Didn’t the Saints own us during this time?
Edit: Looked it up yeah Matt is 10-17 against the Saints 😂
Grew up in the Vick & Ryan years. The smith era. The dome used to be a lock for us, real home field advantage. Typically high scoring, clean games.
I was a kid but unfortunately it got me accustomed to thinking that was the standard of falcon football.

I mean I always appreciated him very much lol, his defenses always sucked

I know, that’s why I own a Matt and Julio jersey. (And Todd Gurley of all players because his legitimate falcons jersey was like $30 lol)

Drew Brees can get fucked
It was very clear that once Matt Ryan was gone the team was gonna have to tear it down. Unfortunately AB decided to try to keep a sinking ship afloat.

If you make it to tomorrow, yesterday was the good old days. Appreciate it.
From the 1997-2021 seasons the Falcons were two games over .500 with the bookends of success being Dan Reeves and Matt Ryan. These guys , along with Mike Smith, overcame two sets of clown ownership. Two Super Bowl appearances and 5 division titles in that same time frame. Those aren’t earth shattering numbers but those 25 years were our golden age.
Too bad many fans wanted him run out of town after the superbowl. Talk about not knowing what you have.
