Preller would not do it, but what would you trade for him?

  1. He’s my third favorite player after Judge and Trout so this would be awesome.

I’d start with a package of Dominguez, Jones, Gil, and a minors arm.

  2. Michael talking about this tells me that the team is at least considering it and they’re trying to gauge fan reaction to said contract

    1000000% pull the trigger

  3. If this even happened, I wonder how it would work with RF being already blocked by Judge

Tatis is so athletic though I’m sure he could at the very least be an average center fielder

With a guy like that, you figure it out, but it’s just interesting to think about

  4. Yankees get Tatis, Machado, and Bogaerts, along with their full contracts. Padres get a PTBNL

  5. I would absolutely do it, it’s the type of move most people associate with the Yankees and he fits two major needs. The issue is I don’t see any scenario where this actually happens.

  6. Padres fan. I’d strongly consider it if the Yankees take Machado and Bogaerts as well. Fernando is a hell of a player, but we can’t afford $70M of old manny and Xander. I wouldn’t even ask for much, lol.

  7. Lmfao. As if, this is delusional. San Diego would riot. Everyone burned through the reasonable trade rumors already?

  8. Fuck it. Let’s finally get Machado in pinstripes too. Just send McMahon back.

I’d be happy to slot Tatis in LF for the next decade.

  9. The old Yankees would trade for Fernando Tatis Jr. put him at short stop and sign Bellinger for Left

  10. Padres are obviously a win now team. Why would they trade their best player? Unless they can dump Boegarts and Darvish contract they aren’t moving anyone

  11. Need to make this happen, it’s a short window with Cole and Judge, and even Stanton.

in 2028 you shed Cole, Rodon, and Stanton, and are only eating the penalties for a couple years.

It would shut everyone up and one ring is worth it.

  12. I get a younger, better, player than Tucker or Bellinger who still has potential to grow and for around the same contract? If Tatis is available you go after him, simple as.

  13. Tatis is the ultimate underachiever. I don’t know how he manages to only have 25 home runs each year, but he is wildly talented. Hot take here but I think the Yankees should contact the pirates about O’Neil Cruz, trade for him, then send him directly to judge’s hitting coach so he can unlock his potential.
