I am about to be as honest as I can with these Atlanta Falcon fans out there. Man, look, I’m sick and I’m tired of y’all every single year making excuses as to why your team is not good. Let’s go ahead and count the ways. First, it was Dan Quinn. Dan Quinn wasn’t a good enough coach for you all. So, you end up firing him, right? All right. You know, you end up getting another coach, right? Oh, man. We great. We gonna be good. Then we ain’t have a running game. Oh man, we ain’t got no running game. You get yourself one of the best young running backs in the game. And be John Robinson. Oh, we ain’t got nobody to throw the ball to him. Drake London, one of the best young wide receivers in the game right now having a career year. Oh, we don’t have a defense, man. Jimmy Lake, man. Jimmy Lake, it’s his fault. It’s his fault. Fire Jimmy Lake. Come in, get Jeff Albert. You get two young studs in Jaylen Walker and James Pierce Jr. defense looks good. Get yourself straight. still can’t win. Then all of a sudden, oh, we need a quarterback. Desmond Riddle not the answer. You pay Kurt Cousins $180 million. $100 million guaranteed. Then as an insurance policy, you get one of the best young quarterbacks in Michael Penn Jr. coming out of the University of Washington after having a monster game against the University of Texas. Everybody’s excited about it. Kurt Cousins goes out there, has the has Mercedes-Benz Stadium rocking, has everybody losing their freaking mind, man. We about to win. We about to go to playoffs after that overtime game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Then they proceeded to go on a losing streak. Then they bring in Michael Penn because everybody finds out Kurt Cousins is, I guess, washed a little bit. Then Michael Pennis comes in. Oh man, this the answer now man. What y’all gonna do? What y’all going to do? 2025 comes along. Michael Penn is your starting quarterback. And yet now we’re blaming Zack Robinson. Look, everybody wants a perfect situation. Everybody wants the right coordinator offensively and defensively, the right quarterback, the right defense, the right special teams. It just does not happen that way. I am not about to let the Atlanta Falcon fans off the hook. Your team is too damn good to be three and seven. Did you hear me? You’re too damn good. You got too many talented players on your football team. You only have three wins. You can blame whoever you want to. You can say Raheem Morris. You can say Zack Robinson. You can say Arthur Blank. You can say the guy that’s sitting over 500. The fact of the matter is you have got to get it done. The fact is you all should be leading this division right now. Looking at Tampa decimated with injuries. Looking at Carolina inconsistent. Looking at the Saints going through a rebuild. How in the hell are we about to go into a game on Sunday, Saints versus Falcons, and the Saints only has one less win than the best team on paper roster-wise in the entire NFC South. It is a disgrace. And I Atlanta Falcon fans, y’all ought to be ashamed of yourself for conjoining yourself to this nonsense. Your team is too damn good. Look at your organization and look at them and how they have this team structured. There is no excuse for you all to be in the state that you’re in right now. I will not let you off the hook because at the beginning of the season, everybody was unraveling Saints Carolina or y’all was beating your chest. Man, I got that swag. Can’t match my bag. Ain’t that what y’all be saying? Every single game. Now all of a sudden three wins. Now all of a sudden fire everybody. No. Everybody want perfect situations. You have got to get it done. Enough of the damn excuses. Get it done or or get lost. Plain and simple. So, what’s the excuse that you hear that’s not relevant to the Falcons right now? Well, I heard a lot of excuses in this game from the Atlanta fans that said that if Pennix didn’t get knocked out, y’all would win this game. But again, we don’t know that. Well, I I’m asking TJ this because he’s been saying that, you know, that it’s excuse after excuse after excuse this season. Okay. No, no, no. That’s fine. Healthiest team in the South right now. So, just went down 12 weeks into the season. Y’all the most healthiest team in the league for I tried to warrant and I tried to warn What’s the common thing in all of this? It’s the coaching, right? Wouldn’t it be the coaching? That’s not an excuse. That’s telling you what the fact is, right? Zack Robinson is an absolute problem to this Atlanta Falcons team. You give Kell Moore Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Yes, he was. Okay. Okay. Hold on. Yes. Yes. I’m going to I’m going to circle back to