Checking back in to compare the current Avs season with the previous eight under Coach Bednar, you can see just how monsterous the team's start has been over the first 20 games.
I think most of us would be surprised if they kept this same blazing-hot pace for the entirety of the season, and it's far from assurance that they'll walk away with the Cup at the end of it, but it's pretty cool to contextualize just how effectively they have started their campaign.

With basically half the Avs going to the Olympics I’m glad they’re just building Ws right now. Team is going to be tired in the 2nd half of the season, good to be getting a bit of distance from the rest of the league early in the season
God damn that’s a thing of beauty. I know this doesn’t guarantee anything (obvs) but what an insanely strong start. This team has depth, speed and momentum and I am the conductor of the hype train right now!
I kinda want to see it go back one more year.
…I also don’t want to be reminded of that year.
