The Detroit Pistons should NOT trade for Anthony Davis #anthonydavis #detroitpistons #dallasmavs

My sources are also telling me the big fella that Detroit has a lot of interest in old Anthony Davis. So Kendrick Perkins says that the Detroit Pistons have interest in trading for Anthony Davis. Now I’m not opposed to the Detroit Pistons making trades this year. I think they will. Whether it’s a marginal trade or a big splash trade like this, I just don’t really think when you talk about the Detroit Pistons right now and you look at their cap space situation, the draft picks that they can include in trades now. Anthony Davis to me isn’t really a player that I’m looking at and saying, “Yeah, let’s go get AD.” He’s in his 14th NBA season. He’s on a max deal right now. I think he’s making 54 58 and then 62 the final year of this deal. So around $170 million over the next three years to commit to. That’s a lot to commit to if you’re the Pistons. The other thing is the availability with him. We all know he’s talented. I remember going to the Palace and watching him drop 59 on the Detroit Pistons when he was with the Pelicans. No one’s denying the talent in Anthony Davis. No one’s saying that he wouldn’t be a good fit in Detroit. I just think when you look at the money that’s attached to him, the draft capital you would probably have to give Dallas to move off of him and the young assets that they would probably ask for, I just don’t really think it’s a good fit for the Detroit Pistons right now. I do think they will make trades. I just don’t think Anthony Davis is one of the players that the Pistons front office is really looking at to be in the sweep stakes

  1. If they bring Anthony Davis it’s gonna piss me off and continue the cycle of what they do. It would remind of the time that they Got AI past his prime. AD is past his prime

  2. Kendrick Perkins “sources” didn’t tell him anything 😂, this is just the media’s attempt to break apart this Pistons team, I guarantee there’s going to be a bunch of fake trades that comes up involving the Pistons just in order to get their front office to thinking that maybe they need to make a move.. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone’s “sources” says that JB Bickerstaff is going to take another job or another team is looking to pay him big money to hire him..

  3. I'm concerned about the money because they'd be paying him to sit on the bench injured for the majority of the time. It just doesn't make any sense to me to do that. Especially when the current roster is balling so well right now.

  4. That's a Lie💥💯 We Don't Need AD Even Tho He's a Good Player, We Have 2 AD's In JD⭐ & Beef Stew⭐We Develop Over Here Perkins So NO & NO Just Click Bate💯

  5. They need to make sure not to touch a SINGLE thing on this team. Ride it out, see how far we make it. If we lose before conference finals, trade for one more non star to fix the need we had in the playoffs, if we get to the conference finals, run that shit baxk

  6. We dont need or want AD. Hes slow and got a lot of miles on that model. We got Beef Stew & Duran and great team chemistry. Makes no sense to sell half the team for one aging player.

  7. Listen… if you can guarantee that he can be healthy during most of the next 3 seasons and give us 3 solid playoff runs. Yes, let’s do it. He can help us win a chip with his rim protection and offensive skill set. Him and Duren would a great offensive/defensive combo. AD at the 4 next to Duren would be insane with Thompson at the 3. But… I don’t think we can guarantee that he would be healthy during most of his contract. His history says otherwise.
