I woke up and this was the most excited I’ve been in a while. I think the thing that I would compare it to even the Deshun Watson era didn’t what wasn’t crazy like that cuz the Deshun Watson era like it started off with 11 game suspension. though it was already kind of faulty a little bit. But the closest thing I could think of, we talked about this on UCSS, was making sure um that we kind of put this in context because when Baker came in, Baker came in for Tyrod Taylor on like a Thursday night game and Baker was the backup quarterback and when he came in the game, they went down the field, boom, boom, boom, made a crazy scene throw to Jarvis Landry. They had the Philly special and the Browns hadn’t won in so long. We was one and 31 that everybody was euphoric because we we were so anemic offensively that what we saw we was like bro this is crazy. Baker later on would go to uh when I think he broke the rookie record for touchdowns that year. And so there was a crazy excitement level for Baker Mayfield after he played the Jets. Ironic part about it, his first full game that he played was against the Raiders. They actually lost that game. Him and Nick Chub played well in that game and they lost the game. Now, it’s ironic because again, Fedor Sanders came in for Dylan Gabriel after an injury just like Baker came in for Tyra Taylor. Then the next game, the first full start was actually against the Raiders. So, it’s it’s a little bit of u it’s a little bit of foreshadowing a little bit. And it does give you a feeling of let’s see what it is because there was times in that game where I think everybody on that last drive was feeling like oh we got a chance you know especially that that ball in the end zone like and people thought they he caught that. So there’s that energy level and I think people are tuning in everywhere to see it because and I think this was what makes it so highly anticipated is the fact that people on the opposite end of the spectrum who may not think Shador is good or or you know not even you know they think he’s all hyped they’ve already set the bar to a point where it’s like if he don’t play well next week he’s just done. So that heightens it even more because now more than anything if he comes out and he plays well I don’t want to hear nobody sitting here talking about nothing about oh I we always knew no you didn’t you didn’t always know nothing you told him after two quarters you weren’t ready to go but Dylan Gabriel get 75 quarters but that’s just the way it comes when you come with that level of brand name recognition and cache human nature is to always say you’re not that good uh resurrect uh minds and sheep were one 12 to fail.
