Also worth mentioning the Foligno trade, gave up a 1st and two 4th round picks for basically a character/leader guy lol. Brutal draft capital management over the years.
They were bad on day 1
Shanahan destroyed this team for good.
Only positive is if we tank bad this year, the 1st round pick is top 5 protected.
Bring back kadri, we need more gritty players
Scott Laughton trade was terrible Carlo is somewhat bad
We payed too much for Laughton, but I actually really like the player, and he’s an awesome dressing room guy.
The Carlo trade is a disaster. We should have never given up Minten.
They were bad when they happened. Treliving isn’t a good GM.

Wouldn’t have necessarily thrived in the leafs environment
Minten and Grebenkin haven’t done anything. Sure, they’re young but 4 goals between them in 31 games combined wouldn’t be helping the Leafs significantly right now. The whole team isn’t playing well at all and to single out Carlo is a bit unfair because he was solid before coming into this season and you don’t just single stop being a good player before the age of 30 over 1 summer. Everyone’s playing poorly
