Warsofsky Loves “Beat LA” Chant, Talks “Hell of a Win” | Sharks vs. Kings Post-Game (11.20.25)

Coach, obviously you guys get the win, but you know, you’ve talked about third periods a little bit here. What What needs to change in the third period to kind of get these wins in regulation? Oh, you guys are really coming at us, huh? Well, you you mentioned it this morning. Third period. Well, that’s the first question. That’s where you wanted to ask me. It’s a hell of a win. That’s a hell of a win against a really good hockey team. Do we need to get better in some areas? 100%. But so does every other team in this league. So, you know, there’s some things we need to get better at. in the third period. I thought it was better than it was last game. Um, I liked our, you know, our mental toughness to keep playing. We did some better things again. Like I said from the other night, I thought we were more engaged. Our energy was good. We were skating more connected. Um, I liked our game tonight for the most part. Feel like the team is not getting too high after, you know, or too high or too low after giving up game time goals and that that resilience has just seemed like the maturity has grown in that area. Yeah, we definitely been more mature in that. You know, I think even in uh early in the first a couple good looks um you know, and asked make some big saves and kind of settle us into the game and we got going. Your goalies have been really good lately, but the defensive structure just looks more visible game after game. Is that what you’re seeing? Yeah, we’re definitely uh if you compare the the last year to this year, our five on five chances against are way down. So, um that has helped a lot. Uh you know, and the personnel and obviously our goalending has been been really good. So, um, again, we’ve done some some better things in defensive zone. There’s still things we got to continue to work on in areas, but, um, you know, we’re for sure getting better in that area. What did you like most about the performance tonight? I just liked we were more connected. Uh, thought we were skating more, uh, more urgency in our game and, you know, I think it probably starts with with Jumbo being in there and and and helping us get going. Um, some energy in the building. It was a great crowd and and I think our guys fed off that. 60 and1 here at home in the last seven. How important is it to start and continue establishing that home ice advantage like you’re seeing tonight with the crowd and coming back and everything? Yeah, it’s important. You know, I wasn’t here when the Shark Tank was alive and well, but I’ve heard a lot about it and we are uh we want to make it like that very very soon. What can you say about Andre Kopitar, the fact it was his last game here and you know he got a goal tonight and just to see him get honored along with Joe Gordon. Yeah, a lot of respect. U hell of a player and admired him from afar for a long time and obviously coached against him, but um followed his career and what he’s done. He’s I’ve always said he’s the west coast Patrice Berson in the way he plays a 200 foot game. Um true professional in every sense of the word. So, um again, you know, I think he’s done he’s done a hell of a job for that that organization and leading it um and setting the you know, the example for for the generation that’s come underneath him. the atmosphere. How nice is it for for this organization to rekindle some of these rivalries here with the Golden Knights, with Ducks, with Yeah, it’s great. It’s great. It’s awesome. Uh, you know, we hear the beat LA chance and I think we get we get juice from it and our guys feed off it. I think it it was a great building tonight and and we want to keep winning and and putting a good product on the ice so they keep coming back and hopefully we can continue to add more fans and and make this this place an extremely tough place for our opponents to play in. How much how much confidence does your group have on on Yaro right now the way he’s going? Yeah, extreme. And you could see it. It’s been building here the last couple weeks. has been giving us. He gives us a chance to win every single night, make some huge saves early in the game. Obviously, the the shootout uh make some big saves and and really ultimately wins the game. Second period, uh you guys um the Kings had a bit of the control early on, but seemed like uh your for check and with the last five minutes or so, the second really kind of pushed back. Was there kind of a message to the guys to clean up the puck play and to get, you know, active on for check? Yeah, we’re constantly talking about our puck play and it has gotten better. Um, but there’s still areas we need to improve our puck pay through the neutral zone and and and read uh when we can make a play and when we can’t. And you know, there’s a couple in the third by some of our younger guys that they need to learn from it. And for us to win consistently um we have to play a certain way uh in certain moments and I thought we’re we’re still not there yet. We’re still a little immature at times, but I think our fourth line goes out there and gives us the momentum and they understand what the identity looks like. So, they’ve done a a heck of a job this season. I know Deli’s been on that line, but you know, our stop Chucks come in and fit in really well and obviously we’ve seen Revo tonight was was physical putting pucks behind him. So, I think that line really sets the tone on how we want to play. A couple more. What do you thought of the third line tonight? Yeah, they were good. I thought Deli was really good. I thought that line was skating, was was hunting down pucks. Um, I like their energy tonight. You started OT with uh Low Drew Bar. What’s that say about the game he had tonight? And also just cling boob because he’s the other guy who came back in. Yeah, I think you know I thought Clingy was better. Uh I thought Lily had his moments was again he can skate with those you know with with by field and those guys. That was kind of the reason for the match up. How important was it tonight? Physical play with the fourth line. Is that something you guys can also try and carry forward a little bit more and bring the physicality that you you guys can do up and down the lineup? Yeah, for sure. We something we talked about after the first. We wanted to be a little bit more physical. Um, and not so much. I know we get excited when, you know, guys are falling all over the place, but a lot of it is just finishing checks and checking and slowing guys down. Give our D more time on breakouts. Um, yeah. So, that’s something that we’ll continue to work on. Uh, and press. It’s important. How important was it to not, you know, after losing those two games on the road to come back here and not let it spiral out of control and get two wins here? Yeah. I I haven’t seen this this team have any, you know, mental weakness as far as give or I mean, we are excited to come to the rink every day. They’re they take the coaching and the criticism and constructive criticism, I should say, and and they want to get better individually and collectively. And there’s a there’s a real care to win and which we haven’t had in a long time. And you can see it. Uh I I heard Mario just after the game and we gave gave away we gave away a point, you know. So that says right there that we we want to win and that and that’s what we’re here for and we have a real care for that. That’s important. Okay. Thanks. 11:30 to

  1. Coach , what will separate this team from others is PUCK CONTROL, PUCK CONTROL, PUCK CONTROL. Right now these men control the puck like nervous inexperienced teenagers on prom night. PUCK CONTROL = Poise, Patience, Knowledge of options, and Courage to do it. Practice puck control = Stanley Cup Winner! Edit: and you’re welcome ☺️

  2. Power play has been atrocious and zero questions to the coach about it? They have to find a fix for it fast, at least generate some momentum for the team. Wiseman/Warso need to find the answers.
