that subscribe button. And you’re going to want to be up to date on all things Chicago Bulls. Our team’s got you covered. From Shaq to myself to Isaas, we got you covered head to toe on all things Chicago Bulls. Let’s get rolling. Kobe White is coming back. How big is that for the Bulls offense? It is massive because now we have another counterpoint. Without Gideon in the lineup or without anyone, it was Mattis to to lead the way. He did a fine job. It’s not the same. You’re talking about an engine and a spark plug that’s able to stretch the ball. Our cohesion is going to be stronger. Our motion offense is going to have more rhythm. This is so important. A healthy Kobe White creates a different matchup problems for other teams and it creates a stronger offensive unit for us. This is great news for us. It also means that now with a healthy Josh and a healthy Kobe, now if we’re in that fourth quarter when we were we were not running our motion offense properly doing three and prey, we’re talking about Kobe can slash and kick it out to an open Giddy who can hit an open Trey or Giddy can draw two or three, kick it out to an open Kobe for a three. This is going to help us. I’m not making a prediction or I’m not saying what would or wouldn’t have happened. I’m just saying we all know as Bulls fans with a healthy with a healthy Kobe White in those close games in the fourth quarter, we are in them stretching them to uh extras overtime or we’re winning some of those. That’s just a fact. That’s just uh that’s just what it is because he he creates our offense for us and with both he and Gideon in the lineup at the same time, you’re going to see a lot more offense created. Whereas with both of them out of the lineup, you were seeing stagnant offense in the fourth quarter and everyone’s saying we needed the go-to guy. No, no, no. You need actual cohesion and you need multiple players who run the motion offense correctly. That is Josh Giddy. And having Josh Giddy back is going to be massive. I can tell you aside from us Bulls fans being excited about Josh being back, I know another player is super ecstatic and that is Vouch. Vu has played simply awful without Josh in the lineup and it shows in the statline, the stat sheet, his defense, everything under the sun. Getting Josh Getty back is going to help energize our offense and we’re going to see a lot more output from our players, which is exactly the kind of stuff that we want to see. I’m I’m happy. This is this is actually a good day. Uh we we have I I mentioned in the other video, we have an easier stretch to our schedule coming up. And I think that’s really really important for us to remember because now we can make hay while the sunshines. We had one of the hardest schedules in the NBA. And look at the look at the talent level that we played against in the East. We went with powerhouses in the east and now on our road trip we’re going to run into the the nuggets uh which are going to take care of our business. I have a feeling but there’s other good things ahead for us. Here’s a good example. Um this is actually this is from Julian Ohio. Julian O’hida from Clutch Points. He mentions Chicago’s recent downturn has been marred by the decline of offensive rhythm which is what I brought up and defensive consistency. Absolutely terrible when we don’t have that. the area that both White and Giddy have potential to impact on the full term when they return to action. Now, their updated status, he’s saying, and so is uh KC, they’re saying they’re they’re likely to be ready to go on Sunday, which is couldn’t have come at a better time. That is exactly what we need and we it we need it. Look at our offensive stat sheet in the fourth quarter. We have to have it. It’s killing us. Speaking of which, I mentioned the schedule. This is the West. And in the West, let me just tell you, man, we get a steady diet of the Pelicans, the Mavs, the Jazz, the Clippers, the Kings. I like that. That’s something that I think we can work with offensively with our schedule with a full healthy squad. And imagine when Zack Collins comes back to the fold. He just got his splint off today. He was in practice. So, imagine when Zack Collins comes back to the fold and we’re at full tilt, full health, running against sub 500 teams. we have to make Hey, why the sun shines in that specific system, in that specific uh area of our schedule because in that part of the schedule, we don’t get that back. It only the the heat only turns up in in uh January and the heat only turns up in February. So, you have to make hay while the sunshines in those in in that part of the schedule when you play those soft teams that are just out of it. And you have to you have to start to dominate and you have to start to impose your will. That’s just what it is. And with a healthy lineup, we can do that. Now, Kobe, this is last year’s numbers, and I’m just going to be really honest here. We don’t know what we’re getting this year from a healthy Kobe, but I can tell you if we saw the first six games, that’s one thing we could see. If we saw the the the next five games, that could be a little diceier. Um, I just have a I have the inclination, the understanding that with a healthy Josh Giddy, with our healthy lineup, and with a healthy Kobe White, you’re going to see those numbers increase, especially as the game wears on because we with the depth of our bench now, those players aren’t asked to be the the main role player in the fourth quarter. We have Gideon, we have White, we have we have Io, we have Vuke who can actually step up now with a healthy Giddy. Those are all important things and we have to rely on them. We simply do. That’s the key to everything that we’re talking about. Now, as far as Josh Giddy goes, how important is his points and his production than everything he’s doing with 21 points a game right now so far? Really good. Aside from the Cleveland game where he hurt his ankle and got his ankle broke, uh well, you know, broke by Hunter. Um when he twisted it, he he his his ability he just was hurt. That’s a fact. But now him healthy adds a whole new component, a whole new output for us and a whole new system for us to be able to run with Kobe White with this health train. This is really, really important for us you guys moving forward if we’re going to have any chance to start stacking up some wins against subpar talent. You’re going to have to be 100% and you’re going to have to show up every single game. And showing up every single game is something Billy Donovan brought up very clearly. This is directly related to the Pistons game. We played them when they were completely depleted with five starters. Cunningham wasn’t even in there. And we I Yes, we didn’t have Giddy and yes, we didn’t have White, but that we did not take that game seriously and it showed. He said, “I don’t want to overreact. It’s one game, but when you go through it and see these guys what they’ve done for straight games, uh, for 10 straight games to the start of the season, competing at that level that necessary for that’s necessary for a team. And then to come in and play like they did, have to put myself in there and take ownership, too. I’m coaching the team and obviously something messaging wise going on is going on that we didn’t respond to. That’s great. Take responsibility. They’re younger guys. You’re the papa bear. You’re the coach. You got you got to take responsibility. But the kids also need to step up and they need to take responsibility when they’re on the road. Even without Giddy, even without White. Now that you’re getting them back, I expect to see some serious jumps offensively. And I need that defensive cohesion to take a serious jump as well. and we will see all things ahead with that motion, with that ability. Uh we’re going to get our two superstars back and it couldn’t have come at a better time. That’s just my take on it. Let me know what you guys think in the comments section. Always love to hear from you guys. And uh please make sure to hit that like and subscribe button. Without you, there’s no us. Bulls are getting our superstars back. Let’s ride.
