The 49ers have Voided Brandon Aiyuk’s Guarantees and are Expected to Release him

This is the least shocking shocking news of all time. Brandon Iayuk most likely has played his final game with the 49ers according to Mike Silver and Deanna Rousini of The Athletic. And the Niners aren’t going to trade Brandon Aayuk. No, it seems like they’re going to release him in the off season. This story is getting really weird. It seemed like the Niners wanted Aayuk to come back, but he stopped communicating with them. He doesn’t go to meetings anymore. He doesn’t go to team functions. Members of the organization want him to come back to the team and play. George KD said he hoped he’d come back a couple of weeks ago, but Brandon Iuk doesn’t want to play for the 49ers anymore. So, they voided his guarantees like $25 million for 2026, which he wanted them to do apparent. Like, like that’s what he wants. And so now they can release him and he can go sign which with whatever team he wants, which I guess is good, but like they g the Niners gave him a four-year $120 million contract. No one’s going to give him that contract now after the injury he’s had and the way he’s acted the last 2 years. So it kind of seems like Brandon Iayuk just nuked his career. And I don’t know why. He’s upset that they didn’t throw him the ball in the Super Bowl two years ago. They gave him all the money he wanted and more and he never got over it. I I’ll never understand that. So, good luck Brandon. Probably never going to see him again. And then from the Niners perspective, whether or not Brandon Aayuk was reasonable or not, you knew him when you extended him and you gave him what has to be the worst extension in 49ers franchise history. If he never plays another game for the 49ers, that’s they must have given him like $50 million by now for seven games and like 200 yards and no touchdowns. I have a feeling the NerS will be extremely careful in the future before giving out mega extensions to potentially diva wide receivers. If you could explain what Brandon Aayuk is thinking, please tell me cuz I don’t get it.

  7. Throwing away $26 million because you couldn’t even be bothered just to do the bare minimum and show up for team activities is just wild. Have to wonder if there’s some mental health issues or something else going on cause I really don’t understand it from his perspective. Why do you feel slighted when the team literally gave you what you wanted with that huge $30mil/yr extension? Crazy

If anything good is to come to light this season it shows that we CAN start our rookies we don't have to pay out the ass for players like him that never showed more then 1-2 good seasons… As far as getting ripped off on contracts, Im pretty sure Good ol shitty Jimmy G got us for 10's of millions for not producing AND some games single handedly giving us an L with his interceptions or down right God awful play then would walk off with a stupid ass smile like he just boned your gf as he walked off the field. 9ers management is much to blame for it too.. Professionalism starts at the top.. Hopefully we learned for these last 5 years or so.

  25. Niners are too blame fot many extensions, particularly the ones that extended into or past the Training Camp.

    Make decisive decisions prior to training Camp. Ruins is for the players who getting ready for upcoming season.

  34. Wow, a bit of a gift considering he just wants to go away and not get his 2026 Guarantee! The Dude hates the Niners for sure…whatever happened between them who knows. Go down as one of the biggest contract chokes right there with not resigning Deion, Haley, and the Trey Lance draft debacle. Diva BA was showing his true colors right after the SB loss complaining about his contract situation within weeks! He was complaining about getting paid along with his entire family on social media all spring and summer!! He was shouting out loud to Shan/Lynch on what a Diva problem he was going to be….and they blew through that stop sign and paid him! Diva Dude was all about the $$ and the lifestyle…he was no Football Homer. After all that Diva complaining I was praying they would Trade him that summer! Good luck BA finding someone to take on that lousy attitude plus the injury questions. Dude is a Nutjob for sure….well Niners count your blessings he is gone!

  37. Money is not everything when an organization does not show respect for the player. During a time when player probably needs the most support during a long rehab if the organization gives you the cold business shoulder things go bad very quickly. The disrespect of 49ers goes back to the original negotiations. This was going to be a hard marriage to keep together.
