Will Hardy is deadass playing Ace for only 20 minutes in these games…
Ace Bailey impressed, as usual. The second best plus minus on the team of the game at plus 3. Cody Williams had a minus 33 plus minus today and played one minute less than Ace.
Kevin Love made 4 threes
I watched Nurkic try and play basketball for 22 minutes today
The tank improves!
The only reason I’m watching this season is to see Ace have 15 points in 20 minutes (Hardy can’t play him over 24 minutes), so I can comment “Air Ace, and AC3” while going to r/NBA to shut down the Ace haters, and hype him up saying he has superstar potential, because I haven’t had hope for this franchise since after game 2 of the second round of the 2021 playoffs, when I was imagining the championship parade in downtown Salt Lake City. At least Ace gives me hope. Would be great to see him get 30 plus minutes a game
If Bub Carrington didn’t help us get Ace, and we got Tre Johnson instead, I would’ve stop watching this season 2 weeks ago after Walker got a season ending injury
I think I’m unfortunately going to finally be selling my Cody Williams stock tonight
Ace looked pretty good with his minutes tonight
Ace is good
I like Filip
We need a playmaker
Dont give up on Cody, he is better in 3 years
I don’t know how I feel about Flip being part of the “bench cleared” gang. All for the minutes, but he’s an important part of the second team and it seems like an insult.
Starting to lose faith in Will Hardy. Way too many warning signs developing. I feel like this team will need a culture change when they get more talent, similar to Houston hiring Udoka.
Might be Hardy’s worst game as the Jazz coach. This was never winnable, especially with the Thunder hitting every contested 3, but him sticking with Collier and Cody that 3rd quarter and only giving Ace who was great on both ends 21 mins is not developing players, its being a moron.
Nice games from Flip, Ace and K Love. Some rough Svi and Cody minutes tho.
This is what it feels like when your kid gets bullied and they don’t understand when you tell them to stick up for yourself.
Ace minutes and development getting sacrificed for the tank commanders Svi and Cody Williams is crazy
I know we are all mad or at the very least confused by Hardy. I was quite frustrated watching that third quarter, but I do feel like we need a reminder that we are in the process of developing 8 players, we only have one true center, and we also are trying to shop Svi. We are a hodgepodge of a team that only has one true NBA star, one rising star, and one rookie who has the makings of being an All star.
We are still in the tank phase and haven’t even started the rebuild phase. The reason people are nervous about our pick is not because we are too good, but because there are truly so many teams off to such an awful start that we may go 20-62 and still have a chance of losing our pick.
All that being said… That was a masterclass of dogshit from the coaching performance, to basically everyone’s effort especially on the defensive end.
We better pray that we somehow don’t fall out of the top 8 of the draft, and that the clippers don’t gift this OKC team a top 5 pick, or our future and the future of the West is probably cooked.
Not sure how you can all watch hardy’s post game every night.
Next year the tank is over even if we keep our pick or not
Taylor should be playing much more, win or loss, his defense is real and should be respected as we have minimal defense
Frankly, I don’t envy Will Hardy’s position right now. It’s an obviously lost season and we’re incentivized to lose (competitively) to keep our pick.
We have six vets, and of them, only Lauri is worth playing big minutes. We’re also trying to entice other teams to trade for them so they have to get a bunch of minutes. At the moment, it’s looking like Svi might be the most interesting (over Nurkic, Slo-mo, Love), but none of them are getting back more than a mediocre second round pick. Front office probably pushing Hardy to play the vets to try to get a bite.
We have to find out in less than two seasons whether one of our top 10 picks is worth keeping (Taylor Hendricks) and our sample size on him is too limited. We have three seasons to find out whether one of the worst players in the league can become even slightly below average (Cody Williams). We have two seasons to find out whether Sensabaugh will rise to more than a microwave scorer, and three seasons to see if Collier can add more dimensions to his game than being incredibly fast.
Meanwhile, we have our 19-year-old rookie in his 15th game averaging 20 minutes a game. It’s tough, and I don’t think there’s a right answer. Giving Ace more minutes has to come from Svi, Love, Hendricks, and Cody Williams, and we need answers on all four of those guys for the sake of our future. Ace will get plenty of playing time soon, I’m sure. If/When we trade Svi, shut down Love for the second half of the season, and get some answers on Cody, Ace will get as many minutes as he can handle.
Ace is great, Keynote is exciting, Lauri is gone. I don’t think Hardy is the guy. Next year might be fun.
OKC fan coming in peace, ace looked great hope he can get more minutes and touches, he will be special. Flip has a great touch too, very impressed by both of em
I know we gotta give people time, but I do not see the vision with Cody. Sucks cause he seems like a nice kid, but it’s one of those things that’s looking like it’s all just measurements that SHOULD be good for basketball. Turns out you gotta have the basketball skill to go along with it.

At least I know what defense should look like.
