Hi, this is Rachel Lindsay from the Buffalo News bringing you a little inside baseball for the Sunday story that I just wrote on Alex Lion, the Buffalo Sabres goalie. Funny story, I was looking for a source from Bodet, Minnesota, the northernmost part of Minnesota. Look it up on a map and I decided to call his high school in Lake of the Woods, Minnesota. So, the secretary of the school picked up the phone. I explained who I was and said, “Hi, I’m Rachel Lindsay. I’m working on an article on Alex Lion who went to the Lake of the Woods school and I’m really looking for someone I need to talk to about him. She kind of laughed and said, “I know exactly who to talk to.” And she transferred the phone and he goes, “Hello, this is Samantha Lion from Lake of the Woods High School. It was Alex Lion’s sister.” And we ended up having this great conversation about her younger brother who’s now a goalie with the Sabres, who you’re going to read about in the Sunday story.