that. But if you give this same, you know, group of guys to a Kellen Moore, what would you say this Falcons offense would be? It would be tops in the NFL. You give it to Josh Grisard, it’s a top 10 offensive team. Zack Robinson does not know how to coach the enigma, the the the talent that Michael Pennix Jr. is. Listen, we all can we can all bang on the Atlanta Falcons and say excuses this, excuses that. Listen, this was a doom experience from the beginning, right? It’s all about coaching. Coaching matters. You have DJ Williams. You know who DJ Williams is? Shout out Grahamlin State. He was a former quarterback himself. He had who did he have in New Orleans? What did he have to do? He was an under offensive understudy to the the quarterback coach and the quarterback assistant. And who did he have at quarterback? Derek Carr, a veteran in the NFL. DJ Williams is not about to teach an already NFL made vet the any new nuances to the game. The Falcons brought him in as a quarterback coach. You bring in Zack Robinson that was with Steve Pazolo in company and PFF calling and predicting games and outcomes. Then you got TJ Yates. The three things these coaches have in common is that none of them are good at development. That’s the issue with Atlanta. It’s a developmental problem. These guys, sure, might have been the right coaches for Kurt Cousins. is the reason why we brought him in. But it’s a failed experience with Michael Penn because Michael Penn is a different style quarterback than Kurt Cousins. Look, when Kurt Cousins came into the game on Sunday in the fourth quarter, brothers, what happened? He went [ __ ] immediately under center. Why can’t we do that with Michael Penn? Why doesn’t under the center even exist in Atlanta with Michael Penn? Because Zack Robinson does not know how to properly utilize the skill set and talent that is a Michael Penn. Okay. It’s not that’s not an excuse. It’s not this proven fact. Let me ask you this. Why Why weren’t we having this conversation at the beginning of the season? Why weren’t we having this conversation at the beginning? Why this conversation at the beginning of the season? It it was always a relevant conversation to be had. Why we didn’t have it, Berto? Because we There was no There wasn’t There was still meat left on the bone and we still had things that were left to be desired. We we got three starts out of Michael Penn last year that showed promise. That’s all. We got to hang our hat on that and say, “Okay, he he has nine touchdowns, three intercepts, and 60% completion percentage.” Absolutely. Almost 2,000. He got good stuff. I’m not giving up on him. Folks, folks in Atlanta might be giving up on him. I’m not going to give up on him because we don’t know a if this if the uh the injuries is serious enough and b there’s still hope for this young man. We just got to bring the correct coaching staff to elevate this young man to the next level. Right now in Atlanta, it does not exist as long as Zack Brown. And you can’t tell me though, Bberto that that knee injury does not worry you after how many knee injuries he’s already had. Of course it’s worrisome. Of course. No, no, that’s fact. That’s fact. I’ll give you that, King. That’s fact. But I’m not going to worry about it right now because we don’t know the the the real report about this injury. I’m not gonna go and and go by hearsay until I get the official official. What if there’s another ACL then? You know what, brother? We gota we all yo, Godspeed. Hope you get better. Get ready to rock out next season. That’s what we got to do, man. I’m not even I’m not even going to put that out in the atmosphere. I I pray that this brother gonna be okay. But the reality about I ain’t see this energy at the beginning of the season. I ain’t hear I had man was up for a head coaching job like By who? Not by me. [ __ ] Not by me. That man was That man, look, that man got Drake London career year. Kyle Pittz looking like something career year. I mean, coming off like he he he up for a contract, but still like there’s a lot of positive things that are happening despite the fact that you’re talking about the playbook. You still got B Robinson who has over 150 yards from scrimmage almost every damn game. You got you got Drake London looking virtually unguardable around this mug. Kyle looking like a force in the middle field. And not to mention Kyle Eler is a good change of pace back. All is bro. The the team is too damn talented. I don’t care. I don’t care who you had. I I don’t care who you got calling these plays, bro. This team is too damn good to be in this position, bro. Regardless, I don’t care who your coordinator is. Three wins. Three. That’s really good.
