DeBrincat believes ‘I should be on that team’ for U.S. at Olympics | NHL.com

  1. He’s good enough to be there but after seeing guys like Jack Hughes get absolutely bullied I’m not sure he would be the best with his size

  2. If Kane wasn’t hurt early on I would absolutely have loved team USA to try a 4th line of Cat/Larkin/Kane

I think you’re fundamentally better off putting guys who play together on the team than trying to build chemistry in a short period of time.

  3. I mean yeah but you have Caufield and Debrincat who are very similar players, both undersized wingers. And we all want Kane to make it so there has to be some tough decisions.

  4. He absolutely should. I think the entire team should boycott the olympics in protest. Of course, I only feel that way because I’m worried about the post-4-nations slump for Larkin and Raymond happening again, and the possibility of injury.

  5. He absolutely needs to be in consideration. USA is still stacked, so if he doesn’t make it I’d understand depending on the final roster. If they pick a Trochekck of Nelson over him though I’d be fuming.
