Jets OC drops a BIG statement about AD Mitchell… 👀
Jets offensive coordinator Tanner Angstrand talked to the media today about wide receiver AD Mitchell and you’re going to want to hear what he had to say. Now, as we all know, AD Mitchell is coming off a very disappointing Jets debut on prime time football last week against the Patriots. But make sure you listen to what the offensive coordinator had to say cuz this is exactly my feelings about Ad Mitchell as well. Is there something specific you see in uh AD? I know he dropped some passes the other day, but there something you see that you like? Well, I’ll just first start as like AD as a person is awesome. He’s been phenomenal so far. Just like being around him. He’s got great energy. He’s got a great attitude. Um and to me, that’s where it starts. Like when I see him, I think he’s one of us, you know? I think he’s one of us. Um, but if you want watch his performance last week, I got it. That drops that that happens occasionally. But what I see there is separation. I see separation. And to me, that gets me fired up. That gets me excited about that player and where he’s going to go. We’re just We haven’t even seen it. We haven’t seen scratched the surface with that guy. And we’re excited about where he’s going to go. The key word that Tanner Angstrand mentioned in that press conference was separation. And yes, of course, the drops need to be fixed, but if you’re an NFL receiver and can get open consistently, I promise you, AD Mitchell is not going to keep dropping the football the more he gets those opportunities. And the Jets need a wide receiver that can get open consistently. And I really do feel like AD Mitchell has an opportunity to prove a lot of people wrong, and he could be a big piece of this offense moving forward. I’m not ready to just give up on him because he had one really bad game in his Jets debut on prime time football. You guys let me know your thoughts in the comments. Not sure im seeing what yall are seeing about AD. Fields gave him a few good balls and he dropped all of them for the most part . Only time will tell
I agree. All game he was getting open and creating separation at will. The rest is about practice
I was all for AD during the trade, he was a stud in college. But, I'll pass. I'm sure he will give us flashes of greatness, but I'm tired of wasting time on people who are not consistent and making excuses for them. I've never seen a consistently good/great team keep players that drop balls or get penalties for the long hall. We can keep him, but I'm want a WR in first two rounds next year.

Disappointing debut?? Justin fields threw him a rocket ball on a crossing route that he should have laid in there. If he does it’s a walk in TD. The fade ball was a 10/10 difficulty catch.
Bro i was watching him. He was different from our other wide recievers. Fast and stronger
He had distance on almost every route he ran against a good secondary in the Pats game.

He was a toss in on a trade for a reason. Dude is a WR that can't catch. He was a second round pick LAST YEAR and the Colts already gave up on him. I don't know if you've seen their roster but they don't have the WR room to be giving up on guys who are worth anything
